Galactic Quarrels: War
Hello! It’s really been a while and i apologize for that. I came upon a horrible writer’s block and just no motivation to write at all. Well i’m back now, and sorry for it being so short just... not really feeling well these past few months.
I really hope you enjoy
Friday, 7th of August.
Taking a sip of his coffee, he typed on the keyboard of his laptop while Jill sat across from him sipping her own cup of coffee. Notification pops up on his device and reads it, it’s a news article. He read a couple words of it. “Oh shit! They’re expanding the migration program” He suddenly said.
Jill looked up from her phone and leaned forward interested, Michael showed her the screen and herself read the article for a few seconds before smiling. “Oh good, thought they’re gonna trash this program. How many participants did that say? 500? Damn that’s a lot of humans coming here”
“I know right? We won’t be that lonely anymore” He said, taking away the laptop again. “Say the last few weeks have been fun huh? Walking around the city is quite nice”
Jill chuckled. “Wow really? Weird hearing it from you, yeah it’s quite fun”
Two weeks have passed since the two met, since then they’ve been taking more frequent tours around the city with Yaku as their guide, it’s also relaxed their mind when Yaku starts learning about small talk and more detailed explanation.
“Don’t think of all this as a date alright? We’re just business partners” Jill immediately bumped in afterwards.
Michael bursted out laughing.
Sirens all around the city blared, the blue sky turned orange, and Michael woke up from his sleep and immediately met with an emergency call from the UTF defense ministry. He picked up the phone while jumping out of bed and put on his clothes. “Michael this is urgent, Zarqon is no longer safe, we are sending a ship to extract you.”
He’s about to answer until his entire apartment building shook violently, dropping his phone. He walked out his bedroom and to the horrifying sight of a smoking city, missiles whizzing past. He quickly picked up the phone again. “Sir what’s happening!?”
“There’s no time to explain, get to the rooftop immediately! Your life is in danger!” That’s when Jill and Yaku entered Michael’s room in a hurry and panicked with Jill rushing over to Michael.
Taking hold of his arm Jill got him out of his room. “Come on let’s go!” Yaku followed behind them as they ran down the hall and to the grav-lift. The glass-look on gave an even clearer view, a capital ship above the city, raining down hell.
Michael stared with widened eyes before snapping to Jill. “Tell me what’s going on!” He yelled
“Are you blind!?” She yelled back as she gestured to the massive ship outside. “City’s under attack!”
Yaku stared down at her city getting destroyed into oblivion, explosions, and flames. “No…” She said in despair.
The door opened and they ran out to the rooftop as a small transport ship with the UTF’s insignia swooped down and hovered at the edge of the building. The back hatch opened and they jumped on with Michael giving Yaku a little boost and safely got on. “Go!” Michael yelled to the pilots.
The back hatch slowly closes and the afterburners fire up, launching the ship up to the atmosphere. Looking out the window, there appears to be only one ship firing upon the city. Not an entire armada, but what makes this worse and confusing, they could see the UTF insignia painted on the side.
“This is bad…” Jill commented as they sat down and strapped themselves in for the ride.
Michael let out a sigh, looking off to the side with a confused look running his hand through his hair. “What the hell is going on…”
“Wolfhead, VIPs secured, on our way to Forward Base Echo for debriefing”
The ship slowed and stopped in the emptiness of space, looking back out the window, the human capital ship jumped into warp just as the Zarqon fleets arrived. “Tighten your seatbelts, going to warp in 5… 4… 3… 2… 1”
The ship cuts a hole in space in front and goes into hyperspeed, escaping the carnage that they have witnessed in a once beautiful, blossoming city.
Unfortunately, this is only the beginning.

Galactic Quarrels: Unexpected Visitor
And here I am, back again with another edition to this series. Thank you all for your support, this one I flashed through and had so much fun writing it! Be prepared for the next one because things are about to get... teddy bit crowded
~~~~~~~
In the early morning, as the sun rises over the horizon, Michael is out on the balcony doing stretches, bending his body and legs in ways a Zarqonan would most definitely find disgusting and painful.
Taking a deep breath, he opened his eyes returning back into reality, looking left and right looking at all the high-rise buildings and the large blue lake over in the distance.
He needs to maintain his physique and strength, but as of now, he hasn’t built up the courage to go outside in sleeveless shirts and running pants with shoes. So to substitute for it, he starts doing body exercises and stretching in his residence.
Walking back inside he walked to the coffee table picking up his holo-watch and taps it a few times. Screens show up showing his fitness routine and exercise record, not enough by him letting out a disappointed sigh.
He is still a citizen of the UTF as per the migration deal, he’s basically just out on vacation instead of moving away from his parent’s house and finally moving into his own.
And being a citizen of the UTF, he is still a Lieutenant in Frontier Command, UTF’s equivalent of a space army and fleet.
He wonders if he should go home again.
Turning the watch off and placing it back on the table, he walked to the kitchen counter taking his glass of orange juice. It’s a surprise when he got a package of Earth’s fruits, he also got a blender so better use it rather than leaving them in the fridge.
He feels watched though, the last few days he has this unease in his heart and the feeling of being watched 24/7, even when he’s going to go to sleep. He looked up and around the apartment again, there have to be cameras in here there has to be.
He returned his focus back to his orange juice and went behind the counter to blend some dragonfruit. The sounds of the motor and turning blades blast the room while the noise of the fruit being chopped and blended echoes outside into the hallway.
“I hope they don’t think I’m making a bomb in here” *He muttered to himself as he waited and waited. Turning it off and pouring it into another glass, he raised it up to his mouth, ready to drink the dragonfruit only to be interrupted by the quiet knocking of the front door.
“What?” He said quietly, he knows Yaku, or any Zarqonan never knocks on the door and just burst in unannounced, this is new. “Coming” He yelled putting down the glass of dragonfruit and cleans his lips with some tissues before walking to the door.
He looked around again as that feeling of being watched still lingers, then he faced the door. No peephole or see-through tech, he wished he was back on Earth now. Taking a deep breath, he reached for the knob. This feels different, it feels like it’s not a Zarqonan over on the other side. Could it be a Murumur? Could it even be a government agent that came to pick him up without telling him in advance?
He doesn’t know.
He doesn’t know if he opens the door he will wake up inside a shipping crate on his way to the edge of the galaxy to be sold in the galactic black market.
A muffled feminine voice can be heard. “Come on what’s taking so long?” Human, a human voice.
He’s taken aback, he turned the knob and slide the door open and looked down at the figure. A human woman, wearing a black and dark red coat with a full military-style uniform. Taking a quick glance at the woman’s face, yellowish eyes with hair that’s tied back into a long ponytail that stretched down to her hips.
Around 5’7” tall, he couldn’t believe it. “Um, hello how may I help you?” Michael let out an uncomfortable chuckle. “Haven’t seen a human face for a while”
“Of course you haven’t” The woman replied with a relatively sour but somehow comforting attitude. “Jill Porter, nice to meet you, Michael”
“You know me?”
The woman laughed while nodding. “Everyone knows you, Lieutenant! The mad man that wants to migrate to the Zarqon homeworld” Mad man? Is that his title now? The mad lieutenant?
“Oh, that’s uh… interesting I guess” “Yeah, interesting indeed” Jill claps her hands together and peeked into his apartment. “Can I come in?” Michael stepped aside. “Sure, let yourself in.”
As the woman walked into Michael’s apartment, he walked into the kitchen finally drinking his glass of dragonfruit while the door automatically closes itself. Glancing back towards the girl, he prepped a cup. “Tea or coffee? They’ve come from those weekly packages.” He said taking the coffee jar.
Jill took a seat on the armchair in the living room, looking back at him. “Cofee would be good” Then she looked up and around his apartment. “Nice place”
“I thought every room is designed like this?” He responded while brewing a cup of coffee.
“I mean yeah mine is basically a carbon copy but it’s nice to be polite” Jill replied with a chuckle as she fixed her attention to the tv, turning it on.
He walked over placing the coffee onto the coffee table and sat on the couch, leaning forward resting his elbow on his thighs folding his hands together. “Alright, cut the chit chat. Who are you and what do you want?”
Jill laughed as she looked back at Michael with a smile. “Are you deaf? I just said who I am. Jill Porter.” She shrugged and tilted her head. “For what I want, I want you to help me here.” She said pointing at Michael.
Silence, a few seconds pass by without a word being spoken before Michael replied to her request. “I like to know who my employer is.”
Jill laughed once again, shaking her head then nods. “You’re smart Michael, no wonder you go through the ranks at a young age.” Jill reached into her coat and pulled out an id card. “Jill Porter, lead xenobiologist for the Putter Institute.”
He took the id card and looked at it. A rotating model of Jill, name, age, occupation. He returned it and sighed. “Alright, what do you need help with?”
“I need a willing specimen, a Zarqonan”
“And what will you do with them?”
Jill pulled out a holoprojector. “Exactly one week ago a Zarqonan arrived at our local Topirus branch, the outermost colony in UTF space” An image of the Zarqonan in question appeared. “She is missing a back-left tentacle after a horrible accident in one of their orbital research stations.
To create the prosthetic requested by the Zarqonan, we need to examine the back-left tentacle.”
“Let me guess, they don’t let any humans onto the station?” Michael concluded first before she continued.
“Yes, that’s right.”
“Alright, I understand why you’re here now,” He said nodding while Jill put away the projector.
Jill leaned back into the armchair. “So, lieutenant? Can you help”
A few seconds of silence as Michael stared at the ground. He looked back up and answered. “I know a girl”
~~~~
Michael’s residence has been turned into a makeshift examination lab and Yaku was brought in for the examination. The xenobiologist, Jill, worked examining Yaku’s left-back tentacle taking scans and examining its structure.
Yaku herself did not mind but is thinking if there’s another way to make this more efficient and not resulting in a mess.
Power cables scattered across the floor connecting the power to the lights and scanning equipment Jill brought with her. The doctor looked eager examining the subject, asking Yaku all sorts of questions.
“So what are the purposes of your tentacles?” The doctor asked while Michael is leaning back against the wall on the opposite side of the room.
Moving up one of her two front tentacles, she speaks. “The two front tentacles are used to maneuver, turning left and right and to slow down.” She then lowered the tentacle lifting up one of the back ones. “The back is for moving around.”
Michael grunted as he pushed himself off the wall and walked over, crossing his arms on his chest. “I still don’t know why you just don’t render a model immediately and make it.”
While continuing the examination, Jill answered. “At Putter we do not waste resources. We take the exact measurements, the exact height and preferred weight, joints and muscle contraction points” Writing the last bit of info into her datapad she stood back up.
“Also, this is a great learning experience for us, in the case aliens demands for prosthetic rises,” She said turning away to the table and portable little computer transferring the data.
“So there’s a consumer satisfaction stance, and a marketing stance,” Michael concluded once again.
“A hundred percent correct Michael, I thought you would be hard to work with” She turned back around. “But it looks like everything worked out fine.”
Michael turned to Yaku and nods. “Thank you Yaku”
“No problem Sir Michael, I’m glad to help.” Yaku said turning to Jill and make an attempt at smiling.
The two humans not noticing the subtle small attempt of smiling, both of them shook hands. “Well looks like everything’s done now, thank you, Michael, I’ll get an update soon enough”
“My pleasure” Letting go of the firm handshake. “Well since everyone is bored and doesn’t have shit to do, want to stay and watch some movies?”
Jill chuckled and shrugged with a smile. “Well sure! Just don’t put on a romantic one, we’re not there yet.”
Michael laughed and waved her away. “Oh, how bold of you to think that we are already in a relationship? We’re just acquaintances” That gained laughter from the opposition. Michael turned to Yaku and gestured to the couch and armchair. “You want to join Yaku?”
Yaku looked over at the couch and tv before nodding slightly. “I would love to.”
“Great!” Michael was about to go to the kitchen only to realize all the equipment in his room. “Oh uh, clean this mess first would you?”
Things are starting to get a tad bit crowded.

Galactic Quarrels: The Grand Tour
Welcome back people, this one took sooooo long to finish, and I think I’m happy with the current results, tell me your opinions and critics. I’m working with several artists to bring some original art to the fray, but for the next few writing pieces, I will be using someone else’s art, credited of course. Hope you enjoy
Cold, bland, and emotionless. Those are the only things Michael could think about the apartment he is living in. No decoration, no wallpaper, no color, he does enjoy minimalistic designs, this is too much.
He woke up to the same morning alarm from his phone, covering his eyes from the seemingly never-ending bright light on the ceiling of his bedroom.
Hopefully, today will be different, the last three were unexciting, to say the least. Just cooped up in his residence is not the way to getting used to things.
“Agh… well, they tried at least…” He repeated that sentence to himself again. He doesn’t like anger, especially because of something the Zarqons have near no knowledge about.
Putting on his sneakers he walked out from his bedroom into his kitchen lazily, piles of dishes in the sink, dirty countertops, and yesterday’s leftover cooking.
He got nothing better to do, and he starts to clean up his entire apartment and have a little breakfast while watching tv.
Same old news, he’s surprised he hasn’t died from boredom. He looked behind him out the window towards the landscape of the megapolis, perhaps the view was the thing keeping him sane for the longest time.
The door suddenly opens, startling him nearly launching the bowl of cereal off his hand as his head snapped at the door. A Zarqon, no, Yaku entered his residence. “Good morning sir Michael '' She greeted him.
Fixing himself back onto the couch and checking his clothes for any spilling, he sighed and looked at Yaku. “Can’t you knock first?” He asked with a little bit of an attitude.
She tilted her head. “I’m sorry but I do not understand the concept of tapping my hand on the door to notify you-”
He cuts her off, waving a dismissive hand at her. “Yeah yeah I know, you don’t understand that concept no need to explain it in full detail”
He noticed himself getting a little angry, his heart pounding. He took a deep breath to calm himself down. He looked back at Yaku again.
“So what are you doing here?”
Taking another step forward letting the door close behind her, she speaks again raising her hand. “I am your guide, so let us explore the city”
“Huh…” He wasn’t expecting that at all. “Well alright then” It made him excited and energetic once again.
He stands up finishing his bowl of cereal quickly placing it in the sink and put on his jacket with Yaku’s eagle eye watching his every movement. “I’m in, alright!”
~~~~
Stood tall inside the crowd of Zarqons, Michael looked up and around his surroundings, excited, and filled with enthusiasm. As an expert navigator, he is eager to learn this city’s layout and the ins and outs of how things worked.
Michael felt something poking him by the leg and looked down to the sight of Yaku offering him a small PDA, fit for a Zarqon, but big enough that he could use it.
“In this tour, I will briefly explain every single landmark we pass, that PDA in your hands will show you the full information regarding the landmark” She explained waiting for confirmation.
He understood as he swiped and tapped the PDA, already translated to English he nods to Yaku. “Affirmative”
“We could go to one of our digital vaults, but I’ve decided to give you a tour since humans tend to be bored easily when not moving” He couldn’t tell if Yaku said that sarcastically or seriously. “Let us move”
He actually doesn’t mind going to one of those vaults she mentioned, but oh well, he followed through with Yaku’s plan and head on down the road on a tour of the city.
“I must also warn you, please do not urinate or spit on any plant life we have here. They are very vulnerable to human urine and spit”
“Have you had some kind of incident that made you *have* to warn me not to piss on plants?”
“No we have not, but we know humans can be reckless.”
He chuckled and shook his head, smiling as he looked down at the PDA browsing some of the landmarks here.
They’re all very unique, a Hypercomms Unification Center, a ‘hub’ of communications to and from Zarqons all over the galaxy. Mostly used to inform or warn colleagues.
Drone Hub, so they know the concept of drones and air travel. Seeing this he looked up and continued to look up. After five minutes all he could find in the sky were the alien birds that peacefully flew by without being disturbed.
Strange, if they do have a Drone Hub, and the document explained that there are two on every city, then where are the drones?
Walking up to the first landmark they came upon this massive canal with an arch bridge connecting the two sides. The canal is flowing with purple water, or liquid, he honestly doesn’t know.
It looked watery with how fast it’s flowing down the canal, like a river but at the same time, it looks very gooey. He turned to Yaku that looked at the water before turning towards him.
“This is the Zealot Canal, it’s a solution our scientist created that enhances our growth and resilience” And Yaku began to walk away.
Michael was about to ask but had to catch up and walk beside her. “Wait so do you absorb it? Or do you drink it?”
Looking straight ahead she answers. “We consume it yes”
He sighed, getting such a straight-forward answer, not even small talk. He continues to follow Yaku with the tour, seeing several more landmarks that he honestly forgot. It’s such an underwhelming and, dare I say boring tour.
Contrary to what Yaku believed, when they returned to Michael’s residence, Michael flopped onto the couch letting out a sigh. Looking unsatisfied.
“What is wrong Michael?”
“No, it’s…” He let out a sly sigh. “It’s nothing, thanks for the tour Yaku” Michael responded quickly looking at Yaku.
She nodded and left the room immediately after.
Michael sighed and stared up at the ceiling, wondering if getting a genetic mod for killing boredom is worth it or not.
Galactic Quarrels: City of Spirals
Amazing, fantastic, beautiful and relaxing.
Things that come to mind as Michael looked up and around the Zarqonian city. The sounds of the waves crashing against the floodwalls as the rays of the sun shone down with it’s delicate, warm blanket relaxed his mind. While the architecture and lack of sound added more to that, he’s in bliss.
It’s such a refreshing and eye-opening experience, no sound of cars, no construction, no loud advertisements posted up at tall buildings with their obnoxious blinding lights, nothing. He’s in paradise.
“We must thank you for taking this opportunity sir Michael, we have feared that no human would arrive, but we were proven wrong. Please enjoy yourself in your stay”
Michael turned back around to the group of Zarqons and nodded. “I need to thank you as well for creating this opportunity for me, and all of the other humans”
The Zarqons nodded as the one on the back, donning a blue carapace with golden eyes moved forward. “I would like to introduce you to your traveling guide, Yaku Latatarun.” The Zarqon bowed.
“Oh” Michael looked on and chuckled. “You really don’t have too, I would be fine on my own”
“Please sir Michael, it is our custom to guide those who enter our domain. Murumurs expressed complaints of getting lost on their visit here, and we do not want that to happen again”
Michael nodded to the explanation, fair point. The Zarqon homeworld is one of the rarely mapped planets in the universe, with only very few publicly available undetailed maps, it’s hard to traverse the megapolis landscape.
“Pleasure to meet you sir Michael” Yaku greeted him, it’s strange when someone greets you with such polite and soothing voice when their face is cold and plain as an anvil.
Michael gulped and nodded as well. “Pleasure to meet you too”
The group of Zarqons left after bowing except for Yaku. Michael looked down at the short Zarqon and they stared for a few seconds unsure what to do until Yaku speaks. “And welcome to Zarkin”
He nodded and smiled at Yaku, Yaku did not express disgust or fear and just stood there, looking up at Michael. “Thanks, Yaku, or is there a title I should call you?”
“My first name is okay, we do not care about titles, as long as everyone is working at full capacity titles do not matter.”
“Good to hear” Michael tightened his bag strap and fixed his hair.
Yaku turned around and walked forward. “Shall we?”
~~~~~
He found himself looking up in awe while traversing the city landscape, this is so alien. Spirals towering to the sky with no cars or trains in sight.
This is so much different than Earth… no, this isn’t Earth. This isn’t a human city and he needs to remember that.
Looking back down to the road he is met with a sea of short walking Zarqons that filled the street, the ones near him looking up in awe, shock, surprise, and some kept their distance from the human.
They’ve been walking for 20 minutes, he scanned the street and finally realizing that there is a lack of public transportation here.
Strange, knowing the Zarqon as a logical and intelligent species he would thought there would be massive mag-lift trains slithering up and around buildings or a sophisticated fixed-car route.
He suddenly bumped into Yaku who had slowed down from her pace. “S-Sorry” He looked back at Yaku to find her smoking a bit from the back of her crown.
“It is quite alright, don’t get too entranced with the scenery sir Michael” Yaku stood still for a few seconds until the smoke dissipates and they are back on the move.
~~~~~
It still surprises him how minimalistic, and colorless everything is. Spiraling towers of pure white with no windows, streets of grey and white with the only thing giving off-color is the yellowish alien trees.
He understood that Zarqons prioritize efficiency, and doesn’t know the concept of decoration and scenery, it’s just… strange.
Maybe he shouldn’t have signed up, maybe he should’ve followed his father’s orders and stayed back on Earth enjoying his vacation.
He sighed deeply, fixing the bag strap over his shoulder. Too late to go back now, he will have to adapt to how everything is.
Entering the out-of-place human-looking skyscraper, just a tall block, they immediately entered the elevator and the little pod using anti-gravity launched them up the shaft.
It startled him a little and placed his hand to the walls to regain his balance. He looked down at the unphased Zarqon staring out the window of the elevator pod.
The pod slowed down and they reached their floor. Both of them turned around and walked out. He stands still to look up and around the corridor while Yaku waited.
A dimly lit corridor with chairs and several green potted plants laid out symmetrically in the corridor. He approached one and touched one of its leaves, synthetic.
He sighed in disappointment, he had hoped he would find familiar plants such as back on Earth. He continued down the corridor following Yaku.
Stopping in front of a white door with an obvious peephole, Yaku waved her hand in front of the sensor to the side and the door slides open, that he did not expect.
The two entered the room, and he was met with a sight to behold. A lavish white and grey room with seemingly dim blue wires on the wall for decoration. The large window’s shutters slid up to let in the sunlight and revealed a beautiful landscape of the city.
He stared on in awe, he couldn’t imagine anything better than this.
“This is your residence for the rest of your stay, sir Michael. It is complete with lavatory facilities, a kitchen, living room, and bedroom. We will send you ingredients every two days and you can request anything”
This is a whole lot better than living with his parents.
He looked down at Yaku after setting his bag down near the white plain couch. “Are you serious?”
Yaku nods. “Yes, I am serious”
He let out a sigh as he took another look around the apartment, still amazed by all of the accommodations given to him.
This might be the best day of his life.
Galactic Quarrels: Arrival
Thank you, everyone, for supporting me so far into the series. Sorry that this one took so long, busy with school and reading books trying to improve my writing. Anyway update on the flag I finished it, still similar to the GTU flag but it’s pretty original.
Tumblr media
That is everything.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
‘By order of the Galactic Assembly identify yourselves!”
The audiobook’s voice cuts as Michael took off his Voidpods, the sound of the roaring engines of the ship’s Ion thrusters faintly rung in his ear as he smiled. He remembered the time his father goes up to the stage and conducted that beautiful speech at the day of the launch, he remembered the times when humanity cheered when they encountered other sentient life.
He remembered it all, the moments he and his nation went through has been filled with glory, pride, and caution. But not every memory is filled with joy and thrill, some are filled with horror and despair.
He remembered the War of Insults, millions of UTF soldiers died on that planet. Sunk deep beneath its oceans are the debris of UTF dropships and fighters while on the grounds and mud, are the corpses of humans and aliens holding their weapons fighting a war that no one wanted.
He was in that war, the most terrifying, and horrifying experiences in his life. He saw his platoon get ripped apart by monsters who are three-foot taller than him, the sounds of gunfire and artillery deafened his ears.
He watched his friends die, but somehow he got out of that war unscratched, maybe lady luck was on his side.
It didn’t really matter anymore, he’s happy that the war ended and that’s what matters to him the most. No more suffering and no more deaths in a senseless war due to ideologies.
He looked around the empty passenger compartment once more, and could only sigh at the sight. Seats who are intended for hundreds of people are all empty.
Even though it doesn’t bother him that much, it still plagued his mind what the war did to humanity and their stance on other alien species. Hate spread like wildfire, especially against the Janids.
To make matters worst the UTF introduced the Galactic Migration Program, intended to be the foundation for galactic peace, instead, it became a disaster with no one signing up, except for Michael.
And here he is, on a transport ship on his way to the homeworld of the Zarqons, a species of reptilians utilizing tentacles for movement instead of legs. Their home planet is classified as an Ocean World so no wonder they must have evolved from a species of reptile squids.
“Attention,” The pilot said through the intercom to Michael as he looked up from his trance. “We are approaching Zarkin, ETA ten minutes” The pilot informed to the only passenger aboard the vessel, Michael nods as he pulled out his holophone to catch up on some news.
The headline showed already made him roll his eyes in disappointment.
Tumblr media
Even in a time of complete unity, xenophobia and discrimination will always exist, no matter how hard you try to banish it into the realm of old savage ideas.
He understood the pain in losing someone close to him, he remembered it vividly and in great detail, but that did not fill him with revenge or rage. It was war, death was inevitable, it never changes.
He loved aliens, ever since watching the TFS Ambition launched he’s not only a military fanatic but an alien lover too. He loved aliens, he loved new ideas that aliens might practice.
The ship shook and metal groaned as the intercom screeched again “Entering the planet’s atmosphere” The ship rattled and shook as it slowly broke through the atmosphere, and he looked out of the viewing window to see a sea of blue accompanied with massive spiraling skyscrapers in Zarqon design.
He watched on with interest as he pocketed his holophone again then swung his bag strap over his shoulder. “Approaching landing pad, good luck out there,” The pilot said his goodbye as the ship shook once again with a thud, then the engines slowly turn off.
Michael stands up, securing his belongings and bag then walked to the side doors. They open and a gust of wind blew on his face and body and the sun shone down blinding him.
After his eyes adapted he looked on at the city, a metropolis with spiraling skyscrapers cutting into the sky, the sounds of the waves crashing against the shore as small alien birds flew overhead chirping.
“Ah... beautiful,” He said to himself as he walked down the side stairs, he was met with four figures standing tall and elegantly. He wasn’t sure what to do except for trying to make a good first impression.
He swallowed and approached the four Zarqons, and taking a closer look each of them has different colored carapaces and different colored eyes, it was fascinating to say the least.
Hands folded in front of themselves, they all conduct their Zarqon greeting, nodding lowly before looking back up. The one with the beautiful bright yellow carapace and a slightly larger crown stepped forward with their tentacles. “Welcome to Zarkin, Sir Michael. We hope you will enjoy your stay in our wonderful world” Very formal and stiff, with no hand gestures as they wore a cold, expressionless face.
He nodded and responded with his warm, welcoming smile as he gave a quick nod. “Well, I hope so too and thank you for the introduction. I’m very excited to be here”
The Zarqon nodded once again. “I am Wasaqi Zakurin, head of the new galactic migration council, a pleasure to meet you”
Introductions and greeting continue for another few minutes as the two exchanged words and Michael laughing here and there. In this world, he’s the alien, not them.

Galactic Quarrels: Contact
First of all i want to mention that the flag shown in the first post of this series is not mine, and originated from the original story of Templin Institute with their series Stellaris Invicta. I recommend you to watch it, the worldbuilding and storytelling is glorious and amazing.
The flag's design will soon be changed to something original made by me, for now use it as a reference, thank you
~~~~~~~~~~~~
With the launch of the first human intergalactic spacecraft in the year 2125, humanity cheered with the success of the Hyperdrive and the mass-production of ships fitted with the faster than light technology is already underway. transport, cargo, tourism, and military ships are retrofitted with the Hyperdrive and the biggest shift in human society happened. Trips to planets and mining sectors in the solar system that previously would take months to complete now can be achieved in seconds.
Food and resource shortages on Mars and the lack of rare minerals on Earth are no longer a problem due to the fast delivery time made possible by the Hyperdrive, and shipyards that are building UTF warships that have undergone so many delays with the lack of spare parts, components, and electronics will be completing the next Terran Battlegroup in the coming months.
The hyperdrive is a massive success, not only by bringing Humanity to other distant solar systems but also easing transit costs between planets, and also stopped the ever-growing problem of shortages due to miscalculated arrival dates or the depletion resource reserves.
With these problems reduced to ash, the UTF’s economy is now growing at a fast rate and it’s people living in conditions near to a utopia. But living under these conditions came at a cost, resources and commercial goods do not simply come out from thin air, so the civilian population is put to work in mines, factories, plantations, and other hard-working environments to meet the ever-increasing need of commercial goods and demands.
The term hard-working is greatly exaggerated, these workers still living in good conditions, enough food and water and shelter, and treated equally like any other.
In some cases, people are forcibly resettled from their homes either on Earth, Luna, or Mars, to work on mining ships that are headed for the asteroid belt to gather resources and minerals. Unmanned automated mining drones are the ones used to collect minerals, but human labor must be done to reach the deeper resources inside an asteroid, and achieve maximum efficiency. The families of the resettlement victims are horrified, but the UTF assured them that their husbands or children will come back home safely after their three-month working period.
Some see these resettlements as a good solution to unemployment and/or laziness in the population. But others see it as another form of forced labor imposed on the population, and with the secretive nature of the resettlement, fear spreads of whether who is going to be taken next against their will. But the paranoia soon subsided as the first batch of workers resettled three months ago returned to their homes and family, and tell the story of good living conditions and their safety was guaranteed. The UTF wished that the problem ended right there, but skeptics among the population doubted the words of the workers.
Theories of the UTF forcing the workers to say that to their families and passings is to protect the government from the possible civil outcry that could happen or the brainwashing of these workers to become loyal laborers. Through the screens and holographic projections across human cities, the UTF reassured the populace that these rumors are false, and the workers are treated equally and humanely with no brainwashing or the beating of freedom of speech.
The statement appeared to have calmed the populace for now, just in time for the newly built Terran battlegroup of two battleships, four cruisers, and eleven frigates, with five destroyers coming out of the production line in the coming days. The UTF military power is growing at a rapid pace with the invention of the hyperdrive.
On the frontier, UTF exploratory vessels are exploring solar systems near Sol, with Sirius and Alpha Centauri being absorbed into the UTFs borders by the construction of a frontier outpost in the star systems, and the most shocking of all, a planet lush and vibrant with plants and alien wildlife the size of Earth in Sirius. Sustainable calm oceans, and no tectonic plates with similar rotation time, it makes the perfect natural home for humans. Devoid of earthquakes made by shifts in the tectonic plates, meaning buildings doesn’t need a strong foundation to withstand earthquakes, meaning less material needed for construction of a colony.
And in 2132, in the colonization of Sirius 3, now known as New Haven, the discovery of another habitable planet in the Trappist System, the majority of the planet’s surface is water but stable landmasses. Seeing how common habitable planets are in their part of the galaxy, the UTF launched a colonization campaign where people are encouraged to volunteer as colonists for the colonization of another world to be added into the UTF. The campaign was a success with over one million volunteers signing up in the first month. Equally distributed to New Haven and Trappist 4, now renamed to Spes, the UTF now have five celestial bodies under its rule in seven years.
With many systems being absorbed into its borders, and many more planets being colonized, the UTF is growing, its economy growing faster and faster with a seemingly endless source of materials and millions of factories under its belt, more ships are built, shipyards and stations are completed, more Unions under its banner and development never ceased.  Determined and patriotic citizens work hard, their minds filled with years of propaganda and luxurious living lifestyle with security in mind, with many more job opportunities to come, everything is stable. And inventions after inventions made things even better, the creation of the Antimatter Reactor brought even more power into ships, being able to be fitted with more systems and components. Battleships became increasingly larger with bigger weaponry, army equipment reached new heights with the introduction of a Nerve-Cancelling drug and Combat suits offering better protection, while Mech Suits offering more firepower into the battlefield.
Tanks increased in weaponry while becoming more elegant and heavily armored. It’s also worth mentioning that all of these mining stations, starbases and outposts are state-owned assets. No civilian or private corporation is to ever build mining outposts, research stations, or trade centers in space. But that doesn’t stop the economic growth of all Unions under the UTF, and if not working for the government, the population worked for these corporations adding a line of employment into human society.
Violence and crime is still an aspect of everyday life, it's impossible to fully eradicate crime without being a hive mind. Police forces are given more and more advanced equipment each month, unmanned combat and scanning drones, full-faced helmets and exoskeletons for riot police, shock batons, expandable riot shield and so much more. All of this is an effort to reduce crime in the Unions, although successful, criminal minds will find a way around some of the measures taken to prevent their operations, a large crime organization has never been truly formed in the UTF.
Not like previous expectations of the future, instead of white, open and wide green fields, UTF cities and Unions are tightly packed with towering thin skyscrapers, and a black but non-figuratively toxic atmosphere of factories working around the clock. These specifications are only seen in industrial heavy cities though, with other cities like Al-Jabari in the new green Sahara shows great leisure opportunities and wide living spaces, the perfect vacation spot.
~~~~~~~~~
The year is 2136, the year where everything changed. UTF Battlegroup 7 is out on its patrol on the Northern outer rim of UTF territory where future constructions have been planned, it's smooth sailing until their sensors detected a strange unknown object in the next solar system previous scans have never picked up. It’s small and giving off a signal, like a beacon.
The Commander of the Battlegroup split their fleet and sent one cruiser with three destroyers and seven frigate escorts to investigate the object on the neighboring system. While the Interception Flotilla is on their way to investigate, the rest of Battlegroup 7 went back to their designated patrol route.
The Captain on the cruiser and its escorts went to the edge of the system and initiated a jump over to the next system, nicknamed “The Rodina” By many with no particular reason, when asked they replied with “It just sounds cool” The fleet jumped into the Rodina system only to arrive right on top of the object, it’s smaller than expected... there are lights on it... and thrusters.
The Captain spilled his coffee after realizing what it is, an alien spacecraft, and they just jumped on top of it and probably startled the crew with the size of the cruiser. UTF Captains or Commanders don’t receive first-contact training, no one does. The Marshals doesn’t see it as necessary due to the speculation that this early into the space age Humanity won’t be meeting any aliens
With no training on how to handle sudden first-contact situations, the crew is confused about what to do. The Captain does what’s logical and ordered comms to hail the alien vessel. The vessel itself is strange in design, harboring the color blue with a sleek design and curves around its thrusters, it looked similar to a squid.
Comms attempts on hailing the spacecraft succeeded, but what came through is unintelligible garbling, chirping, and hisses that terrified the entire crew, it sounds horrifying. The captain immediately ordered the Linguist masters on the ship and the ship’s AI to translate the words being spoken, silence fell across the bridge as the Linguists and the AI worked to translate the language.
Many of the crew feared a hostile confrontation, and many feared being fired upon. The Captain yelled into the comms, on the line with the other human ships to not open fire in a panic. The linguists and AI succeded on translating the Alien language, although it's only a rough translation, it's enough. The language is then uploaded into the crew’s microchips.
The message conveyed through the transmission will change humanity, forever.
“By order of the Galactic Assembly identify yourself!”

Galactic Quarrels: Lift-Off
There it is, standing atop of a launch platform in the grassy plains of the Sahara, the first intergalactic spacecraft of the UTF. The Green Sahara project is one of humanity’s most ambitious project they have ever pulled off, turning the desolate desert into a green, vibrant with life, forests, and fertile soil.
Drawn on the side of its hull is the UTF Flag, and under it, painted with bold white text is “TFS Ambition” Besides the construction of the domes, this, is humanity’s greatest achievement in history.
A white hunk of metal pointed at the sky, ready to spearhead humanity into a new era of intergalactic exploration. Engineering and land crew scattered across the field and landing platform, dwarfed by the massive starship and its open cargo ramp revealing it’s dark cargo hold as vehicles drive up and down the ramp transporting the necessary components and rations the crew needed for their journey.
In its center, is the Hyperdrive, the pride of human inventions. The hyperdrive can open a subspace tunnel to its destination and travel through it almost instantaneously, well, that’s what it’s expected to do. With no prototype testing, everyone was certain that the ship is just a massive metal death trap, even the High Marshall of the UTF is doubting the hyperdrive’s hypothesized capabilities.
This entire event can be humanity’s proudest moments, or humanity’s most embarrassing, and catastrophic technological failure in centuries. The crowd formed a few kilometers away from the launch site is in the thousands and the assembled stage for the highest-ranking crew members stood strong under the heat of the African sun. UTF, UNE, and ROF representatives sat in their VIP seats on the front, while senior officers and the chosen crew sat behind them.
The UTA government is a Representative Democracy with militaristic influence. Each human government in its borders must choose officials to become representatives at UTF meetings, these meetings will be sent up to the National Council where a group of twenty UTF council members will converse with the representatives. The decisions in these meetings will then be sent up to the Marshalls, this group of nine people will answer to the High Marshall.
Every citizen has the right to vote, with each Marshal and the High Marshall having a service term of twenty years where a national election will take place on every human world to vote for the next High Marshall and his/her Marshalls.
Marshall Oprinchuk Nil Vladislavovich walked up to the stage wearing his ceremonial uniform that consists of a military black suit, the UTA Emblem on his upper left breast and a red and black with three white stripes armband on his left arm. He proudly stood in front of the audience and VIPs, other marshalls and part of the national council are here. He looked down at his wrist, a holographic projection of the script he has to read for the speech.
The blonde-haired man with blue eyes took a deep breath, as his hands hold the lectern. “Ladies and Gentlemen, in this glorious, and joyful day, we are gathered here to witness the launch of humanity’s first-ever intergalactic starships, the TFS Ambition. Years of technological innovations and development lead us straight to this moment, where humanity will finally achieve its dreams of sailing across the black sea we call space, the final frontier.”
Vlad paused and looked at the crowd, all silent, filled with patriotism and pride of humanity. “The ship and her crew will embark on a journey, like none other. They will explore the great unknown as the first pioneers of intergalactic travel. They will explore distant stars, explore countless systems for the greatness of humanity and uncover the mysteries of the universe.” Several flashes of cameras taking pictures and live footage of the speech broadcasted across Sol.
Broadcasted all over the world, every restaurant, every mall, every pub and homes, everyone is watching. “These men and women will spearhead us to a new age, of exploration and technological wonders. On their journey, they will face many dangers previously unknown to us, but they will fight through it with courage and bravery,” Vlad leaned forward on the lectern, closer to the mic. “The time has come, the time where the universe meets humanity with all of its might, the time where humanity ascends into the intergalactic stage
I wish the crew of the TFS Ambition good luck, bring humanity into a golden age of technological ascendancy, and prosperity. Thank you” Applause erupts from the crowd, and howling of the excited civilian filled the staging grounds. Vlad walked off the stage and the applause drags on. Taking a seat back on the VIP section, he let out a sigh of relief. The young Marshall’s heart, no older than 28 years old, was beating in fear of messing up the speech.
He received a nudge on the hip from his side, he looked over to see Marshall Jane Honner, the more experienced and prideful Marshall, smiling at him. “You did good kid”
As the applause ends, another man walked up to the stage. Wearing a green army uniform similar to the Marshal’s uniforms in design. The man wearing it is a hardened-veteran, white-bleached hair and a scar-filled face, General Wolf Stone. Walking to the lectern, he holds the edges with his hands as he looked on to the crowd. He breathes in, then started. “I am honored to be able to speak in front of everyone this glorious and prideful day. Since the days of War Amongst Friends, the UTF has evolved into this state of cultural prosperity and endless economic growth, and I am happy to see this development.”
The young General, only recently promoted, is seen as a war hero. He fought and kill like other soldiers in the war, but he saves hundreds of civilian lives in the process, regardless of origin. His most popular act of bravery is the defense of Kohl Union Hospital in Western Europe, the hospital was used as a field hospital for Martian and Pro-Dissolve armies, housing wounded troops and civilians with much martian staff. When the Pro-Earth armies marched on, ignoring the order to fall back, he fought with his unit against the onslaught of Pro-Earth troops, supporting the evacuation of the hospital, instead of the initial plans of abandoning them to their fates.
“The war left people devastated, families separated, cities ruined, and humanity shattered. So I am very pleased that we set our differences aside and form the UTF, and I am proud to become a part of this government.” Wolf looked on to his wife on the far back, smiling with tears, beside her is the smiling seven-year-old Michael Stone. “But humanity managed to rebuild itself, families reunited, and we united under one banner once more.”
“The Grand Army of the UTF will stand side by side with the United Space Corp on this journey, and I wish you all good luck” The applause that followed is not as grand as the previous one, but still ear-deafening nonetheless. Trumpets roared in ceremonial anthem as UTFJets flew overhead creating the UTF flag in the blue sky.
Next on the agenda is singing the UTF anthem, everyone stood up from their seats, while the previously crowded civilians formed symmetrical lines that stretched across the field. Palm to their chest above their hearts, as they sang the anthem. A choir of instruments and their magnificent beautiful sounds filled the staging ground once more, instruments playing as the people sang the lyrics in perfect sync, filled with pride and determination.
Five minutes passed and everyone returned to their seats, The stage’s back curtain was drawn back to reveal the magnificent TFS Ambition in all of its glory. It’s launch thruster spewing cold white smoke, eager and ready to launch. “With the end of this ceremony, without any further interruptions or delays, all remaining crew of the TFS Ambition shall board the vessel,” The female announcer said over the speakers.
The crew for the ceremony stood from their seats and made way to their vehicles, and drove off to the launching platform. The crowd watched in anticipation, the Marshalls and Council Members watched on with pride in their seats. The three massive television screens turned on to show footage of the busy bridge, a camera outside the vessel, and the camera crew keeping an angle on the beauty.
The last of the vehicles parked as the crew hastily entered the spacecraft with the ground crew clear of the launch site. The massive ramp slowly closes with its hydraulics, and with a hiss, the cargo hold is sealed shut. The captain of TFS Ambition already gave a speech earlier at the start of the ceremony, entered the bridge as she sat on the captain seat. “Run diagnostics on all systems, check and double-check the engines and cargo hold”
“All systems optimal, engines are heated up and ready to fire” The Engineering officer reported.
“all cargo and containers have been strapped down and secured for launch Captain,” The logistical head said over comms.
“Check and double-check the reactor coolant, run second diagnostics of every system”
“Coolant is at optimal levels, and all systems re-checked, no anomalies”
The Captain grinned, taking a prideful stance on the captain seat as she looked onwards out the bridge’s windows. “Olympus this is TFS Ambition, all systems checked and we are ready to launch” She contacted the orbital station.
The comms buzzed. “Copy that Ambition, you may launch when ready, good luck out there”
“release platform stabilizers, initiate first burnout sequence”
The ship roared into life as the engines activate sending a small rumble across the ship, the long stabilizers attached to the ship broke off. “Systems are good, hyperdrive secured”
“Initiate second burnout sequence” A larger rumbling occurred on the ship as the engines are tested for any problems for launch.
“All systems green, ready to launch on your command Captain”
The Captain leaned forward in her seat, looking out the window at the blue sky. “Let's meet aliens, engage thruster launch in 5...”The bridge crew, logistics, engineering, medical, and maintenance crew strapped themselves down in their seats. “four... three” The Captain leaned back on the chair strapping herself in also. “Two... one... fire!”
Thrown and pushed back onto their seats, the thrusters fired at full capacity launching the spacecraft into the air and up at the sky. “Lift-off achieved!” everywhere on human worlds, Mars, Luna, Earth, those stationed on the research station above Jupiter, all cheered wildly, happiness and adrenaline flowing through their bodies.
The crew itself was happy that the ship didn’t explode on the launch, but could only smile as the Gs hit them like a truck. They passed the clouds as they began burning through the atmosphere, and a few seconds later, they are in space and the weight was now, non-existent. “Turn off the engines!” The crew was about to cheer before a commanding bark from the captain silenced them. “Don’t celebrate yet, getting out of the atmosphere is easy, the real challenge is will the Hyperdrive work? Or will we be turned into goo”
Aimed at Alpha Centauri, the ship crew run diagnostics once more. Navigations checked and verified their transit route. “Engage hyperdrive” The crew tensed up as the Hyperdrive activates, a rhythmic  “Beat” spreads across the ship slowly going faster, and faster until it’s beating so fast that it's just a single note.
“Warp in 3... 2... 1... warp” In an instant, the crew felt nauseous as the space in front of them opened up into a tunnel, and without skipping a beat, the ship goes barreling through it in speeds humans have never experienced before. And just like that, the ship was gone.
Tumblr media
Attempts on contacting the ship and its crew after the warp was unsuccessful, only static and an empty video feed. Only for the day after, the crew hailed back, and everyone screamed in joy.
The Grand Marshall smiled out from her private estates in the city of New Falklands, a floating city on the southern Atlantic Ocean, the rousing and ear-piercing cheering and screaming from the television, and from the streets and buildings below filled her ears.
“We did it”

Galactic Quarrels: The Beginning
With the number of people reading my stories, I think it's time we start from the beginning and become legitimate here. Now some of you must have been quite attached to my two main protagonists, but I've been planning for this to become a legitimate series of my own galaxy, so please don't be mad if you won't be able to see more of Michael or Yaku.
This is the start of a series, some of the previous information on my stories are invalid now, please enjoy! Suggestions are allowed btw
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In 2060, the first manned spacecraft landed on Earth's neighboring planet, Mars. Broadcasted across the nations on Earth, it's the start of a new era for humanity. The United Nations of Earth is in its juvenile state, a newly formed global government that united Earth's nations under one banner.
The United Nations Security Council transformed from its previous role of keeping nations from warring with each other to a fully working military. All countries pledged into this idea, finance and assets were donated to the newly born UNSC, United Nations Space Command. Its main goal is to safe keep earth's galactic territories from future insurgents or extra-terrestrial life.
The UNE's new territories are Luna and Mars, with the moon colony previously established in 2052 flying the blue banner with earth surrounded by golden wheat strands. Development in Astrophysics and propulsion technology propelled humanity further outward to the edges of Sol.
In 2082 the UNE utilized the asteroid belt and start a long, hard, but beneficial mining campaign on asteroids in the asteroid belt. Rare metals, minerals, and resources were extracted from the belt of asteroids and transported back to Earth for her further development, and Mars for the Eco Dome Project.
The Eco Dome Project is one of the most ambitious projects the UNE has ever done, the construction of three massive eco dome, complete with their own life support, and self-sustaining systems. The colonists on Mars won't be living in metal tin cans anymore and will be stepping on grass, feel the bark of a tree, and sit on the grass for the first time in 10 years.
Some are grateful that the hard-working Mars colonists will not be living in metal cramped habitats any longer, some are skeptical of the project whether it's going to be a success or total failure. There are many viewpoints on the subject, but all of them agree on one thing, humanity needs more space to live. And so the project was launched in 2085 with the resources previously mined from the asteroid belt.
And there it was, three white glass domes. Inside it are green, grass-filled plots for construction of homes, schools, playgrounds, parks, and stores. Humanity has never been so proud of anything they've built before, the next four years are filled with the most joy-filled construction and settling in operations of the Mars settlers, into their new environment. 20 years of grueling hard work, finally paid off.
With nothing to lose, the settlers rushed through the doors into the airlocks, the harsh martian sand and landscape behind them as the door tightly shut. Decontamination spraying of the settlers then informed to take off their spacesuits. Neatly hung up in another room, the settlers looked on at the massive blast doors, behind them, which is paradise.
The door slowly opens with a loud rumbling and screeching, light flooded into the dimly lit up airlock as the settlers put their hands over their eyes to shield them from the sunrays. Once their eyes adapted, the sight was beautiful. The sounds of birds chirping, the spraying water from the fountains, they could not believe their eyes.
Beautiful, everyone was speechless, they feel like they're home, back on Earth. The children who were born on Mars get to see the beauty of Earth's atmosphere and environment for the first time in their lives. Those watching at home are just as emotional.
But their work wasn't done, so the emotional moment was cut short. Quickly settling in the settlers went back to their assigned jobs, from supervising the foundry, or tending to the greenhouse, and logistic transferring.
In the 22nd century, Mars has been successfully colonized and a regional government was established shortly after. Three years went past without incident, and the UNE is expanding further out to the edges of the solar system. The moon Europa became a big mining site, while Saturn’s rings are explored for any valuable resources previous observation and scans might’ve missed.
But it all changed in 2112 when the Martian government and people demonstrated and protested with the lack of martian representation in the name of their galactic nation. Of course, the name United Nations of Earth only represents the people of Earth and not the entirety of the human race that’s living outside of Earth. The call for dissolving the ancient global organization of the United Nations made by Martians spread like wildfire, while back on Earth, UNE loyalists countered these calls by doing radical measures like attacking shops selling martian goods, or Martians that are visiting Earth.
The violence between humans returned into society, it’s like history is repeating itself. The Republic of Mars, in response to the brutal violence, initiated a meeting with Earth’s Nations that are a part of the UNE. Not the same geopolitical borders, these nations are split by their respective continents. The North American Union and South American Union call for the end of the violence and support the dissolve of the UNE into a government and name that represents the entirety of the Human race.
Meanwhile, the European and African Unions, as well as Oceanian Union condemned it and refused the dissolvement of the UNE, while the Asian Union is undecided.
This crisis caused such a political divide that the UNE broke into a Civil War, with no one wanting to change their stance on the subject and negotiations after negotiations failed, the Unions and Mars warred with each other for three years.
The war was devastating, with large-scale fighting of human battlegroups everywhere in the solar system, and the war on the ground claiming thousands of lives. But resources became sparse, and the economy is reduced to ash, this fighting needs to end.
Like history, humanity stopped the fighting and went back to the negotiating table. The unions will be left as they were before the war, meaning no change of territories, the Republic of Mars received low-ranking sanctions for their actions of promoting the violence leading up to the war. After that, the decision of creating a new Galactic government that represents the entirety of the human race. It’s not ceremonial in nature, but it will be guiding and governing the unions, Mars, and future colonies to reach humanity’s interests
The Unions, Mars and future colonies will retain some sovereignty. But galactic affairs, military affairs, galactic exploration, and its economy will be in the hands of this new government. After many debates and considerations, a week of negotiations later, all parties have decided, and the United Terran Federation was born.
Tumblr media
The flag developed for the newly formed government is a unique one. The Emblem represents the human nations united under the government, the red resembles courage and bravery while the black resembles the fighting and death humanity went through to form the government and a sign of mourning for those who fought for the senseless war against themselves. the three white lines resemble a belt of protection, protection of humanity against threats either domestic or foreign.
The war left cities devastated, cropland reduced to ash, and wrecks of spacecraft drifting lifelessly in space. The war became known as War Amongst Friends, a memorial was built on Earth’s capital city, Berlin. It is one of the first victims of the war, the city is also the first to be rebuilt and became a megapolitan city in this new government.
All resources and manpower are redirected to rebuilt Earth’s torn up cities, while scrap ships scoured the black void salvaging the wrecks of UNE ships forced to fight each other in the war.
Ten years passed since the forming of the UTF and the reconstruction of Earth and it’s Unions. The economy is growing once again and now with home secured and rebuilt, the UTF aimed their ambitions to the stars, a galaxy filled with wonders that are waiting to be explored. Adopting the color hue of black and red, UTF ships, both civilian and military flew across the solar system transferring goods and resources back to Earth, for the construction of their first-ever intergalactic ship, that will bring humanity to a new era of space exploration.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope you enjoyed this new start of our universe, this new series will be covering the intergalactic progress of humanity and the challenges faced in the galactic community. The introduction of new characters and our man Michael will be in the next part of the series, for now, thank you for understanding

Humans are Insane "Masters of Worlds"
Hello again, I'm just writing out some stuff I have in my mind and also just to give you guys something to read, Insurgency will be posted again and I want to develop Michael's and Yaku's relationship, so enjoy their somewhat wholesome moment.
Michael has gained quite the popularity in both the UTA and GA, starting from his heroic act in the terrorist attack back on the colony and his decision to migrate altogether to another species' homeworld.
It's such a strange feeling for him, he's just doing what he does best, being a soldier and navigation.
Walking down the familiar roads of Earth with his trusty companion Yaku, they spent the last few days exchanging words and just hanging out. "Trust me, once you tasted it your mind will be blown"
Yaku looked up at Michael curiously and confused. "I wish for my mind not to be blown into bits, Sir Michael"
Michael rolled his eyes. "Of course not literally Yaku, it means that you will be surprised by the taste"
Pushing the entrance door to the cafe, they walked in and the same feeling of the conditioned cold air hit their bodies, Yaku has grown used to it by now so she's not as shocked.
They both took a seat at an empty table. "Just trust me, I've drunk these stuff as a kid and I frigging loved it, you won't be disappointed"
"You're heavily hyping this drink sir Michael, I just hope it tastes as great as you've described"
"Can I get you two anything?" The waitress asked as she walked over to their table with a friendly warm smile.
"Yeah we'll both get the Jester Crest please"
"Oh sorry, the Jester Crest is already sold out today"
Michael sighed in disappointment while Yaku intently watched. "Well, what's the second-best alternative to that?"
"We got the new Houston Punch, it's second-best and it's ingredients are imported from Mars"
Michael raised an eyebrow from the thought of a drink whose ingredients are imported from the red planet. "Alright we'll get that instead"
"I'll be right back with your order" The waitress walks away while Michael slouched back on his chair sighing.
Yaku watched him. "What is wrong?"
"Nothing, I just hoped I can get you the thing I just talked about. It's a quite popular drink here in this district so no wonder it gets sold out fast"
Yaku wondered what makes this piece of beverage so popular and delightful. She knew the human custom of mixing ingredients to make something else, her species does too but not in the form of a recreational beverage.
Yaku also noticed the glances Michael got from the other customers, especially human females. "Michael, the waitress earlier mentioned your neighboring planet Mars, may you tell me it's history"
Michael got out of his defeated state to his excited state, he leaned forward on the table and cleared his throat. "Alright, I love telling these. So, Mars, it is a planetary body that has been a part of the Sol solar system for thousands of years, millions even. Scientists speculated that Mars was habitable some thousand years ago and it was green. This theory came up after studying the polar ice caps Mars has on its poles.
We've been wanting to go to Mars, and that dream came true when our Space agencies, SpaceX and Nasa launched it's Olympus rocket in 2060. Carrying a cargo of three humans, two males and one female, they got to Mars safely without much incident"
He took a few seconds to catch his breath, before diving straight back in. "Let's skip a few years and plans on colonizing Mars have already been drawn. Due to Earth resources being sucked dry, metals and minerals are also becoming rare. The plan was initiated in 2065 by launching a rocket filled with little droids that will set up a mining outpost in the southern hemisphere of Mars"
"Solar energy became unreliable due to the distance of Mars and the Sun not giving enough sunlight, and the occasional dust storms that dropped visibility to near zero and blocked sunlight. Wind and thermal energy and eventually a nuclear power plant were built" Michael paused again, looking out of the window. "40 grueling years later the first dome was built"
Michael looked emotional, staring out into the busy streets. "Some new forms of cuisines and leisure are created. Low gravity cafes, low orbit observatory, literal orbital jumping... it was as glorious like humans first discovered fire, sparking a new age for humanity"
Yaku sat still, in silence as she processed all the information, and discovered how insane and fascinating humans are. "You've colonized a dead planet without outside intervention?"
Michael looked back at Yaku nodding, crossing his arms. "Yep"
"...I have no words to describe what I feel, you humans are fascinating"
Michael chuckled at Yaku's cold emotionless face, he could feel the confusion and questions she had in her mind from a mile away. "Yeah I thought you would say that"
"Sorry to keep you waiting," The waitress said as she came back to their table bringing two glass of colorful drinks topped off with whipped cream and a small spaceship cookie on top. "Enjoy!" The waitress then left after placing their orders on the table
Before Michael could take a sip Yaku came up with another question. "Are there any other ambitious plans that humans are planning to create in the future?"
Michael sighed and pushed the glass aside to answer her question, he leaned back and places his hand on his chin, thinking. "Well, there is one that is planned to be launched at 2245, the Titan project where we make a habitat at low orbit on Saturn’s biggest moon, Titan and extract the liquid water that has been scanned a few years back. So it's 15 years from now"
Yaku is even more speechless, an entire man-made habitat that might be the size of a small moon orbiting another moon that's orbiting a gas giant. "But won't the gravity pull prevent that? Jupiter's gravity pull is stronger than Titan's
Michael chuckled and shook his head. "We've come up with a solution, the orbit hook. It's designed almost like a space elevator but it's a giant tower that is drilled into Titan that will keep the habitat in orbit. Massive tungsten poles will keep the tower up from the high-speed winds. But there's some other solution that is already approved, I forgot what it is"
Before Yaku could object, Michael suddenly looked excited. "Oh! Oh!" He looked like a child in a playground. "A Ring World!"
"Ringworld? Care to explain?"
"So it's basically a ring around a star that will have habitable plots, four plots, more specifically. These plots will be able to sustain life and have its own atmosphere, but some scientists said it's impossible, cool concept though" Michael's excitement seemed to die with the last words.
"Wha-how... how!?" Yaku said with her tone raised, seemingly frustrated from all of these insane and impossible ideas. "You are insane! Humans are insane!"
Michael is obviously taken aback by Yaku's unusual attitude and tone. "Woah Yaku calm down, the ringworld looked and sound unlikely" He grabbed her glass of drink and pushed it closer to her. "Take a sip, cool yourself down"
Yaku looked down at the drink that is offered to her, she wrapped her hand around the glass and took the metal straw into her mouth. It's quite awkward due to her species horizontally locked jaw, but once a drop of the colorful liquid dropped into her mouth, her eyes widened in fascination and surprise. "This... this is... this taste... great"
Seeing her reaction Michael is also curious about the taste. "Oh? Alright, then it’s my turn" He took a sip and has the same reaction with Yaku. "Mmm, that's fucking good!" He then took the little spaceship cookie, dipped it in the drink and chomps on it. "Wow this is good, it's sweet with a mix of different fruits"
He looked over only to realize Yaku has been slurping up the drink, it's already half-empty. "Woah Yaku, careful you might get brain freeze"
Yaku stopped and looked at Michael. "Brainfreeze?"
"You never have a brain freeze?" He finally realized that she is an alien and not a human, her reaction earlier made him think so. "Right you don't experience brain freeze, my bad!"
Michael smiled as Yaku went back to slurping the drink, it's rare to see Yaku this excited so he's just enjoying the moment. "Woah hold on I haven't even slurped mine!" Michael starts slurping to catch up with Yaku.
It's quite a strange and rare exchange.

Origins
“The way Humans entered the galactic stage will surprise you, they do not use Anti-gravity disks for their ship, they didn’t even discover how to create anti-gravity.”
“So what do they use scholar?”
“Not warp drives, not anti-gravities, not even jumpdrives. They use chemical thrusters at their early stage of space exploration, they colonized their neighboring barren dead planet somehow. But that doesn’t matter, you requested me here to explain how humanity became what it is, today.”
“Many solar cycles I spent traveling through the stars and empty void of space, stepping foot onto planets that are known to host humans, and meeting them. I remember my first time meeting a human, he was tall, brawny and a beast. It could not stand still, it will keep moving it appendages, even when talking making strange, illogical motions”
He chuckled. “I was so fascinated and confused by it that I forgot what he said the past half-cycle. We met in this recreational center that served liquids and sustenance for humans, barely anything for a Zarqonian. We sat on a table, he was across from me. He smiled”
“What is a “smile” scholar?”
 “It is a gesture made by a human mouth, sometimes the end of their lips curl up with their cheek muscles contracted, sometimes they added teeth into the mix”
“Please speak clearly and logically scholar”
“Right, right sorry. I heard it’s a phenomenon... what was its name... “Humanizing” yes... Back to my story. I am no doctor or surgeon, so I could not explain their biology correctly so please excuse my lack of vocabulary”
“It won’t be a problem”
“Thank you councilor, we sat in that bar for what felt like hours, my heart pounded my insides from fear, but my mind is filled with fascination as if I'm fighting with my own self in that situation”
“He told his stories, doing some jokes that gathered some laughs from other patrons, I did not understand of course but I did not question it. He told the stories of the first humans to board their intergalactic spacecraft, he described the vessel as "sleek" and great. A mix of aerodynamic to penetrate the atmosphere and mixture of heat-resistant materials. It's primitive of course, they blasted themselves up from the surface of their planets and into space"
"Sounds barbaric, don't you think scholar?"
"It is, my first thoughts are exactly that but the more I hear from the human I slowly come to the realization that humans are just as intelligent as we are, as logical. They know the concept, they know how to make Anti-Gravity disks, it's predecessor is the Maglift, they're just limited to the technology they had at the time"
"He described the sight of the vessel launching from it's launching pad as glorious, and I quote. "2000 years of human engineering, packed into the size of a small town" A small town, he described the size as a small town and need a crew of 40.000 humans from all departments, engineering, bio-engineering, medical crew, bridge crew and so on"
"...And they did it, they reached their goal. They activated their Hyperdrive and warped space and time itself, and Hyperjumped to the nearest solar system, Alpha Centauri and it's binary star system"
"Insane"
"My thoughts exactly too, barbaric and primitive, insane to the core. But the more time I spent with this human, the more I understood their way of thinking, They utilized everything they know about Astrophysics and formed something fascinating, beautiful, and insane. Did you know that the money that went into their space program is only 2% of their budget? Instead, ours was half of our governmental budget”
“With such a small budget, I was surprised they managed to make something new, unique. Instead of going lightspeed they create an artificial wormhole and travel through it... imagine that councilor
“I wish not to Scholar”
“W-well that’s okay councilor, you don’t need to. Our conversation stretched on for another cycle, or an hour the human said. Only then i asked, ‘Could you explain the rumors that have spread about your species?’ and the human sat there, looking out of the window for a few seconds staring at something before he looked back at me and answered...”
“What is its answer?”
”Some of it was true, but the majority of it are exaggerated stories made to create fear. I would like to express some of the truth he told me”
“Go ahead, we would not believe it anyway”
“...Remember when the Murumur announced the first contact with the humans? The Drev scoffed, we hummed, the others are a mix of amusement and shock. That’s when rumors started to spread, describing humanity as a group of lunatics and an insane species, but that is simply not true, they are wonderful creatures, intelligent and logical. When Earth simply does not have enough resources to sustain humans, they expand to space to their neighboring barren dead planet, Mars. Instead of giving up, they think wide and far, and once they landed they adapted, building gigantic glass domes to sustain life, residential, agriculture, and commercial needs. It brings jobs to the human race, and the resources they mined made them prosper, thrive. But they wanted more... more glory but not by war, exploration, and expansion.
Instead of lounging around in their riches, they use those riches to develop their sciences, their technology, they have dreamt in sailing across the black void, created entertainment, recreational movies about space and humanity being there and they will make that dream come true.”
A call from the councilor’s bracelet cuts his speech. “Councilor, urgent news, five of our people are attacked by humans”
The councilor listened in, then looked back at the scholar who seemed shocked. “Intelligent and logical you say? What’s intelligent and logical in killing our people, scholar?”
“N-no it must be a misunderstanding, they are peaceful! They would never do this...”
“Relay this message to the rest of the council, we will talk with the humans” To the scholar’s misfortune, the councilor left.

Humans are Insane, “Insurgency” Part 2
Good day, now this is a little it short because I’m lacking motivation and material right now but hope you enjoy it either way
"Humanity's Front,"
"A Xenophobic underground organization that has been operating for the last few months, smuggling weaponry and parts, to make the AST armor that you fought yesterday"
The man in the chair turned around from the screen, to face Michael. General Wolf Stone, one of the generals in the UTA, Michael's father. Donning a Dark-green uniform with many medals on his upper left breast, he stood up from his chair
It's not just Michael that's in the room, the Police Chief, wearing the light-blue uniform sat beside him, eyes focused on the screen as he scanned every word, every sentence. Michael could only stare at his father, not a single word coming out of his mouth to ask a question. He never expected to see his father, no, not in this situation.
"Michael, you must be confused right now, and lots of questions you need answers to" Why is he here? Why is he sitting in front of his father talking about this? Why is he inside a dark room with no lights and only the screen illuminated the room?
"I need your skills once again, son"
Michael let out a sigh to relax, crossing his arms tapping his foot on the floor. He looked up. "Dad, why? Why am I here? Why do you need me? I'm just a Lieutenant and there are more competent navigation officers out there"
The white-haired, wrinkled old man sighed deeply shaking his head. "Because you're the only one I could trust as of right now. These guys have been working under the radar for almost a year, who knows how many spies and agents they have spread out?
You will be sent to another secure location for briefing, Major General Morisson will be there to greet you" Wolf sat back down on the chair and swung back around, looking at the screen. "Chief, I trust you would cooperate with my son"
"Of course General, it's an honor"
"Also, Christmas is canceled for those pagan believers, now go"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
72 Hours Later
"With the rise of Xenophobia in the United Terran Alliance, we could only assume that these xenophobic groups will be causing quite a stir in everyone's life"
It's been three days since the meeting with his father and Major General, he's inside a bar sitting around buying whiskey, blending in while listening to the news anchor on the TV. The sound of a deep British accent covering news of xenophobia is quite intriguing to him.
"Along with it, the UTA has stricken planet checks on the outer planets, it enrages some but the UTA assured it is for their own safety. There also have been rumors of unknown arrests made by the police"
The TV was drawn out by the voice in his earpiece, a woman operator codenamed "Seattle" has been assigned to him for this mission. A Humanity's Front regional headquarters has been identified and verified by the AST pilot taken from the attack, his mission is to sneak inside the apartment building with the help of the operator and the map.
"Michael, your time to shine, the clock's ticking" He got up and left the bar, walking down the sunny street to the target building. Once in front, he looked around checking and then climbed the metal wall using his mag grips. He's now on the front yard and quickly jumped into a bush.
"We identified a highly important document in the attic, grab whatever you can and get out of there"
Michael nodded and slowly sneak out of the bush, he sees a fire escape stair and sneaked up it. Coming to a window he slowly lifts it open and climbed inside. "Cloaked drones are around the building, when things go hot they will cover your escape"
He stopped in the kitchen leaning on a counter. "Why are you telling me this now?" He asked taking a good look up and around the kitchen from his position to identify anything suspicious, just blue and white furniture, a robot hand and a stove
"To give you a sense of relief and safety"
"You're not helping" He went back on the move and came upon a dark room, he sneaked up against the wall and peeked into a room illuminated by a table, three unknown men and one woman all gathered around the table. The air is unusually tense, Michael had begun sweating.
He eavesdrops on their conversation. "The bull is in transport from the docks right now, 700.000 credits haven't gone to waste"
"We still have to consider into account the risk of being compromised by the searches"
"It will be fine"
He moved on after gathering that info and moved up the stairs onto the third floor, he passes several rooms looking out for traps and alarm systems. He went to the dusty attic to find a table filled with documents and purchase proofs of weapons, jackpot.
He gathered it all up, turning around to see a gun barrel pointed at his head. "Foolish soldier, drop them"
Michael complied, and dropped the document. He slowly moves his hands up only for Seattle to call him. "Bait him to that window" He glanced at the open window on the far side of the room
"Look at me" The man demanded and Michael looked at him. "Who are you huh?"
Michael gulped and slowly inch towards the window, slowly but surely. "Just a random soldier," He said calmly and confidently
The man followed him, oblivious to what Michael is doing. "Then why do you seek our documents? Want promotion? Glory?"
He can't believe this is working, he's nearing the sunlight coming through the window. "Leaning more to promotion really, the military's paygrade is not the best"
The man chuckled keeping the gun trained at him. "I agree, maybe xenophilia is making them soft" The man is now by the window, open for the drones to take the shot.
"But I won't be fooled by your tricks" The man aimed outside and shot at one of the drones destroying it effectively. Michael charges forward tackling the gun out from the man's hand.
He avoids a side punched and kicked the man on the knees, gaining a groan of pain as he was knocked down. Michael grabbed his head and kneed him over and over until the man is passed out, knocked out cold on the floor with a big gash on his forehead.
"Grab the documents quick" He grabbed the documents and hopped out the window, tumbling to the ground and climbed up the walls once again, in time for counter-terrorist vans arrived and raid the house.
A weird operation, but he wasn't complaining
Humans are Insane “Insurgency” Part 1
Disclaimer: Blood and violence are in this post, proceed with caution.
So i want to take a turn around and do something serious with Michael, hope this is good and thank you for the number of people that liked and reblogged my previous story, thank you so much
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Being a temporary diplomatic envoy is quite hard, especially when you’re not experienced in speeches and answering questions that are presented to you in which you know nothing about, or know the answer in that matter. After the Migration Meeting being overtaken by another human representative, Michael took the next few days thinking, planning, planning to get his health back on track.
it was shocking to find out that he's suffering from Type-2 Diabetes, not the worst but still taking a toll on his body. High-Blood sugar and Insulin resistance make his body weak, the doctors said it’s from his Liver that keeps cranking out sugar into his system. He doesn’t understand, he’s a fit guy. Maybe moving to the Zarqon homeworld changed his lifestyle a bit, he does sometimes binge-eating while watching a movie, and he rarely exercises now.
Maybe that was the reason, maybe that is the reason his health if going downhill. No matter, right now he's ordered to give a tour to a group of aliens around the city of Ursa Jaron on the agriculture colony at the edge of UTA space, the planet of Dawut. Known for its abundance of fertile land and it's many volcanoes that crank out natural resources that make the land fertile, it's one of the colonies that contributed a lot to the UTA food stockpile and distribution.
This makes the colony rich and more developed over the years, but when the War of Insults started it's one of the worlds that got hit in the first attacks. Garrisons at the time could not repel the Janid onslaught that came and forced to retreat after an evacuation of the civilians. Some people were left behind in the chaos, forced to live in ruins and scavenge for food while trying not to get detected by Janidean patrols.
Rebuilding efforts immediately started after the war, cities getting rebuild, farmlands and greenhouses are built, but it will take years until most of the scars are healed. He sighed, wearing his Tuxedo quite proudly with the UTA emblem on his left upper chest but still, he rather stay home at Zarqon, and with Yaku. He's grown quite attached to the little alien gal, he likes her patients and curiosity of everything. He wished he can answer all of her questions about humans, then again, he's not a genie.
Walking down the hallway inside the Murmur embassy within the city, he walked into the ballroom where all the alien delegates are waiting. He tightens his tie and straighten his suit, and begun his announcement "Gentleman, the UTA appreciates your arrival to our colony here today, as you already know you will be given the best accommodations this colony has" He glances at the single Janid delegate "Because after the war we're short on recreation and landmarks so please excuse our lack of beautiful architecture"
All the delegates nod in acceptance, understanding the situation humanity is going through. "With introductions sorted away, I Michael Stone will be your guide today" He hates being formal, and why does he have to do this and not a professional guide? Could it be that his title of "Being the first human to migrate" gave him a special place in the UTA?
He turned around and walked out of the room, a group of aliens following closely behind him passing the embassy guards and several Murumur guards that are here. He smiled and shook his head, he cannot believe this. Walking out of the assembly he quickly shows off the things in front of them, a big commercial mall. Unfortunately, a UTA Warbird swooped down from the skies dropping off it's the payload of Humanoid Machines that quickly enters the mall before Michael could explain to them. "Well, that wasn't on the schedule..." He pondered to himself, then went back to the delegates.
"This is the Yukatan Commercial Center! One of the largest shopping centers we currently have in the city. With over 20.000 shops and 7 stories tall, it has everything you need starting from kitchen appliances, electronics, food, and everything else" He turned back around and noticed the unusually high presence of police cruisers and police officers in the area, there's even a SWAT van down the street with its squad of heavily-armed and exosuit wearing men. He got a bad feeling about this.
His feeling was proven when he got a call from the Central Chief of Migration. "Michael gets out of there that area is not saf-" the transmission was cut when there's an explosion on the 4th floor of the mall, the alien shopping floor to be exact that sell alien goods and food. Michael turned back to the delegates as glass falls and shatters onto the street. "I need all of you to return to the embassy right away! NOW!" His command startled everyone, even the Janids who haven't seen a human yell that loudly.
Then on the speakers of the city a man can be heard, talking through it. "All civilians please clear sector 2 and 3. Police lockdown has been initiated over at the area please evacuate" That's when panic kicks in, all the bystanders starts running away, it only gets worse when there are loud gunshots can be heard from within the mall, adding screaming into the chaos. The shooting moved from the fourth floor to the third, to the second and then a police android gets kicked out the window and fell to the ground. The SWAT team that's here quickly set up barricades and cover on the main entrance, as the side entrances are locked down.
The alien delegates, instead of returning to the embassy, they observe from a safe distance. Who could've done this? Michael walked to one of the officers. "What's the situation here?"
"We got reports shots fired on the fourth floor from one of the androids, possible terrorist attack" The officer quickly explained as more police reinforcements arrived.
Michael took cover behind one of the back cruisers, away from the entrance with a police officer as he took out his own handgun. "Well fuck, everything we try to approach the aliens peacefully someone has to fuck that up huh?" He exchanged a couple words with the police officer.
"Haha! Always the case sir!" The man answered back with a cheery tone
Michael looked over the hood, feeling the intensity of the situation in the air. The SWAT team trained their weapons towards the entrance. "AST! EVACUATE THE AREA NO-" The SWAT officer yelled out but t was too late, a rocket got shot out from within the entrance straight into the crowd of policemen. Men flying and a police cruiser exploded.
The ground shook making Michael widened his eyes from shock and held the bumper of the cruiser, a police officer crashed onto the ground in front of him. He gets the injured man into cover behind the cruiser as he heard the shooting starts. "An AST!? How the fuck did they get that!?" The man that's tending to the injured one exclaimed.
"Hey, what's your name?" Michael asked the officer.
"J-Jacob sir!"
He nodded as he peeked out from again, a single massive Armored Suit Transport standing in the crowd of bodies scanning the area for prey. Not even a Warbird dared to enter its Killzone. It's M4 Mini Under-Hand Rocket Launcher can take out an attack helicopter in one hit. Then it's S.W.A.R.M.S missiles can lock-on to infantry and obliterate their ranks.
He then noticed on a corpse of a police officer is a S.M.A.W Launcher, it can incapacitate it. Ugh, he wished for an emp grenade right about now.
Michael looked back at Jacob. "Ok Jacob here's the plan, the AST has a manual ejection lever on the back, between the spine and hip armor okay? What I want you to do is go around it, while i cause a distraction with that smaw launcher alright? Time to be a hero" Michael said to the police officer patting his shoulder
"A-are you sure about this sir? I-i'm just a police officer"
"I don't care about ranks Jacob, men are men, now are you ready? We can't let that thing go on a rampage for 5 minutes until the military comes to deal with it"
Jacob took a few seconds to think, finishing treating the injured police officer and then nodded. "...I'm ready" Michael grins and pats his shoulder once more. Both of them takes their position.
"On my signal... now!" Michael got out from behind the cruiser sprinting for the next, the AST quickly took notice of Michael and starts raining hell down on him, firing it's Vulcan Minigun on its right hand at Michael. Close calls but Michael made it to the next cruiser, but the AST doesn't give up, it kept firing and firing at the cruiser but doesn't want to waste a rocket on one guy.
Meanwhile, Jacob is sneaking around on the side while the AST is distracted, hiding behind a cruiser then moved slowly towards the van as the sounds of repeated gunfire can be heard.
The Minigun finally overheats and Michael makes his next quick move, running out of his cover and slide towards the Smaw launcher picking it up in his hands, and then hid behind another cruiser. The AST, seeing it's in danger goes back to firing at Michael while closing the gap, walking towards Michael's position. "Come on Jacob... pull it..." Michael muttered.
Jacob slowly, sneaked up behind the AST, seeing the manual ejection lever between the armor of the suit. He reached into it and pulled as hard as he can, falling back on his ass. "Attempted Manual ejection procedure detected, failsafe activated," The suit said. Jacob looked on in horror at the giant AST, turning around, looking down at the puny little police officer with anger, lifting its right hand up ready to squish the poor man with its fist.
"JACOB COVER YOUR EARS" Heard from behind the AST as a series of launchers went out of the Smaw launchers first shooting up at the sky, then rained down on the AST explosion after explosion of the mini-missiles. After the missiles finished, the AST fell weakly onto its knees, then forwards onto the ground. "Fucking hell..." Michael cursed throwing the empty smaw launcher to the side and rushed over to see if Jacob is okay. That attempt was denied when a bullet hit the ground in front of him coming from the entrance of the mall.
Three men wearing spray-painted exosuits came out from the darkness, pointing their weapons at Michael. He held his hands up. "Who the fuck are you guys...?"
The one in front answered that question with a punch to the face, blood splattering onto the ground as Michael fell to his hands and knees coughing up blood. A gunshot shortly followed as a hand fell and came into his view, it was Jacob's. "Humanity's Front" the man then finally answered his question correctly in a deep, heavily modified voice.
Then one of the men's head exploded then followed by a bang, the other followed the same fate, then the last one as well. UTA snipers have come and saved the day as jeeps and APCs arrived on the scene. He looked up, at Jacob's dead body, eyes wide open with fear and shock, blood flowing down from the side of his head to his face.
Michael couldn't stop them.

Humans Are Weird “Passing Out”
Hello again guys! Here’s another fun thing I just thought about in class, I don’t think this has been written before so hope you enjoy and uh sorry for the quite shitty English
        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Michael is both proud and regretting accepting this offer, being invited to a GA meeting for Intergalactic Migration is something he thought he'd never be able to attend. He had to catch a shuttle at 5 in the morning that would transport him to the GA headquarters in the Murumu homeworld, a species of bird-like mammals. Their fur is black and white and they can grow up to around 5-6 feet tall. They have a beak for eating small nuts and fruits, and because their nature is flying and vegetarian, they have two strong eagle wings, able to make them fly in the air for long periods
He's personally chosen by the Minister of Immigration of the UTA as a representative in the meeting since he's the first human, species even to migrate to another planet that's under control of a different government.
Of course following the tight morning schedule, and waking up later than usual, he had no time to eat breakfast or even have a small snack, since there's none in the shuttle. So he's on his way to a GA meeting with an empty stomach, and his trusty Zarqonian guide that's always by his side, Yaku Latatarun
He could feel his stomach rumbling, begging for food to support his body, but the Murumu pilot said there's no food on the ship. He sighed deeply and could only hope for food or a buffet when they arrive later. He glanced at Yaku, looking fine and dandy as usual, he then strikes a conversation. "Hey Yaku... you've eaten yet?" He asked
Yaku looked up at the Human, forming a sort of smile. It's hard for Zarqonians to smile due to their horizontal locked jaw, but she tried her best. "Yes sir Michael, I have eaten food 6 cycles ago" If he heard that right, and his math doesn't fail, she ate breakfast at 3 AM in the morning, and it's 6AM
He stared on in disbelief, breakfast at 3 in the morning? He did sometimes get midnight snacks when he's busy researching stuff on his Computer but not a full-on heavy breakfast, usually just instant cup noodles or leftover Zarqonian-made pizza whose taste is not bad, but still unsatisfying to him. "O-oh... that's quite early for a breakfast Yaku"
"It's our normal eating period sir Michael, we've always been eating at 6-morning cycles" That just blows his mind, he just shook his head and nods to her explanation, then sighed again. "Damn..." He doesn't want to tell Yaku about not eating breakfast, he doesn't want to worry her.
But Yaku had noticed the human's strange behavior and decides to confront him with it. "What's wrong sir Michael?"
"N-nothing... nothing Yaku" He answered still attempting to hide the fact he didn't eat breakfast, but it was too obvious by his scrunched up face and rumbling stomach
Yaku wanted to continue, she's starting to get worried but from her previous experiences, when a human says no, it means no. And if he says nothing, then it's probably nothing. So she kept silent and sat in her comfy seat.
The intercom becomes online and the Murumu pilot talks. "Passengers please strap into your seat, we are about to warp" From the callout the two passengers put on the strap around their bodies, essentially gluing their bodies to the seat. "Entering warp in 3, 2, 1"
The ship began to warp and constrict, bending space and time around it as they open an artificial portal, and travel through it. For first-timers, the experience is sickening and shocking, but to Michael, it's just another Tuesday. In 5 seconds the ship went out of warp and glancing out the window, they can see the beautiful tropical homeworld of the Murumurs, Corta.
Neither of them talked with each other as the ship break through the atmosphere and landed on a pad, they took off their straps, as he fixes his tie and pat down his Tuxedo. 2000 years and it’s still a popular formal attire. He stood up accompanied by Yaku as the doors and a ramp extends out for them. Stepping out into the sunlight, they are now in a completely new environment. Unlike the Zarqonians, Murumur architecture uses hexagonal building blocks for their skyscrapers, making a satisfying pattern of hexagons, like a beehive.
Their buildings also climb up towards the sky, and he smells the wonderful air letting out a sigh and form a smile, at least that’s enough to keep his mind off his hungry stomach. Only taking a few steps forward they are met by the GA escorts, three Murumurs, all dressed in modest yellow and white robes. Without many talking, they get escorted to the GA headquarters
Entering the massive building that is the GA headquarters, he’s reminded of his empty stomach as it growl and rumble. He’s starving but doesn’t know how to approach the escorts to ask for food or where the buffet is. There’s gotta be a buffet somewhere, there has to be!
But instead, they are led straight to the meeting room. Pressing a button the door slid open with a hydraulic hiss, and they step aside. The pair enters the wide meeting room, looking around and notices every other species is here. Thankfully they’re not late for the meeting, it hasn’t even started. Taking a seat on their reserved chairs, Michael began to sweat, gulping as he felt his stomach rumble once again.
He looked around and noticed how many aliens there are in the room, there’s the Janids, Zarqons, Murumurs, Likoti. A species of green snakes that evolved arms on the side of their slithering body. He continues to look around the room to see if there’s a table of food anywhere, none.  He turned back towards the podium, then the table in front of him, not even a cup of water.
Before he could go out on a treasure hunt for food, the president of the GA stepped up to the podium, a Murumur of course, it was their idea for a Galactic Assembly that unites all the race in the universe. Then the meeting starts.
He’s been sitting here for TWO hours, his face looked pale trying to stay strong in the meeting and hear everything. The last two hours are filled with speeches and the species' opinion on immigration, and he also got a text from the General Secretary for when it’s Michael’s turn to go up.
He glanced at Yaku that’s sitting beside him, she’s looking on towards the podium focused and doesn’t want to be interrupted. “Michael Stone of the UTA” The announcer called for him and he stood up, and everyone else looked up at him. There it is, the predator that defeated the Janids in the war.
Michael took a deep breath and tries to ignore his stomach’s cries for food, but his body cannot. He feels weak, his stomach aching. He walked up to the podium with the script on his holophone. Setting his holophone and hold one end of the lectern, he started his speech although with difficulty. No one else in the room seemed to notice except for Yaku, his voice sounded strained, and his face is unusually white.
Half an hour in and he’s halfway into the speech, he suddenly stopped in the middle of a word, panting, his eyes bouncing all around the room as he looked down holding his temples with his finger and thumb. “Is something wrong Michael Stone?” The announcer asked without a tone of worry.
He looked back up, his face is a sweaty mess as he swallowed and shook his head. He covered his eyes with her hand to block the lights around the room “Nothing... nothing is wrong...” He looked down at his Holophone, opening his mouth to talk again, and then he fell to the floor.
The crowd gasped in shock as the 6-foot tall predator just flopped to the floor without any reason at all. Yaku being the one more familiar with the human immediately left her seat and ran up to the podium, kneeling down with her tentacles holding the human’s cheeks in her hands. “Call for a human doctor!” She cried out as some of the delegates rushes out of the room in search of a human medic, meanwhile, the ones inside are in shock, sat silently in their seat staring at the unconscious human.
It’s not normal to go unconscious without reason, there has to be a reason. Is it a disease? Either way, everyone in the room is confused and speechless.
A few moments later a human medic from their military arrived in the meeting room, kneeling beside Michael and motioned Yaku to step away, but she won’t leave him, she won’t leave his side. Watched by 20 aliens in the room, the medic began checking Michael’s condition,  his heartbeat, breathing, temperature. It looks like he might be having a migraine and a fever.
Both from not eating and drinking anything the entire day, and standing for thirty minutes while talking. More human medics arrived bringing a stretcher, and carefully places Michael onto it and brought him into the human medical bay where he rests on a real bed.
All the while Yaku staying by his side, making sure he’s not hurt or anything. And when asking one of the medics, he said that he has a fever. Which translates to  having a temperature above the normal range due to an increase in the human body's temperature set point.
It appears the meeting needs to be pushed to a later date, everyone did learn a valuable lesson though. Humans are fragile and if not maintained well by no feeding it enough or drink water, it could collapse from exhaustion and it’s body’s’ strange behaviors from such deprivation of sustenance and water
Strange, very strange
