Today was my last day of class before finals! Technically, my last last day of class ever! It’s official! I am officially a Certified Law Clerk in California! I’m so excited to begin my journey of representing my clients (with supervision of course). Two years ago, you may recall, I was in a really bad spot. For those who don’t know or vaguely remember me posting vague status updates, my law school’s parent school went through a receivership and we never ended up getting our student loans. 2019 was a really tough year. The constant fear of wondering how we were going to pay our rent or bills was everyday. I was so depressed that I had to get medication just to help me cope. Even with that, dark thoughts ran through my mind almost everyday. Today, I’m in a much better spot and this shows what I overcame to get where I am. I’m so glad I stuck it through.
