First, I would like to give a round of applause to all the amazing content creators out there who are a part of this fandom. Seriously, you guys rock. I have come across so many talented writers and artists, and it never ceases to amaze me just how strong this group is even fifteen years later.
If you would like to recommend a fic to be added, there are a few simple rules:
It must be someone else's work that you read and recommend that other people read.
The work should have minimal spelling and grammatical errors.
I don't have time to read every submission, and frankly, some won't interest me. So please include the appropriate tags so I know where to put them on the list. Include when it takes place and any possible trigger warnings. And please include if it contains smut or not.
If you want to be super helpful, just format it just the same way I do. Seriously. Then I can just copy and paste it and it gets a way better chance of making it on the list. Here is the template:
Title by Author
Rating Word Count Completion Status and Year
Copy and paste the description
Trigger Warnings: Add warnings here
List when it takes place, which categories it fits, and if there is smut
A couple of other things:
I tried to separate out fics with smut so that people can avoid it if they so desire. But it has been a while since I read a lot of these works, so there may be a mistake. If you find one, let me know so I can correct it.
Same goes with anything else that is mislabeled. (I'm sorry guys, it was a pain in the @$$ to tag over 100 fanfics, have mercy)
If you are here to give me hate for enjoying this fandom I have bad news for you: I'm going to ignore you, because I just don't care. Especially because if you still decide to send hate, I'm going to assume you just can't read.
“There’s so much blue that I’m always feeling like I’m drowning”
After 17 years, blue was his least favorite color. Everything he wore, everything he ate, everywhere he looked… Blue, blue, blue. It annoyed him to no end!
“But I guess torture is the point.”
And it was. Just a way to show how wonderful it was to find your soulmate.
i saw these done for other artists and wanted to make one for marina. like the fine print at the bottom says, this is just my opinion, and ik not all of marina’s songs are here. if you’re just getting into marina maybe this could help you find your way around her discography!
note : this is a canon divergent au, the ages have been altered for the plot … kinda. this isn’t the happiest way to start ship week, but this’ll probably be the most canon one.
She’s fifteen.
She kisses Hort in an empty balcony overlooking the lake, under the splotchy grey sky of the rainy day to come, and it’s—
It’s magical.
He tastes like peppermint and chocolates, and her heart hums a Christmas tune. She can feel the outline of his shoulders beneath his thin t-shirt. There’s a bit of teeth clacking and their inexperienced hands confused on where to rest, but he pulls away and asks where she feels comfortable. She drags his hands to her waist, and she moves her own hands to his hair. It wasn’t her first kiss, but it was the first one that mattered.
“Wow,” she says softly, afterwards, when they’ve each taken a step back. “This isn’t some spur of the moment thing right?”
He glances away, down towards the hallway, and then shakes his head. A dark pink blush stains his cheeks.
“No, this is very a thought out thing,” Hort whispers. “Honestly.”
She nods. “I believe you.”
And she pushes the warning bells in her head and leans in again.
Okay this is just the start of the pilot I am working on. The drabble at the beginning is to give you an idea of what’s in my head, but that’s really in the directors hands. Don’t have a name for my character and iffy on the title of the show, but I have some ideas. Let me know what you think, if it sounds like an intriguing first scene, if it would make you want to watch more, etc.
Fade in, open with shot of plane over sky at night, little girl with her father looking down at city lights as voice over begins, images change to little girl witnessing crime and arguments on dirty city streets, holding on to father scared, then scenes of small town moments begin (ladies jogging, couple drinking coffee, kids at school, families in their homes, cars passing by, etc). Changes from day to night to day to night (to symbolize days passing) all as monologue continues, everything sped up slightly. Narrator is the voice of a 16 year old girl, not seen.
Narrator (voice over only, not seen):
Do you remember your first time on a plane? Do you remember looking out the window down over a city and staring in absolute awe at how beautiful and perfectly placed everything was? The clouds, the lights, the seemingly unbelievably precise layout of the streets and avenues? The mere idea of landing there started to give you butterflies as you anxiously anticipated all the whimsical possibilities that waited for you? But then you began to eventually descend, and with every minute that passed, that same city started to change shape? What once looked perfectly crafted started looking kind of, well… messy? Garbage on the streets, homeless drunks begging for cash, a couple screaming at each other in the street, a liquor store getting robbed around the corner. You began to wonder how this could even be the same place that once looked so beautiful to you to begin with. All of a sudden the magic is gone, and you are desperately wishing you could book the next flight outta there, take yourself back up to the skies, where it all felt pure and filled with endless possibilities. But you couldn’t-it was too late. You’d already taken a closer look. It was almost like squeezing toothpaste out of the tube too hard- impossible to ever get that blissful innocense back again.
Well, that’s kind of how my town is.
:Beat:
That’s kind of how my story goes.
This town, my life, it all must look pretty damn great to the everyday outsider, must be the envy of every poor soul not lucky enough to have a place on the inside. You drive through, sneaking glances at picture perfect families living peacefully together in exactly one square mile of uniformed wealth and prosperity.
But that’s just like flying high. You didn’t get a close enough look.
Cause when you do? When you descend a little deeper into these invisible town lines?
What you see is nothing short of a total and complete mess.
I’m talking nuclear, people.
And I’m right at the center of all of it.
:Sigh: :Beat:
Beam me up, Scotty.
