You are allowed to send antagonizing anons about my muse

(i was gonna put this on my rp blog last night, but i decided to make it a post on here so anyone else who likes antagonistic anons can reblog it as well without borking my notifs)

people are allowed to send anons about what goes on on my blog and the circle of blogs that interact with me, this includes trying to get under my muses skin or tell them the hard truths about what is happening, or even about their fellow friends and enemies!

berate them for putting up with something dumb, point out flaws in someone's story, mention how something they believe is not the truth, do it, have fun!

just be sure that the antagonistic anon you sent is directed at the muse, not the mun, and make sure to read the rules of the blog you wish to send anons to, some antagonizing might be seen as godmodding and will go unanswered or blocked.

Dante squealed happily and took up a muffin - somewhat cautiously - and began to nibble away at it.

Ida smiled at the hand kiss and gently returned one across the back of Theo’s knuckles in turn. When prompted, she took a muffin.

“We’re both so happy to be here - and of course we’d love to join you! We’re always so overjoyed to see you.���

Dante nodded and whispered a soft, “Love dadda.” Before he timidly continued nibbling his muffin.

A card is finally brought to Theo, decorated in line with the fall season, given by Ida’s paw directly.

She had a long walk around that day delivering little cards to various muds - though most of them not given personally.

But for Theo, she was sure it were face to face. It read:

“Theo, I look forward to many many more of these celebrations with you and your family. I hope you enjoy plumpkinbread muffins.”

Once Theo read the card, Ida looked down at Dante and gave him an encouraging nod. The mudling lifted up a small bread basket - filled with about six of these muffins - up to the shaman.

*Big Face greeted Ida and Dante lovingly. Giving Ida a kiss on her hand as a formal greeting. When Dante presented the muffins, the shaman gently lifted Dante up into his arms and offered the child one of the muffins within. Big Face also offered one for Ida.*

“I’m glad you both made it here safely. Would you care to join me? Good food is wonderful but I always thought it’s best shared with those you love dearly.”

Ida got back a card from Elli and grinned as she read it.

“This is going right up on the mantle.”

Ida sends Elli a card, themed and decorated around the upcoming Festival.

“May every root you lay down grow strong and deep.”

*Elli receives the card Ida had sent her. She smiles as she reads the card and places it into a safe place within her room. Some place where she can admire it, out in the open. She then takes a moment to make a card by hand and writes an inscription addressed to Ida. She sends the card by bird."

"May the spirits bless your harvests, and your endeavors."

Ida sends a small card over to Sam, made of recycled paper and pressed flower petals. It seems to be themed around the Festival coming up soon.

“May your life be full of warmth and bountiful in love.”

*Sam looked all around for any signs of the person that had the letter delivered to her. She takes a moment to inspect the card, showing great interest in the care and craft. She opened the card and read the inscription. She smiled warmly to herself after she finished reading.*

"Whoever sent this card to me, I hope yours is filled with the same warmth and love as mine."

Oddworld Inhabitants posted this as well as a blank base for Abe's hand tattoos over on twitter.

As someone who struggles to find some decent references for Abe's tattoos even when taking screencaps from the soulstorm game, this was a nice gift.

A gift I will be sharing with those who do not frequent twitter.

These are the tattoos he obtained from the Scrabania and Paramonia trials. The ones that allowed him to harness the shrykull in New n Tasty/Oddysee.

still kinda chuckling that Abe's skin shade is much more vibrant on his playable model compared to the cutscenes.

Also my god the amount of scars and surgical ones on this poor guy's hands.

My part of the Oddworld Festive flashmob from OWI. Couldn’t ignore the invitation to it so I did this in a very short period of time.

Haven’t experienced the christmas mood and had hot chocolate in ages, but at least let that Abe guy have some, he deserved it.

Oddworld Fan Lore: Erebosa

The daughter of Noddaba and Astara. Erebosa is the current Brood Mother of the shadow spirits of The Lands of Decay. She uses her shadowy silk to craft new shadow spirits that serve Afareet as the guardians of the land and keepers of the spirits facing trial. betrothed to Lebone since she was very young.

When her mother was murdered and her father fell into corruption, she was then raised solely by Afareet. They say Erebosa was not adjusting well to Mother Odd’s Garden. For her safety and good health, Afareet raised her by himself in his realm.

When she came of age, she was sent to fulfill her role as the brood mother of shadow spirits. A role her mother before her once served. Her shadow spirits are born into adulthood, and she does not see them as her children. Only her servants and her soldiers. Many of her soldiers are more in favor of the corrupt Noddaba’s rule. Any that were caught betraying their brood mother would be sent to face her. Those that could not be educated were consumed by Erebosa’s voracious appetite.

Lebone would bring his brother, Seraphim, to visit her often. Erebosa was quite attached to the little angelic spirit. Lebone and Erebosa were deeply in love, and Lebone would often bring her food and sweets from his visits to Oddworld. Legend says that Lebone and Seraphim were of the very few that Erebosa was known to share her food with. If she shares food with you, it is a sign of great trust and friendship.

When her betrothment with Lebone was broken, Erebosa did not realize her betrothed had become corrupted. She wept greatly when Seraphim died and Lebone banished from the pantheon. One day, Lebone returned to the Lands of Decay and sought her out. Lebone wept in her arms. He told her how his family betrayed him. She grew enraged at them all. She willingly accepted Lebone’s request to help with the corruption of Umbriel. Only to be betrayed by the one she still loved. She was cast back into the Lands of Decay and forgotten. The constant betrayals of her loved ones left an impact on her. She lost much of her mercy and grew cold. Yet, she still hold onto the memories she shared with her beloved. Wishing that the one she loved would return to him.

She became feared by her own soldiers. Legends spoke of the brood mother that would sooner consume you than hear your pleas. How she would capture you in her silk and cocoon you in her realms to await your death. How she would drain your blood and fluids while you were still alive.

Lebone was saved thanks to Abe, Umbriel, and Seraphim. Erebosa finally leaving her nest to greet the return of the angel. With much convincing from the Angel, Lebone and Erebosa agreed to meet once again. Their love rekindled.

Erebosa’s motherly tendencies began to emerge when she was exposed to the care of baby mudokons. She would try to weave infant shadow spirits but would fail each time. Her happiness began to deteriorate and Lebone would finally approach to ask what was wrong. Lebone listened and broke fragments of his bone mask off for Erebosa to take. She would weave the bone fragments into her silk. Ansei the Dream Weaver was born.

With the threat of the brood father growing more dangerous, she had opted to accelerate the growth of her child to help with the fight against the corrupt false god. It hurt, but she knew what must be done. With the return of her mother, Ansei’s accelerated aging was halted. This did leave Ansei with the power to speed up his own aging by his own will.

Erebosa will remain behind to guard Allervale when the time comes for Abe and his party to combat the brood father.

Oddworld Fan Lore: Persephone

Persephone is another child that marks the next generation of demigods. The adopted daughter of Seraphim and Joan. A shadow spirit raised in the care of light spirits.

Originally one of the parasitic brood of the Brood Father, she was born when the Parasite leader attempted to weave life into the corpse of a mudokon long dead. He did not realize that he had bore one of his brood in the process. This parasite was unique. She was completely free from the hive mind that her species are born into. The mindset of eat, serve, die.

Her old host was destroyed along with her old body, going through a forced rebirth at the risk of her memories being wiped or fragmented. She appears to have retained her memories and recognizes those that tried to aid her. She is now fiercely protective of them, even as a baby.

Her new form appears to be bat-like or gargoyle-esque. A completely new species never seen on Oddworld. Many glukkon may consider her a novelty for their collections, but woe to those that would try to capture her. They would face not only the ravenous hunger of the child, but the wrath of the gods themselves if Seraphim or Joan don’t come to you first. You will find Seraphim much more merciful than the rest of his family should you seek harm or capture of this child. The Brood Father seeks her head and has a vast reward for those that would bring her to him.

She shares similar habits as Lebone and Afareet do. Such as a voracious appetite for raw meat and bone, and a fierce temper if you cross her. She was gifted the ability to temporarily progress her age so that she may assist her family easier if they need it.

She is the spirit of the harvest, springtime, and the cycle of rebirth.  Her power is over nature. She can grow flowers, plants, and fungi. She can use these plants to craft potent medicine and poultices. With her help, Abe has constant access to many of the ingredients used to craft the cure for Soulstorm Brew. She also helps keep his village stocked with food. She helps the crops grow, makes sure the livestock has plenty of feed, and will eventually grow to become a powerful healer.

Though her attitude becomes jaded as she grows due to the mistrust she faces from others because of her old legacy of being a part of the brood. Many consider her a possible threat. She eventually gains a prankster streak. She will often trick her bullies into falling into harmless traps or will lie to them to scare them or make them cry.

She might become a handful, but her love for her father and mother never fades. She is closely bonded to her father in particular. She considers him her savior, and if anything were to happen to him, Woe be to the party that harmed the Seraphim, for the flowers and grass will wilt upon each footstep.

You have been marked. and she will find you.
