Please remember that is fandom is meant to encourage creativity and fun. No one is good at writing their first few tries and you’re not “unintelligent or a stupid child” like that post said because you’re not perfect at it. Keep trying. Keep being creative. Keep having fun. Keep finding comfort in these characters and in this fandom like we always have. One of the reasons the characters have a lot of depth and personality is because the fandom took them in and gave them that. Whether people want to acknowledge that or not.

Gilgabath enjoys leaving people fumbled on any interesting facts about himself. He hardly shares much information considering his background or his species. He’s made of mist and shadows and lingers just beyond the veil observing all of humanity. It would seem he has a background in combat but he’ll never tell you from where. He seems to be from times of old when monarchs were still relevant. Despite his ancient feel he has a sense of playfulness to his personality.

The Humanization Of Slenderman // My personal headcannons

This part of my headcannons I reveal some of Slenderman’s method of interaction, feeding and partial view of our world.

Slenderman, an oddly figure stemming from mystifying origin so fondly humanized in our current recollections that we water him down to a concept desirable to our own. Now don’t take this wrongly, I don’t discourage those who enjoy the toned down version. lnfact, I completely understand why some fans enjoy that aspect of him. But I’m a real sucker for accurate portrayal of supernatural entities hence me writing up this post.

By default, Slenderman isn’t terrestrial therefore his mannerisms and body wouldn’t portray that. He has no actual mouth aside from the fandom adding that detail in later iterations. (I have no real issue with a mouth being added but I do think the concept is again very humanized and I think to strive for a more abstract way of his eating habits would make him more compelling as a creature). Because of his lacking mouth there’s no means for physical consumption of human matter. Rather, his dietary process takes place more so on a telepathic - energetic level with his target. When in vicinity of his victim he uses fear to pin onto his prey so he can form a connection that allows him to supplement himself. His overextended period by this person alone can provide him with food for a long while in likeness to how a spider creates lasting food out of a insect. He feeds on the mental energy of the victims he stalks. Due to the person’s mental matter deteriorating this explains the insanity they experience while dealing with him. Primarily, Slenderman’s targets usually aren’t those who are aware of his existence. This is because he wants easier targets to tackle. Considering the illusion of the unknown, people aware of him are curtained by a false sustenance of knowing so his ambiguity is ruined. That’s not to say slenderman won’t interact with individuals aware of him, he’ll use them to his advantage to regulate his own means.Slenderman isn’t actively aggressive nor passive he’s either or ,he’s the limerence between both in world and Out. He’s more so based on instinct, his intelligence level is above humans but he struggles to replicate human culture (their mannerisms, language, gestures, body language, etc..). Thus why he silently observes humanity from a distance. Quaintly he is curious about them and has the technological understanding of how they work and how to break them but still faults to grasp their structure and other minor details they carry.
