I just saw a fantastic documentary about these frogs, Purple frogs, that have the WEIRDEST mating rituals. The male (much smaller) climbs onto the female’s back (which is disgustingly mushy by the way) and stays on using specialized pads on his hands. Then, they both go on a journey to find a water source with a pond that’s perfect for laying eggs. The female carries the male the entire way. They are slippery and fall a lot, but get back up and keep going always.

I love these frogs.
