My Interpretation On Mitski's "A Pearl"

so basically a pearl is Mitski's 4th song on her album released in 2018 "Be The Cowboy" and this is what i think it means :)

The song starts off by the lyric "You're growing tired of me" Then Goes On Singing About Not Wanting A Lovers Touch But Still Wanting Their Love, Hence The Lyrics, "You Love me So hard, But i Still cant Sleep", And, "Sorry I Don't Want Your Touch, It's Not That I Don't Want You, Sorry i Cant Take Your Touch." She Then Sings That "She Fell In Love With A War, Not Knowing It Ended" Symbolizing That She May Have Been In An Abusive Relationship And Feeling Like She Is Still Captivated By That Unhealthy Relationship While Being in A Healthy One.

The Lyric She Says Next "It Left A Pearl In My Head, And I Roll It Around Every Night Just To Watch It Glow", Might Mean That Getting Out Of The Relationship She Was In Left Marks On Her And Unresolved Trauma And That's Why In The Beginning Shes Sings About The Person She Is In Love With Getting Tired of Her Not Confessing to The Problems She Had."I Roll It Around Every Night, Just To Watch It Glow", Might Mean That She May Be Still Thinking Of The Moments Her And Her Last Partner Had And She Remembers the Spark The Had Even If She Was In Something Abusive. She Still Feels A Hold On The Punishing Relations She Felt As Passion.

I Also Feel That Is The Reason For Falling In The Music Video. She Falls More And More Into The Horrible Relationship That She Believes They Are Signs Of Love. And When She Falls Into The Paper It Rips, Symbolizing Her Cutoff From The Relationship As It Fails To Succeed.

"There's A Hole That You Fill" Might Mean That Like I Said Earlier She Mistakes The Punishing Love She's In As Passion And That Now She Feels Stuck In The Old Relationship so Much That Now That She's Out Of It She Feels Like She Should've Stayed In It Because She Doesn't Know What To Do. (Does That Make Sense??) She Also Expresses This Feeling In "Francis Forever" With The Lines, "I Don't Know What To Do Without You, I Don't Know Where To Put My Hands", And , "On Sunny Days I Go Out Walking,I End Up On a Tree-Lined Street I Look up At the Gaps of Sunlight I Miss you More Than Anything" And In "Goodbye, My Danish Sweetheart" With This Line, "Now I lay as I study a blank wall, Would you Spare me your voice if I call? 'Cause you waited and watered my heart 'til it grew You just grew a little smarter, too" And "Now here I lay as I wonder about you, Would you just tell me what I'm meant to do?" .

Mitski Falling Into The Water And Landing On Top Of A New Surface Might Be Her Getting Into The New Relationship And Leaving The Old One Hence Why It Starts At The Beginning.

So Basically I Thought That The Song Was A Metaphor For MAJOR Stockholm Syndrome Issues Ya'll..Yeah.
