Nah I started reading Drama High by Michael Sokolove which is about a drama teacher at a high school in some town in Pennslyvania. And I was like, ah yes I'm gonna learn about the purpose of theater and the love of it.

and then ended up getting a fucking history lesson about how Common Core royally fucked up the education system and how it destroyed the arts programs in a lot of schools. (which I vaguely knew everyone hated Common Core, and despite growing up during that transition, I never really got why. But NOW? I get it. Fuck common core and no child left behind program. Yeesh.)

10/10 recommend reading the book for not only its depiction of one high schools outstanding theatre program and for the lesson of why common core is ass.

If a worker who isn't the owner says ANYTHING similar to "I'm not really supposed to do this but-" and then does something that helps you, under no circumstances inform the business, including through reviews. #tsc spoilers #okay but he isnt even necessarily correct at least neils had some logic 😭 #because depending on how trained the coach is (and with moriyama its safe to assume pretty trained) #distance will have little to do with how hard you hit #so realistically the best bet is either do neils route #or not worry about distance but also dont try to run from it #(if you try to run your more likely to get hit more not necessarily harder)
