It was 2:15am. You wake up to a large warm body curled up behind you and the sound of whimpering. He shifts his weight from side to side, rocking the both of you. Soft incomprehensible words leave his lips as he cries. He's trying to comfort himself back to sleep. Poor thing. The jerking of his body as he sobbed was unbearable. Your voice was raspy and comforting to the man behind you. He utters something a little louder but breaks down into tears again, the arms around your waist tightening.

You turn slowly and reach for Bubbas cheek. You feel up Bubbas face and trace his tears back to his eyes. You lean in as you wipe his tear away and give him a kiss on the forehead. Though, you missed and kissed his eyebrow. "oops," you say with a smile. Both of you chuckle. His smile doesn't last long though. You caress his soft black hair. You know he liked that. His grip around you grew tighter and he cried into your chest. He was still trying to speak but sobs were overpowering him. "shhhh baby" You wrap your arm around his head and push him closer to you. His hiccups grew quieter... And quieter... There was a comfortable silence. And now he's snoring :) You look at the time, 3:47. You two can talk about this in the morning, its late. You pat the spot next to you, "it's okay, come lay down." You can see he's clearly a little frightened. You decided not to ask about it since he's not in a cooperative state right now. You start to tuck him in one blanket at a time. Small kisses are planted around his mask. he needs to be comfortable, emotionally and physically. As you start to situate yourself next to him he says something quietly, "I had a bad dream" You look back at him, "really?" He nods.

You immediately embrace Brahms in your arms. His heartbeat is fast. He wraps around you back. His sniffing turned into sobs as he cried into the crook of your neck. The mask slips from his face and you put it on the night stand with care. Brahms is still whimpering a little so you stroke his beautiful black curls. Playing with his hair is a quick way to get him to relax. You scratch his scalp, twist a few strands with your finger, Run your fingers through his hair. It makes his nerves calm very quickly. His heartbeat has slowed along with his breathing. Soon he was fast asleep and it was over. "night, Brahms"

You felt the presence of someone getting up from the bed. You heard rustling, Jason probably getting dressed to go out. What for though? You look at your phone, 3:37. Jason probably noticed that you were awake because he walked over to you side of the bed. He tucked you in, trying to get you to go back to sleep. Something was definitely wrong though. Jason was shaking and it was definitely too early for him to be out the house. "You alright, Jay?" He puts his hands out trying to silently reassure you. He turns and tries to leave out your room. Jason always does this. Whenever something is wrong with him he just leaves. Into the forest. You know he doesn't want you to worry, thats why he does it but it makes you worry even more. You grab Jasons sleeve, making him pause in his tracks. "Jason whats wrong? You can talk to me you know?"

You grab the cold hand that was connected to his sleeve. "don't you wanna talk about it?" He sighs. He does, he really does. He walks back over to his side of the bed in defeat. He starts undressing and takes off his shoes. He gets back into bed and hugs you. A very tight hug not that you're complaining. He's starting to shake again. He's crying. Poor baby, he's never cried like this before. His breathing hitched and tears flow out his eyes. He removes his arms from around you and tries to sign but his hands are too shaky and he keeps wiping his tears. He tried to sign the words 'nightmare'. You understood, "You had a nightmare?" He nodded. You remove his hands from his face so he could look at you. You started to wipe his tears with your thumb as you caress his cheek. "You don't need to tell me now Jay, You can tell me later when you're calm or even tomorrow." You smile at him. He was comfortable with that answer it looked. Your hand finds its way to the back of Jasons head and pulls him closer to you. "Lets just focus on going to sleep now babe." He nodded. You could tell he wasn't ready to talk about it just yet so why not just sleep on it. You know Jason isn't one to sleep and you're tired so you might as well go to sleep now. "Goodnight, baby" You gave him a kiss on his cheek. Hopefully he'll still be there when you wake up.
