Ooof, just made a resolution to not buy any glass/supplies I don't specifically need for something for the next several months...only for someone who is stopping the art to put up their entire stash of glass and supplies up on marketplace for $1000...
do I have that kind of money right now? no. Is that incredibly incredibly cheap for what she has? yes. 😭

Playing around with making some flower stakes- pretty happy with this first one but think going to have to make a trip to the store for a thicker stem.

Outside the irises might be just poking up, but here's one always in bloom!

Tonight's cutting we have the piece on the left which looks like a pain but isn't too bad due to the glass, and then the pieces on the right which look like a pain to cut and ended up even worse due to the glass XD

How about some more Zelda stained glass flowers??
I never know if I should show pieces back lit or front lit.
Still *shocked* that none of the flower petals broke during soldering. 🙏🏻 😮‍💨

My last post about stained glass people really liked so here's some simple pieces I've been working on as well that I finished this morning. They're all done now as you can see on the left.
right picture is me getting ready to solder the piece this morning :)
I can take photos of them in the light as well if anyone's interested in seeing that.

Definitely been there- some of the pieces on my cherry tree I was debating if they were worth cutting or just making them into a thicker solder line XD

The other project last night was sorting through reds trying to find colors that were both the right shade, and had enough glass for all the pieces

This week I got the choosing glass and cutting part of the work! It is so hard to resist all the real pretty and blingy glasses but at 240€/sqm Bullseye is out of my budget. I splurged a bit on those unique pieces of antique glass but even that is "only" 130€/sqm. And I bought two pieces from classmates who had them lying around :D
The plum purple looks almost black without light, and it's going to be the background, the colour of the fan itself. It's Corella glass. The patterned pink, purple and red glasses are going to be the lotus flower. Mostly antique glass but the purple piece is from Armstrong Glass and not from out school storage originally, classmate bought it herself from somewhere else. The lilac solid colour is actually Bullseye but I've had that piece for 2 years so it's not a current purchase and thus I can get away with it~ And then the yellow-orange is Chinese glass and it's going to be the tips of the fan.
