Witch & Lancer IF WIP ROs
These are my current ROs for my current project. They are all witches, their genders chosen by the player (as of now), you are a Lancer. A magic user as well, but one who enhances their martial abilities with magic. (and maybe a dash of shapeshifting) The Raven: Age: 36 (Age gap relationship) Corvids play many roles and wear many masks, this one wears the mask of the unfortunate and plays the role of the grieving, whilst they out to be a celebrant they instead weep for the opportunities they lost. They finally have what they want, the Bond they’ve dreamed of but, was it worth it? It’s for both of you to decide. The Shrike: Age: 28 years old Red Flag Relationship. A product of violence, the Shrike learned that sometimes to survive brutality is all but necessary. Their magic is violent and aggressive. They will protect the one they love with extreme cruelty. And they will love you, can you stomach what they’re willing to do for you? Can you accept their gory gifts? The Dove: Age: 25 years old The calling of the fatebound is often a violent one, yet this one seems more interested in healing and enhancing, but they are not of the squeamish sort clearly, but the question is why someone so soft spoken, of such a healing disposition want to become a battlemage? What called them to you and you them? The Peregrine: Age: 29 years old Of an old house, duty calls them, honour and steel should have been their calling but they took oaths and magicks, their eyes hold a certainty in them, they can envision a future, with you in it. They can envision a future where perhaps their clan accepts their choices, they envision a future, where they succeed. Is it certainty or in fact folly?

Extra idea: the shape you get isn't at all related to the last person who held the name but what would be best for you, also the Fae is known to trick evildoer and bigots into giving their names to it.
idea: a Fae who specifically trades in names for trans people, you give your name and you get a name that work for your identify for free, funnily enough getting the new name also changes your shape as well.

You know what the MC will be trans no matter what. and if people don't like that then they can simply not read it. For the people who aren't trans and who read it then I hope they can get an interesting perspective.

I know it’s not hard to point out reactionaries hypocrisy when it comes to like safe spaces or hug boxes or whatever but genuinely how much of an echo chamber do you have to exist in for you to think this is a reasonable thing to say

I've gotten rusty at worldbuilding because I used to be so good at just making up names on the spot and now it's just so hard lol. What is this!

Bethesda, eh?
The biggest critique I have of Bethesda is that they are absolutely terrified of locking players off from content. They want to have players to have access to all content at all times and this manifests in several ways: NPCs will level with you, so that means all portions of the map are equally accessible. This also means that fundamentally, you aren't really rewarded by levelling, When you level up, enemies level up with you. You can join all factions (though in certain circumstances you could be locked out of some, like in Fallout 4 where you had to make a choice after a certain point), which means every playthrough will probably feel the same. Bethesda will give you choices but those choices fundamentally have no meaning because they have no consequences. Choice 1, 2 and 3, are only different in terms of aesthetic and flavor, but in terms of substance? Nil. It's also weird because in some ways they do limit players but only in the most boring ways possible. (IE removing spells from earlier games) People remember Morrowing as a game where you can do everything, especially when it came to its magic/alchemy system where you could theoretically jump from Vvardenfell to Solstheim. But at the same time it restricted you, only one great house, and certain choices can lock you out of factions. If you became a vampire you'd be locked out of most content until you were cured of your vampirism tho you could join one of three vampire clans. Evidently the lesson here shouldn't be that restrictions are good, but that they also aren't inherently bad, and that consequences are important when players are given choice. That's why I'm just not interested in the next Elder Scrolls, that's why I almost definitely will not play the next Fallout (assuming civilization is still a thing ya know?) I like video games, but from my perspective a video game as a piece of interactive media should react to you, and that's not what Bethesda games do. They feel like theme parks. And in a sense. That's all they are. Nothing wrong with that. But I don't like theme parks, and as such I need not apply.

I fell into a weird rabbit hole after I noticed that healthline is using a long discredited form of pseudoscience known as somatotyping. Instead of using it for psychology however it's using it to describe "types" of metabolism.
As a general rule of thumb you cannot just separate humanity into clear distinct groups. The genes that effects our size, build, bone size/density, fat distribution, muscle distribution and so on are myriad and complicated. There's just too much variation to create three broad categories. Anyway here are some of the articles that are spreading this garbage: https://www.healthline.com/health/what-is-a-metabolism-test-and-can-you-use-it-for-weight-loss-and-fitness https://www.healthline.com/health/mesomorph-body-type-diet https://www.healthline.com/health/food-nutrition/endomorph-diet I don't understand why pseudoscientific garbage like this just won't die. People have also brought back the racist and discriminatory practice of physiognomy under the name of "Face Reading". Anyway this makes me want to check out the credentials of all the people who wrote and reviewed this information because good fucking lord.

No one listened to me when I said that the Vatican's "changed perspective" was just a token one, no one listened when I talked about Pope Francis continued exorsexism, will people listen now that they have finally showed their hand? They're literally saying that the treatments that are keeping me alive are an attack on my human dignity. The Vatican has and always will be an imperialistic and colonial institution. There is no reforming it. This IS THE VATICAN.

Can people like stop calling bigots/conservatives mentally ill? Can y'all stop dehumanizing mentally ill people? just for like one fucking second? Is it really so hard to have any amount of empathy?
if i have to see another liberal say that transphobia or homophobia are mental illnesses i'll lose my mind. Why should i be tossed in the same category as the people oppressing people like me?

It's really frustrating having to re-explain to people that no actually everyone's bodily autonomy should be respected. The second you make it acceptable to strip one group of people of their bodily autonomy it becomes possible if not probable that many other groups will become endangered as well. Yes that includes people you don't like.

being trans is exhausting because having to deal with people who absolutely refuse to deal with facts or research and somehow still come around calling you the crazy one is just so surreal. witnessed a person telling someone who argued in favour of trans affirming care for trans youths that they clearly "don't care about trans kids". For advocating for them? For saying they should have bodily autonomy? At what point will people realise that none should suffer for their discomfort? Why are their emotions more important than my health and safety?

The way some cis people talk about trans people and non-binary people as completely different things always makes me very suspicious of them and once again that suspicion seems to have held true. in my experience cis women who act like that tend to treat AFAB non-binary people as "woman-lite" and trans people as "fake". (and AMAB non-binary folk as non-existent or liars)
