hey there valentine 💫✨

i was wondering if you had some texts/recommendations that might be worthwhile to read on the topic of lucifer. i'm having trouble finding sources that are not exclusive to the christianized pov of lucifer as satan/the devil, and i was wondering if you had anything to share. no worries if not!

unfortunately, no. in my working with lucifer, i asked where i should start looking to better understand him — as i had done when i started working with eros & hermes. i simply started reading their histories. but i was told that i should start first with simply working with him. if i didn't find what i felt i needed using only what i learned from him, i could go in search of texts.

my caveat is that i do view lucifer as a figure that has had his identities taken and wrought for him. he was once a star and then an angel and then the king of lies. to me, his identity is flux, he is all these things and could also do away with all of them. and the way he comes to you will be incredibly different to how he came to me. the christianization of him is very much part of his identity as he comes to me because i identify with being given a christian identity and told to simply accept what it is. even if it was lie. even if it was just what others wanted for me. the lucifer that broke free of that helped me break free as well. ( which is why i believe i was told to work with him first and then go searching if i felt the need. had i separated it first, i wouldn't have found that healing. )

the lucifer that i worship is a being that went from god to damned, from good to evil, and because of that he holds his power in the in-betweens. the morning and evening, 'good' and 'evil, he is the gray where black and white mix. he is someone that encompasses all of these things and can exist outside of them. i really don't think i could have found that in a book. needless to say, i haven't really gone searching for him in books because of that. ( & i can go into more what i've done with him, if you would be interested. )

i, however, was also raised that lucifer is the devil — but in my few workings with satan / the devil, their energies are not the same at all. ( which, i can speak on if you'd like me to as well. )

that said, i have made attempts to look for things when i was gathering information to start working with lucifer! here is a text post! & here is a blog post done made by @czortofbaldmountain that includes histories, poetry, and more! i have gotten a few of these books but i've not read them to truly give you a recommendation. ( the origin of satan by elaine pagels is one that i personally think you should tackle. )

aphrodite and the erotes are the biggest trans advocates you will ever meet

🦢 — hymenaios sings of your love, holding his torch aloft to light your way. his voice blocks out the darkness and tells you to place one foot in front of the other & should you wish it, he will delight in your marriage — for he knows that you are worthy of love. you will be loved.

❤️‍🔥 — pothos sees the longing in your heart, the wishful ache to be loved and he wraps his wings around you and tells you of love. tells of how you will be known, how you will be desired, how you will be loved. and oh, you will be loved. 

🐚 — and their beautiful mother, aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love who is adored by her children, looks at you and your transness and smiles. oh, she delights! for as eros shoots his arrow, she waits for you to see her. as anteros giggles, she is the smile in your cheeks. as hermaphroditus guides your hands to transformation, she cannot wait to meet you truly. as hedylogos wraps his tongue around barbed words, she fashions roses for you. as hymenaois sings, she dances and delights. as pothos speaks of your love & desire, she wraps her arms around you and holds  you just the same. for she has a name, too, that describes her as him, a god of beauty and love. she, oh, this lovely goddess who holds the world enthralled with her beauty, she sees you and she knows you and oh, beloved, you are loved.

I said I was going to get started that day but then my business, schedule, and personal life decided to crunch several months worth of stuff into like a week. Writing these has been on my mind, please don't worry! These are coming! It's actually been rather nice because I've been talking a lot with my gods concerning what all has been happening and making notes / things to pay attention to. It's all good stuff ( I hope. )

On that note, I'll be making little prayer booklets ( Something I've been wanting to do for a while ) for the erotes that'll be done ... soonish. I'll post a few of the prayers but the entire booklet will be for sale with about 10-ish prayers and some personal art!

I just wanted to keep you all updated! I haven't forgotten, I've just been stuck in a (O _ O) shut down mode as things have been happening.

I know I don't have a very ~big~ reach or following but would anyone be interested in some how-to articles like how to do trance work, how to talk to the divine ( and know if they're talking back), how to tell the difference between not real and real ( coming from someone who struggles with dpdr), or things like that?

a spell that helps bring new friends into my life? i am rather isolated (physically) which means that i am also rather lonely. due to work and gas, i can't really go out and just meet people plus i tend to have a resting do-not-bother-me face despite how hard i try otherwise. i'd just like to make some friends, the world is hard enough as it is alone.

Create a poppet. Tutorials can be found easily online.

Create this poppet to be yourself. Think carefully about the kind of relationships you do want. What is your ideal form of friendship at this time in your life? Is it digital, physical? Someone who can travel to see you?

Create the poppet to be one particularly aligned to reception of relationships, friendships, and communication. Build it and let it rest.

While it is resting after its birth, slowly create charms for it. Create charms to attract what sort of relationships you desire. Make these charms as pieces of paper with writing, oven-bake clay, strange twig dollies, wishes braided into cord, or out of anything you desire.

Decorate your poppet with these charms as you make them. Do not add more than one or so a week; it is best to let the magic develop and mature. This helps avoid complications.

Each time you add a charm, feed the poppet. Also feed it at least once between adding charms. Perform a fair amount of divination on how the poppet feels about the charms. It will tell you if you are trying to attract something which is currently impossible or painful.

Other sorts of magics may resolve such blockages. For this spell, remove charms which the poppet advises against. Feed it twice a month. Give it a special reward whenever a new friend is obtained.
