I appreciate you guys sending in more asks, I promise I’ll get around to them eventually- my creativity has just been focused on some other kinds of aliens lately, and the slowgoing for the shows episode output hasn’t been helping either. But I’ll try to pick up the slack soon, regardless.
Thanks for your patience!

I’m tying to redesign a gem fusion I have. Do you know what a feminine lapis, green sapphire, and masculine (orange) carnelian might make? Would the larger male character overpower the femininity?
Tumblr media
hhhhhhhhooh boy.
Well, focusing on just the gem aspect, what comes to mind first would be Adventurine, Jade, Malachite, Maw Sit Sit, or maybe even Moss Agate
So with that part out of the way, let me explain my logic to the last part of this question, with my answer being that depends.
The fusion very well could be both feminine and masculine, with varying levels of either, or maybe completely androgynous. I’ve touched on scenarios like this with a friend before, and the result is usually heavily dependent on the number/level of feminine vs masculine, the relationship of the gems, and how comfortable they all are with a flex in identity. I got kinda long with this so I’ll put the rest under a read more
I have no idea if you mean the green sapphire is also feminine, or is a neutral/nonfactor in this, but I’m going to say the size of the gem would not determine if one overtakes the other. If you have two feminine gems and one masculine, it might lean on the neutral-feminine side. If you have a feminine, an androgynous, and a masculine, it might all balance out into androgyny.
For example, Lapis Lazuli might be smaller, but if she’s just as or more feminine than carnelian is masculine, that might show in the fusion. Keep in mind, these two things are also not mutually exclusive, they can very well coincide with each other with the right design. So that’s my take on the number
Now as far as the relationship and comfort of identity goes, I have no idea how these gems work together, what their personalities are, etc. We’ve obviously seen what happens when two gems with a no-good relationship fuse, so if any of these gems have problems with one or another, that could create a rift between the identities; same if they’re not comfortable with being viewed as a different identity. How comfortable with masculinity is Lapis? Carnelian with Femininity? Etc?
I’ll give an example based on past fusion designs I’ve helped design; A masculine quartz and a masculine obsidian, would fuse into something also masculine. But if you threw in a really effeminate Beryl, the result had a decent balance of masculine and feminine. On the other hand, if you instead threw in CG amethyst, the result might be more androgynous, or masculine-neutral, because CG amethyst is clearly comfortable with taking on a male identity and masculine appearance, vs Beryl, who was far more comfortable with sticking to her femininity.
TL;DR It depends on the components of the fusion. I honestly have no idea if I’m making any sense, but I hope that helps!

I can't figure out a good gem for a fusion between Amethyst and my gemsona Tiger's Eye. Do you have any suggestions?
Tumblr media
My first thought was Charoite, but Fossil Coral could also be a good option!
I suppose the most difficult part of this is because purple and brown... don’t go together all that well, and rarely show up in the gem world, which makes it difficult for the a + b = a+b mindset. My usual solution for this is to make both colors the same brightness/shade and go with the middle on the color wheel. Orange and Purple? Try redish-pinks! Dark purple and Brown? Maroons seem good.
Under that color logic, things like Spessartine, Red Jasper, Onyx, maybe even Rubelite if you want brighter options.
Hope that helps!

Heya!! May I ask what a fusion between Heliodor and Chrysocolla would be? Much thanks if you can help!
Tumblr media
Oh buddy I love me some Heliodor and Chrysocolla
So given these are both gems with green undertones, and would add up to green anyway with the color a + b = c logic, Chrysoprase would be a good start, or perhaps Chrysoberyl! Not only would they be good color choices, but they’re both closely related to the gemstone components.
Other choices that come to mind would be Variscite and Adventurine, as chrysocolla’s opaque copper structure would leave some variety of shades and texture in any 2-gem fusion

What would be a good fusion between Cherry Topaz and Onyx?
Tumblr media
This greatly varies depending on if you mean Natural Onyx or Black Onyx
Natural Onyx and Cherry Topaz makes me think of Red Agate, Red Jasper, Sunstone, and Imperial Topaz.
Black Onyx and Cherry Topaz makes me think of Rhodonite, Pink Spinel, Or perhaps even Red or Black Star Garnet

Im trying to fuse my Lapis Lazuli and her Champagne pearl. I intend to change the type of pearl if i could come up with a better idea! If you have one, let me know! If not, whats a champagne pearl and lapis lazuli make in your eyes?
Tumblr media
I know this is late, but have you considered Nephrite? It would work for weither you wanted to keep the blue and soft pastels separate, or merge them into green, or both! Nephrite is a gem with lots of color impurities, which can work very well in a design’s favor, especially with a gem like Lapis Lazuli.
Turquoise would be another good option, especially if you like the idea of the light colors of Champagne Pearl lighting up the darker shades of a Lapis. Although if you do want a darker option for the reverse, Pietersite exists!

BOO!
So I revived the main blog, thus discovering this blog again and the rather populated inbox. I know I’m very very late to getting back to you guys and I’m so sorry- I have a few ideas swirling while i wait for the newest episode of b.attle.b.ots, so I’m going to try to get to one or two of them before i disappear for that. I’ll try to clear out a few more afterwards too!
Again, sorry for the vanish! Hopefully I can be active on this again

Sorry for the inactivity guys, I’ve kind of hit a creative dip; meaning I can’t really get myself to do anything or think of anything for this blog and all my rp blogs. It’ll pass, i just need some time is all. I really apologize as I know people are waiting for my inputs! I’ll try to be back soon.
Until then, happy creating!

What do you think a good fusion between opal (Not the cannon one) and pink tourmaline would be? Since they are both the October birthstones, perhaps something to do with Autumn or Halloween? And (disregard this bit if it's too much) what would be a good corrupted form for opal and pink tourmaline?
Hmm, Pink Opal (Known by some as Andes Opal) seems like an obvious choice. But lets delve a bit deeper shall we?
Here is an article that lists a handful of stones that are good for wiccans&pagans to use on Halloween, funny enough that Opal is on that list, but i digress! Out of these, I would recommend Botswana Agate, (Pink) Calcite, or perhaps even, a Petrified Wood?
Corrupted forms are a bit trickier, given I don’t know if there is any sort of pattern to their deciding features, but I will certainly give it a shot!
Opals, in medieval times, were said to ‘make a man invisible whenever he wished’, and was thus called the Patron of Thieves. Metaphysically, it amplifies traits and thoughts- good or bad, so with these two bits of information in mind, perhaps something vaguely humanoid, but with beast-like features accentuated, and the ability to turn invisible much like one we’ve seen before?
As for Pink Tourmaline, a scientist in dutch believed that this stone, when wrapped in silk and placed on a child’s cheek, would induce sleep. In certain parts of the world it is also said to help people wake from a dream of illusion. So perhaps a corrupted Rubelite would take on the appearance what a person fears most in their dreams? Or maybe even something cloud-like, as clouds tend to be associated with dreams and sleep.
Hope this helps!

Hello! Feel free to ignore this if the question ends up being hard to answer. I'm trying to find a good gem for a fusion between a Lapis lazuli and a Harlequin Black Opal. But I was hoping to find a fusion gem for them that would some relation to energy or confidence in any assortment? Like i said you don't have to answer
Tumblr media
This is going to sound odd probably, but bear with me! Consider Bloodstone?
Harlequin Black Opal is an incredibly colorful stone, ontop of Lapis Lazuli having a spotty look to it, It might provide a (non-neon) option for the fusion between the two. Ontop of that, it is recommended for someone to wear bloodstone if they want ”[..] protection against threats or bullying, whether verbal or physical, and for guidance to withdraw when appropriate and the courage to confront when needed. Carry one for strength when adjusting to new circumstances.“ Bloodstone boosts the energy system, increasing energy levels and endurance alike as well~!
A secondary option would be Rainbow Hematite! It kind of screams fusion given how colorful it can be; and on top of appearance, it boost confidence and self worth! It can also help with sleep disorders, which, in turn, could give someone more energy via being well rested.
Hope this helps!

I was wondering if you could do a review of this gem o mine, he’s a lapis. your bio says ’idea/review blog’  but if i misinterpreted the meaning and you don't want to review my gem that's fine!
Tumblr media
I haven’t reviewed anything in such a long time so forgive me if I’m rusty. I didn’t really realize i put that in the description but I’ll still give it a shot! Also apologies if this was late, I have been absent from this account for the most part.
Can I just say I am a sucker for Lapis Lazuli OC’s with gold incorporated in the color-scheme? Now most of them are mainly face/shoulder freckles, but I like your interpretation with how the color would be distributed throughout the gems form! All lapis’s are beautiful and this one is no exception.
The only thing that’s really a head-scratcher, for me, is the pistols. Nothing wrong with the design itself as it very much matches his outfit. It just feels like an odd weapon for a Lazuli, but perhaps that’s maily just because our canon lapis appears to be weaponless in the standard sense. That’s truly my only question mark with what information i’m given.
Lapis Lazuli is a stone tied to Sagittarius, which is the zodiac sign well known for being signified by the bow and arrow. (Its also a fire sign but lets ignore that) Weither or not you tweak that detail is completely up to you! It just feels like a Lapis, being members of Blue Diamond’s court, should have something.. elegant? And a gun, personally, just doesn’t feel elegant. A small crossbow (or two) might work for Lu, if you so chose!
That’s all I can really think of saying with the design + info i’m given, I hope it helped a bit!

Any ideas for a fusion between a Fire Agate and a Blue Zircon?
Tumblr media
*rubs hands together* Lets do this.
If you’re more colorA + colorB = colorC kind of fusion person (I.E, Modern Garnet, Malachite, etc), then green stones like Green Agate, Aventurine, or even Prasiolite seem like good options! Less common optiosn would be Chrysoprase, Variscite, and Gaspéite (Yes, it’s real)
If you’re more for colorA + colorB = colorA+B this goes back to dragon’s breath opal! Though things like Pietersite, Black Opal, and finally Labra-dorite (two links here) seem to be good ones too!

What would be a good outfit for a gem with her gem placed on her lower back? She is a body guard on White Diamond's court.
My immediate thought would be something low back, like this? But perhaps not a dress and something more practical for a body guard, like the quartz/agate bodysuit type of outfit. We already see with the rubies (particularly Doc and Navy) that outfits can vary with how their gem is placed, so a  bodysuit with a low back seems like a good fit.
Another approach would be something halter-top-ish so you have that lower back visible. Maybe even something like this where it has a vague diamond shape in the front?
Hope this helps!

What gem would you recommend for a court jester-role?
Tumblr media
Now that’s an interesting idea!
Crazy Lace Agate is literally called “The Laughter Stone” or “Happy Lace”
Most Stones, on a metaphysical level, calm or ground energies; Which isn’t what a Jester does- So a stone literally known as the Laughter Stone, is probably your best bet! (It’s also be a funny irony considering Agates are supposed to be terrifying, and then there’s Crazy Lace)
Another option is Unakite, which “will lift your spirits when you are feeling down - this is the stone to help you to see the beauty in life.“

Any good ideas for powers and a weapon for a White Opal?
Tumblr media
“White Opal is a stone of angelic connections. It is often used for clearing emotions to create more positive vibrations. It is useful in balancing all chakras. The opal is said to be many things including the most powerful of healing stones, the stone of hope, the stone of great achievement and even the “stone of the Gods”. Ancient Romans associated opal with hope and good luck.“
White opal is also known for having bright flashes of color, I would say the living gem equivalent would be prevalent in controlling light. Which, when you think about it in the world where gem’s bodies are made of light, that could be a lot more useful than one might think if used correctly. Ontop of that, the stone is a good metaphysical healer, so perhaps they could be an elite squad of medic gems; The ones who are supposed to be healers (And since Opals are made from silica, the same material of quartz, it wouldn’t be a far off connection to the one healer we have in-show.)
As for weapon, if we’re going with the healer route, I imagine something meant to protect themselves and fend off enemies from hurt allies; a Crusader sword comes to mind (You can even have the gemshape be the pommel) Or perhaps a crusader style shield with the gem’s allegiance as the symbol? (There’s a theme here can you tell)
Another idea would just be an arm canon or something of the like in order to shoot blasts of light at the enemy (Think Pearl’s spear but all the time)
TLDR; I imagine White Opals would have
Light powers
Healing powers
Some Angelic/Elite theme in general
Crusader sword/shield
Or some light-shooting weapon in general

What would a canon Peridot and Sunstone fuse into?
Tumblr media
I don’t think I’ve ever thought of this, huh. If I had to gander, I would say something in the yellow/orange spectrum, like Heliodor, Amber, or Scapolite? Or perhaps a multicolored Tourmaline that goes in the spectrum of colors.

you cant not have a water elemental aquamarine, lets be real, but do you think other gems would also be elemental outside of the blue range? i want a fire gem but dont know where to start. thankx.
Tumblr media
Oh boy oh boy I love me some elements.
One that comes to mind first and foremost, for some reason, is Opals; Dragon’s breath opal in particular; However, it’s not a natural stone, so personally I would put that aside for a fusion- much like Rainbow Quartz. (But this is just an advice blog, in the end it all comes down to what you want!) If you want more opal, Fire Opal is a very obvious, but still an option, too!
Outside of that, another one is Bixbite, which is a beryl- much like Aquamarine is a light blue beryl. It would definitely fit if we were to make all beryl’s associated with some kind of element. (Heliodor for yellow fire, or perhaps lightning?)
Of course, while red is the most common color, fire is also orange, yellow, white, and at times blue, and pretty much leaves things a charred black. so you pretty much have free range on who your created gem would have been under with homeworld and have bigger flexibility in colorschemes! Other gemstone suggestions I would make would be, Scapolite, Pyrope Garnet, Obsidian (It’s a glass made by LAVA, what more could you ask for?), Imperial Topaz, Sunstone, and finally Andesine
Hope this helped!
