Currently, there’s 8 proper requests, though I’m pretty open to getting more like, all the time because it gives my brain a refresh.

Ashe Ubert

As quietly as you could, you shuffled your chair closer to Ashe’s, the library’s atmosphere as warm and welcoming as ever. You snaked your arms around one of his, making yourself as cozy as you could be, resting your head on his shoulder. A soft chuckle passed Ashe’s lips as you did a few more finite shuffles to bring yourself to an optimal position. 

“Comfortable?” He asked, gently flitting through the pages of the book in his hands, looking for the most recently dog-eared page. It was his idea for you to chip away through books together, working as an excuse for him to revisit some old favourites and share them with you. You let out a long quiet yawn before nodding against his shoulder.

“Mmhmm…” You mumbled out, very cozy against his arm, shuffling just a tad to get a good view of the pages. A smile played on his lips as his eyes flicked over the pages, finding exactly where you left off.

“Let’s see…” 

“It was the part where Lady Millicent was cornered by the bandits.” A noise of recognition erupted from the back of his throat, finding the spot he’d been searching for.

“Surrounded by scoundrels and rogues alike, Millicent drew the blade from her collapsed guardian, a faint groan passing his lips. She could feel her heart beat erratically in her chest. Combat like this was something entirely new, though before she knew it, she was dodging past the opposing arrows with a refined elegance, grace in her movements as she danced with her blade, deflecting away stray projectiles.” 

While your gaze had been following along with the words printed in the page, you found yourself looking up to Ashe, watching as he read, his voice just above a whisper as to not disturb the others in the library.

“She felt disgusted with herself. It was something she could barely comprehend, the way the rogue remained on the ground, unmoving, the way their blood seeped into the very earth, and the way it ran down her blade and clung to her fingers, like a sickly sweet syrup. Bringing her clean hand to her face, her knees buckle, and she screams.” 

You couldn’t quite put your finger on why, but there was something soothing about getting Ashe to read to you, even if the event he was describing was a bloody massacre, you’d still find yourself pacified by his words.

Or maybe you were just too tired to care.

“Her guard gently took hold of her hand, her legs barely allowing her to keep up, grip loosening on her blade until it landed on the ground with a thud. He guided Millicent into her caravan, the woman barely making it inside before she collapsed in her seat. Her face lacked the light it had just earlier in the morn, all she did was stare at her palms, the blood on one slowly staining the other.” 

Slowly, your eyes fluttered shut, though you forced them open once more. You chewed on the inside of your cheek, conflicted. On one hand, you hadn’t gotten a whole lot farther than last time, on the other, you didn’t want to disappoint Ashe while falling asleep while he read.

Making up your mind, you gently tapped on his arm, once, twice, three times. Ashe stopped mid sentence and looked over to you, a warm smile on his features as he saw the sleepy look on your face.

“Is that it for now?” He asked, fingers lingering at the edge of the page. You nodded against his shoulder once more.

“Mmhmm. If that’s okay, anyway.” You mumbled. Nodding, Ashe dog eared the current page and gently shut the book, setting it aside. He let you get as comfortable against his arm as you’d like, pulling out a book he had set aside for personal reading. 

“A rather somber note today, hm?” You gave a groggy nod. It was his way of finally settling things until you actually slept, just asking simple questions about the reading you’d done. He also wouldn’t tell you, but the basic conversation was oddly relaxing for him. 

Ashe opened his mouth to continue the admittedly, one sided conversation, though paused as he heard your soft snores, realizing you’d completely drifted off. 

Quiet, content hums passed his lips as he continued reading. He couldn’t quite put his finger on it, but this was relaxing to him. Perhaps this was how you felt when you took your naps? In a way, he was a little jealous, but he had to admit, the way your arms remained snaked around his made a certain warmth bubble in his chest.

By the soft flicker of the library’s candlelight, he gently rested his head on yours, a true feeling of peace washing over him as he silently turned the page again.

How many requests do you currently have?

I currently have eight regular requests in the inbox and one request for the love letter event!

Honestly I kinda want to keep the requests open for the later until tomorrow afternoon because I only got one, but no one's gonna send them in.

Might as well leave it open longer anyway.

But yeah, provided I can consistently remember to update it, the 'Loading...' tab on desktop should have all of the requests that have been asked and are currently being worked on.

Yeah, you aren’t alone.

My friend was watching me type up the actual imagine and he pointed out that because of google docs habit of marking Ashe related requests as headings that the same thing ended up happening.

So, the only conclusion is that Tumblr and Google both want Ashe dead, and isn’t that just a shame?

Hi, Hello, it’s me, Mod Flayn!

Did you know I have an Ashe bias?

I did, and now you do, too!

Also, first request jitters, haaaa.

Ashe Ubert

Gently, you gnawed on your thumbnail. Claude had told you that you were supposed to help with lunch today, much to your dread, but where were you to start? Much like the rest of the Golden Deer, you weren’t exactly the most culinarily inclined. You couldn’t very well ask the others, you’d just have two kitchen disasters for the price of one. Maybe you could ask Manuela to give you a hand…? 

Yeah, that sounded like a good idea. 

You took a few steps back, glancing over the kitchen one more time before you turned on your heel, though you couldn’t help but jump as you felt something bump into you. You took a moment to recuperate, prepared to apologize your head off, but stopped.

You stopped and you thanked the Goddess.

“Ashe, you need to help me!” You practically begged the younger boy, clasping your hands tightly over his. He blinked in response, clearly caught off guard by the sudden outburst. 

“W-whatever do you need help with?” 

You explained your situation to him, to which he simply smiled, trying to get you to stop being so hysteric over something as simple as cooking a meal for your classmates. 

You showed him what you had to work with, the most prominent thing being the bullhead your Professor brought you for said meal You had to be honest, you weren’t sure where they got it, nor how they kept it in their pocket. Though he seemed to know exactly what to do with it.

“Oh, catfish like that make good in a gratin.” 

He couldn’t help but giggle seeing how you lit up at the suggestion. Were you excited at the prospect of gratin, or with the quick solution, he had no idea. But it was endearing. 

Ashe carefully guided you through preparing the fish; he watched tentatively as you washed it, removed the scales and chopped off its head, though the problem came when it was time to fillet it. 

“Uh, Ashe?” 

“Hm?” You got the younger boy’s attention as he was busy preparing the rest of the ingredients. 

“Could you maybe help out with this?” He glanced over, seeing where you were with the fish before nodding. 

“Of course. You need help with the cutting, yes?” You nodded, offering him the knife, though, instead of taking it, he held your hand with his, gently guiding your hands as you sliced the fish together. 

“Your hands… they’re really soft…” You murmured out. 

Ashe didn’t respond, but you did see a light pink tone dust across his face. The two of you remained in silence as you cut, though Ashe occasionally mumbled out the instructions on the filleting process, though if it was for you to listen to or if he was simply talking to himself, you weren’t entirely sure.

This was nice though.

Just a peaceful scenario of making food together with one of your closest friends, just forgetting the disasters that had befallen your peers over the past few months. 

Yeah, this was nice.

The rest of the process for putting together the rest of the gratin went along smoothly, with jokes and quips traded between the two of you until the food had been tucked away into the oven. You sat together at one of the nearby tables, waiting for it to finish baking before you had to go off to find the rest of your House, excited to show them the meal that was prepared. 

“Thank you for all the help, Ashe.” You gently tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, kind of relieved that the hustle and bustle of the kitchen work was finally cooling down. “I honestly don’t know how well that would have gone without you.” 

“Oh, no, no need to thank me. I enjoy cooking, and I like watching you learn your way through it. If you’d like we could make this a regular thing between us.” Oh, if only you could see how much your face lit up at that. 

“You really mean that?!” Letting out a pleasant laugh, he nodded. 

“Of course. If you ever need help with cooking, just come find me and I’d be glad to help you again.” You seemed so happy with his offer, even to the point where you had an extra spring in your step as you retrieved the gratin from the oven, the outcome at the very least looking pleasant. 

“Well, I’ll be sure to let you know when I’m cooking again, but for now I should go find everyone else so we can serve this up.” 

“Ah, good luck!” He called as you sprinted off to find Claude and the others.

You supposed you would have a reason to look forward to your turn to cook after all.
