this part from morph always fks me up because I just imagine tyler stranded in a boundless world devoid of any sign of humans trying desperately to read life in the mysterious 'transmissions' sent to him and echoing those transmissions in hopes of finding those people..
maybe it's the dramatic writer side of my brain (completely unrelated to the canon lore) but idk morph shouldn't normally be a tear-jerking song but it is for me, because of this part and others
I don't go here, metaphorically, so what did Tyler Joseph do?
He tweeted this
Which is supposed to be a mockery of the people who have been asking him to use his platform to talk about the BLM movement, the murders and just everything really. He hasn’t spoken about it. All he had done was make an insensitive tweet.
And then as if that wasn’t bad enough he goes and tweets a bunch about mental health. This would’ve been good cause it’s mental health (or maybe suicide not sure) awareness month so yeah and also tøp is really all abt mental health. But however it’s not really good as it just comes off as a ploy to get sympathy and give bullshit excuses as to why he hasn’t spoken up yet as he started on this not long after the original platform tweet. People are saying that he used the first tweet to gain attention as controversy normally does that. But that’s not an excuse. He can’t just put down POC because he wants attention so he can talk about mental illness. It’s fucking awful and he should be ashamed
But he’s not ashamed. So then to top it all off he tweets this
Basically everyone has been telling him to apologise, delete the tweet etc and speak up on the movement but no instead he goes and backs up his first tweet
TLDR: Tyler Joseph as been a massive twat about the BLM movement and has decided to double down on his take instead of apologising
Simply posting a black screen on social media isn’t enough. Participating in the blackout DOES NOT mean staying silent. Post about black history and amplify the work and messages of the black community. We must continue to protest, raise our voices, raise awareness, sign petitions, make donations, and educate ourselves. We need to do better. We need to fight.
