When I made this post just ten days ago, it was about mass graves discovered at Al Shifa hospital and now we have learned that the same had happened at Nasser hospital in Gaza. The same genocidal pattern: a hospital is put under siege, patients and medical staff are abducted, tortured and buried in mass graves.

But to build on the last point I wanted to bring attention to in the previous post, it is very crucial to also keep in mind is that the Palestinian Civil Defence have reported that Israel had deliberately concealed the identities of those it killed and buried in these mass graves. Close to 400 bodies have been buried in these mass graves, 58% of the recovered bodies have not been identified.

In a press conference, a spokesperson of the civil defence in Gaza said that Israel had intentionally disfigured the bodies postmortem in order to remove any identifying markers such as birthmarks. He also mentioned that they suspect that the bodies have been placed in body bags that expedited the decomposition process, destroying any possibility of them being identified.

One of the main and only ways families have been able to identify the bodies of their loved ones is through the clothes they remember them wearing the last time they saw them. I saw a video of a mother identifying her son by his striped jacket. You can see the grief mixed with relief that she will be able to give her son proper burial.

Remember when months ago I said that to be identified and buried in Gaza has become a luxury? This is very much still the case.

Hi I hope you're having a fantastic April so far. Just wondering if Chapter 13 of For the Cameras might be dropping anytime soon? I miss the story so much!

thanks @jellybeanficwriter! i've gotten a few asks wondering about an update for the next chapter and i've been hesitant to post anything for a number of reasons, but mostly bc Alice has been really busy work-wise so i didn't want to put any pressure on her. i feel bad for leaving people hanging, so while i still can't give an ETA on the next chapter, we are still working on it when we can, promise. that said, here's a sneak peek for everybody's who asked, with an apology on the delay and also for kinda ghosting y'all, hope it'll do for the time being ❤

Viserys was in mild disbelief. “Being served wine by the Koll Orinsson. Fucking hell.” Laughing, Jon sat down to Daenerys’ left. “Dany mentioned you were a pretty big fan of the show.” He shot his sister a gimlet-eyed look as she helped herself to the spicy noodles, piling a hefty portion on her plate. “Oh, did she now? What else has she said about me? Because you should know she’s a bloody liar.” She stuck her tongue out at him. “You were begging me to meet him before we’d even started dating!” “And you were adamant I never would but here we are,” he said smugly. “Entirely against my will,” she retorted, but he waved her off before shovelling some beef curry onto his plate. “I called it, though, didn’t I? ‘He isn’t even my boyfriend, maybe he’ll never be,’” he mimicked in a high-pitched voice. “Please!” With a groan, she looked at Jon pleadingly as he sipped his wine. “And this is exactly why I didn’t want him to meet you.” Jon just laughed, taking the opportunity to scoop a little bit of everything onto his plate. “I’m enjoying this, honestly. After all the dirt my Mum’s given you about me, this is a nice change of pace.” It was fun watching a sibling dynamic in person, too. Growing up, this was an experience he had been sorely lacking in. At that delicious morsel, Viserys pounced. “Wait—you’ve talked to his mum?” Daenerys’ eyes went wide, a spring roll frozen halfway to her mouth. “Umm…well, kinda—” Jon didn’t understand her hesitation, at least not right away. But Viserys looked scandalised. “You know what this means, right?” Her face fell even as his lit up with sheer delight. “Once Mum finds out you’ve been talking to Jon’s mum, but she hasn’t even met Jon yet—” “She’s not going to find out as long as you don’t tell her!” Daenerys threatened. He chortled. “Oh, no. You know I don’t have to say anything, she’s just able to intuit these things.” He shook his head and shoved a piece of beef into his mouth with his chopsticks. “She’s going to expect him at Christmas dinner, there’s no getting out of it now.”
