Askfirmations and the Law of Attraction

One of the most important steps in the manifestation process is the first one, to ask for what you want. This may seem like a simple task, but it is in fact a stumbling block for a lot of people.  In this post I am going to try and clarify this step, so you can begin to manifest exactly what you want, quickly and effortlessly. The focus will be on our affirmations, or ASKFIRMATIONS.  So what are askfirmations? Basically, Askfirmations are affirmations but rephrased into the form of a question. For example, ‘I am rich and successful’ would become ‘Isn’t it amazing that I’m so rich and successful?’  You see, the brain responds to questions in a much more engaging way than it does to statements. Our subconscious mind is working constantly creating images and associations with our consciousness. When the subconscious mind hears a statement of any kind, it can’t help but retrieve the image most associated. Therefore, you need to be really careful that you do not have any negative beliefs about what you are trying to manifest.  I discovered that I had some very negative associations around money. As a child, my family were very wealthy. However, when I was around 10 years old my parents divorced. Getting what you want with the Law of Attraction

The law of attraction can be very frustrating for many people. After all, if the law of attraction worked, why isn’t everyone living their dream lives? Please understand this - the law of attraction is always working!! In everyone and everything. It is like gravity in that way. If things are not materializing in your life the way you would like, I hate to tell you, but it's not a problem with the law of attraction. The problem is your understanding of it.  The main aspects that influence the law of attraction are your point of focus/attention and your dominant vibration. You attract to you what you are, how you feel. This means if you feel good, more good things will happen! Of course, this also works in reverse. The worse you feel, it seems the worse things get. This is why it is so important to learn how to control your feelings, to regain your power in life.   We must also learn how to have control over our point of focus. How often have you spent time focusing on what you don’t have? The things you lack? Wishing things could be better. This is why appreciation is so powerful. It focuses our thoughts on what we have, the abundance around us. There is always something to appreciate in life. If you feel that you lack material possessions, or freedom, try and focus on what you do have. A healthy body? Access to beautiful public parks? A loving family? How to Rock the Lockdown

“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade! “  As a Law of Attraction coach, I am a firm believer in this phrase.  After all, helping people make the best of things, rock the lockdown and attract better situations is what I live for. However, I have noticed a lot of people are struggling to make their proverbial ‘lemonade’. Especially now that we have suddenly been cut away from our ‘normal’ lives and thrust into this new unknown situation.

Yet in life, nothing is more inevitable than change.  Times change, people change, situations change. We are all changing right now, trying to adapt to new routines and situations previously unknown to us. But how can we ensure that we change for the better ? Here are my recommendations to help you Rock the Lockdown. Keep up a routine. A routine is very calming to the mind, and sticking to a schedule will help you achieve so much more during this time. Make sure that you get up early, attend to self care and eat healthy, nutritious meals.  Having a plan for your daily life will create structure and balance. The great news is, you get to create your own schedule! Reach out to others We are so lucky to have the technology to be able to connect with friends and family from all around the world. This is a great time to reach out and build on your network of positive people in your life.  Always remember, you are the sum of the five people that you spend the most time with, so choose wisely.  It is enormously helpful when trying to grow in any area of your life, to find people that have already done it. With so many online groups and communities out there, now is the time to be an active participant and connect with like-minded people. Develop new skills or master old ones. Have you ever wanted to learn a new language? Become a better photographer? Write a novel? Now is the perfect time to learn something new, or take up an old hobby. With so many tutorials available online for just about any subject imaginable, there really is no excuse for not getting started. The only thing separating you from the experts is time and practise. Get moving Make sure that you keep (or establish) a daily exercise routine. Not only will exercise help you become lean and toned, it will also help you stay in a positive frame of mind. Movement that increases the heart rate releases mood enhancing endorphins into your system. This makes you feel better for the rest of the day. Here’s a little tip I learnt to help you get started if you don’t like exercise - Tell yourself you only need to do ten minutes. If you are still not in the mood, you can stop then.  Getting started is the hard part, continuing once you have begun is easy. After ten minutes, those feel-good endorphins will have begun to take effect and you will usually be happy to carry on. Even if you stop after ten minutes, at least you have done some exercise, which is better than nothing. Take time to relax The downside of all this fabulous technology that most of us have is that you can be contacted and called upon literally 24hrs a day. Make sure you take some time to unplug and disconnect from the outside world and the demands of friends and family. Treat yourself to a luxurious bath, read a book, chill out on the sofa with a cuppa and your favourite TV show, whatever you like to do to truly unwind. Do not give in to fear Limit the time that you spend watching news.  The current situation on this planet means that the news and social media is full of upsetting statistics and scenarios.  Of course you need to keep up to date with health protocols and regulations in your country, but you do not need to constantly fill your mind with negativity and fear. TURN IT OFF. I believe that this is the most important choice that you can make, especially during this time. It is your choice how to live. Yes, you could easily survive this lockdown, but you can choose to THRIVE.

Throughout our daily lives, we have so much going on, everything desperate for our attention and focus. Learning how to be selective about your focus can transform your life! 5 Top Tips for better Focus.
1.Begin each day with positive, life affirmations. Set the intention that you will have a beautiful day, and everything will work out divinely for you. Check out my blog post on affirmations here.

2. Create a vision board. Vision boards are fantastic for bringing your focus back to what you want in life. I recommend having your board prominently displayed where you can often see it during the day.  I have a post on creating the perfect vision board here.

3. Try and limit social media. It is so easy to get distracted by posts, memes and videos that are literally designed to grab our attention and focus. Try and limit your time on these apps and turn your focus towards more positive and productive things.

4. Focus on friends The people that you choose to be around have a great influence over your life so choose wisely! Take a look at the people you hang around with. Are they supportive of your goals and dreams in life? If not, it may be time to find some different friends.

5. The Power of No. By learning to focus on what you want, you will naturally be leaving behind things that you don't want in your life. There may be people that try and draw you back into old thinking patterns and behaviours. By saying no to this, and setting boundaries, you are allowing a new positive mindset to grow.

Coronavirus and the law of attraction

All around the world most people are in panic and confusion, focused on the Coronavirus. The amount of news coverage and attention the media is dedicating to this outbreak is huge. Unfortunately, not all of the information available is the truth and it is vital, now more than ever to act rationally and calmly. Here we have a great opportunity to use the law of attraction to benefit everybody. We can use the law of attraction to bring forth good health and vitality, abundance and an existence full of exciting creation.

To do this however, we need to move out of the frequency of fear and panic that we are currently in. You can only manifest in your life things that are on the same vibrational frequency as you. We as a planet need to change our thinking about the coronavirus, stop obsessively focusing on it. I am not suggesting that we pretend this pandemic is not happening. To live in denial and just carry on with daily life would be reckless and ill-advised. Sadly, this is how most people think the law of attraction works. Just state a few positive affirmations and 'hey presto' all is cured. It is also not helpful to affirm that the conoravirus is eliminated. By affirming this, you are still focusing on the problem. And guess what? The law of attraction will deliver what you focus on! Everytime! This is why John Lennon said he would not attend an 'anti war' rally, but would happily go to one promoting peace.  This is how we need to look at the current situation, not anti Coronavirus, but pro health and wellness. By being 'anti' anything you are just putting more focus on the problem. More and more energy is given to the pandemic, building it to grow and grow.

So what should we do?
We should all take a chill pill! Calm the f*ck down! Look at the steps to getting the law of attraction working positively in your life.  Firstly we ask properly for what we want. We would like to be strong, fit and healthy.  Next we align with that vibration and take inspired action towards it.  In the current situation, I believe being fit and healthy would definitely include following government guidelines on behaviour. I make sure I am up to date and fully informed on protocols as they are given. HOWEVER, I do not recommend obsessing over media coverage. Try and find a news outlet that delivers necessary information in a non-alarmist manner.  Once you are sure you are doing all you can to protect yourself and your loved ones FORGET ABOUT IT. Go about your day as normally as possible. Practice gratitude for all the good that is around you. Take part in inspired conversations, watch uplifting programs, take advantage of being at home by doing all the things you don't normally have time for. There are always positives to any situation if you look. Live in the vibration of love and abundance, calm in the knowledge that you are doing all that you can to help yourself and your loved ones. The next exciting stage is to receive. You are a healthy, happy human free of fear and panic! Now is a great time to express gratitude and notice the wonderful world that you are a part of.  The truth is we do live in an amazing, abundant world. This can be seen everywhere, even in times of hardship and fear such as these. Look at all the good that has already come out of this situation, neighbourhoods singing together, the young helping the elderly, strangers bonding together to help each other. I am so grateful to see the human spirit light up the world. That should be our focus right now.

5 Easy ways to Supercharge the Law of Attraction.

Do you want the law of attraction to work effortlessly for you, but are unsure where to start? The law of attraction will affect your life, whether you have control of it or not. Like gravity, the law of attraction is always in play and it can work against you as well as for you. So how do we get things moving in the right direction? We all want to manifest our most abundant lives, full of love and joy, right?The world you live in is a manifestation of your subconscious thoughts and beliefs. To harness the law of attraction and manifest the life of your dreams, you need to move your sub-conscious into alignment with your conscious desires.

Here are the top 5 things that helped me make significant change, and begin manifesting with conscious intention.  1. Gratitude Notice the things that you love about your life. Whatever you focus on will only increase. This is why worrying about debt or other negative things is very unhelpful. Gratitude and acknowledgement of the good stuff will magnify it and cause more to show up in your life. Some people write a gratitude journal and list everything in that. Personally, I prefer to notice things as they happen. I am always thinking how lucky I am to be surrounded by amazing people and places. I say a mental ‘Thank You’ to my guardian angels for bringing me into positive situations. If you look for something to be grateful for, you will always find it. 2. Clarity and the law of attraction For a great deal of my life, I manifested with little conscious thought. It was only when I put in effort to be honest and clear about what I wanted to manifest that those things showed up. It is very easy to get distracted from our goals. We are constantly bombarded with advertisements and information about ‘the next best thing’. Unless you make a clear decision about what you want, the Universe cannot provide it! 3. BE it This is one of the most important steps to conscious manifestation. You must be in complete alignment with your desires. Being in alignment means being at the same vibrational frequency. You must live as if, and believe that your wish has been fulfilled. For example, if you want to be slim, you must live each day as a slim person. You must live that lifestyle, eating what a slim person would, moving as a slim person. Very soon your external reality will start to match your internal beliefs.It is the same with financial abundance. You must have the mind-set of a financially successful person. This does not mean being frivolous with money and spending what you don’t have on outward signs of wealth. It means believing in your ability to invest money and make it grow. This is tackling money issues with positivity and assurance, not sweeping them under the carpet in fear. Not only will this bring huge peace of mind, but soon your change in beliefs and attitude will reflect in your bank balance. 4. Raise your vibration The universe reflects back to you on the same frequency/vibration that you give out. Like a radio station, you have to ‘tune in’ to what you want to manifest. This is what Abraham Hicks describes as ‘getting into the Vortex’, and stepping into your creative power. It is easy to check on our vibrational level, as the higher your vibration, the better you FEEL. Feelings of love and joy are of a high frequency, unlike fear, guilt and shame, which are at the other end of the scale. Meditation Learning to meditate and focus completely supercharged my ability to control the law of attraction. There are many different styles of meditation out there, the trick is to find one that works for you. Also remember, it is not necessary to meditate for hours at a time.  I am a very fidgety person and found meditating very hard at first. Even just a few minutes a day will help.   Harnessing the Law of Attraction One of the most important things to take away from this is, It is all about YOU! True enlightenment and power over the law of attraction can only come from within. The above steps are great guidelines, but you must implement them in your own way. You know what is best for you. Write your own rules, be the hero in your own story. I believe in you, but most importantly, I believe in your power to believe in yourself. You are Awesome!

How our beliefs shape our reality

As we delve deeper into the law of attraction, it is common to hear that beliefs shape our reality. But what does that mean exactly? Let's have a quick look at how beliefs are formed. A belief is a repeating thought or perception we have about the world around us.  We gather information about our reality through experience and being. When we are born, we are totally free of these beliefs. As we develop and experience life, beliefs quickly form. These beliefs are created through observation, learning, our culture, family, environment etc. The thing is, everybody has a different life experience, and therefore form different beliefs. No belief is inherently right or wrong. One person may believe the complete opposite of another, they may both be correct from their unique perspective. To illustrate this, think about a piece of paper. To an ant walking across the paper, it is huge and vast. A never-ending open space to be explored. To a human being, it may be an important document, awaiting his attention. An astronaut in space my look down on planet earth and would not even see the paper, it’s existence being completely unknown to him. Which of these beliefs is correct?

As these belief patterns form, we begin to shape reality to align with them, so beliefs shape our reality. Our beliefs become like a filter for our sub-conscious mind, only allowing the things that are in alignment to manifest. With this knowledge we can see how important it is to identify our beliefs and change any that are not serving us.

Identifying belief patterns Most of our beliefs are sub-conscious, so we need to do a little digging to identify them. You can start by asking yourself questions about different areas of your life. Try writing a list of your feelings and beliefs. Do not think too much about the answers, remember there is no right or wrong. We just want to identify beliefs for now. Here is a list of questions to get you started. What do I belief about People? Is the world a kind, benevolent place? What do people think of me? What type of person am I? What is most important to me? What does it mean to be a ‘good’ person? These are questions about your identity, but you can easily explore your beliefs about relationships, money, love etc. by asking similar questions. Again, remember there is no correct answer. The more honest you are, the more helpful this exercise will be. Changing our beliefs. Usually, people are very attached to what they perceive to be their ‘core set’ of beliefs. However, beliefs are not fixed and even strongly held beliefs can be changed easier than we think. For example, let’s take a look at what happened after the Korean War. In January 1954, American soldiers were released from Korean Prisoner- of- war camps. Upon their return to America, people were stunned to discover that many of the freed soldiers held strong pro-communism beliefs. In fact, some American soldiers chose to stay in Korea, rather than return to the democratic system in the USA. People were astounded and could not understand what had coursed this huge change in beliefs. It was assumed that the soldiers had been tortured, hypnotised or brain- washed somehow. What actually happened..... It is clear that the Chinese forces understood how beliefs shape our reality. They realised that by changing the US soldiers political beliefs about communism, they would naturally stop fighting them. Upon arrival at the camps, the US soldiers were greeted enthusiastically by the prison guards and congratulated on their liberation. Over the following weeks, the prisoners attended long lectures and held discussions on the topic of communism and its benefits. If anybody voiced any anti-communist sentiments, the group would have to sit through the lectures again.  The guards also asked the prisoners to write down some pro-communist statements. The prisoners were happy to do this, as they could not see any harm in it. After all, they were not being asked to say that they believed in these words. They were often given a small reward for their compliance. Once this was established behaviour, the prisoners were asked to read the statements aloud, first to themselves, and then to fellow inmates. They were also encouraged to discuss the benefits of communism in mock debates. Many of the soldiers wrote pro-communist articles for the camp newsletter in return for fresh fruit and other favours. Once these articles were published, they were given a Mao Tse-tung badge to wear, and again rewarded for their behaviour. It is important to remember that during this time, the soldiers were only asked to BEHAVE AS IF they held pro-communist beliefs. The guards never asked them to believe in communism. However, over time, these seemingly small actions changed the soldiers’ core beliefs. As they saw themselves behaving in a pro-communist manner, they started to believe that they must be a communist.  This was a way of rationalising their behaviour to themselves. So what can we learn from this? If you want to change any beliefs that are not serving you well, you must first identify them. Then you must find a new set of beliefs that you would prefer to experience in your reality. After these new beliefs are established, write them down as affirmations. Put them around your home and try to repeat them to yourself as often as you can. As much as possible, try to act AS IF and change your behaviour to better represent this new belief pattern. Soon, just like the American prisoners-of-war, you will find your beliefs changing. The funny thing is, people that change their beliefs tend to be in complete denial about ever holding the original, contradicting belief! That is how strong the new belief can be.   Beliefs are limitations in our reality. Your beliefs act as a filter to reality, and limit our creative potential. Once we let go of our limiting beliefs, we begin to live in true alignment with our core spiritual selves. We begin to manifest joyful abundance, free from the constraints of our limited human perspective. As beliefs shape our reality, the releasing of our beliefs allows reality to be a whole lot more flexible! To hold beliefs of any kind limit us to that vibrational frequency. As we evolve in consciousness, our beliefs change. We move from a fear based reality of lack, to a more positive mind-set construct of love and abundance. However, true enlightenment is found when we see that belief itself is an illusion. When we have no preconceived beliefs, and see the world through the innocence of a child, that is a true gift.

Law of Attraction Affirmations

Law of Attraction affirmations can really help to focus on being aligned with our dreams and goals. Living in alignment is the key to making the law of attraction work positively in life.  It is quite easy to find affirmations that suit you, just go for whatever makes you feel the most JOY! Remember, the law of attraction works most efficiently when fuelled with good, positive feelings. Looking at, and speaking aloud, affirmations raises our vibration to be more in harmony with what we are trying to create in our lives. The Universe can not help but answer with a big YES when you ask from the heart.  I would recommend creating your own Law of Attraction affirmations, or searching online for some that resonate with you. I have listed some of my favourites below, or you could always check out Pinterest for some great ideas.

How to use affirmations Make sure that you print off your affirmations and put them around the house where you can see them. A really good place is on mirrors, where you can see positive changes in yourself on a daily basis. You can also put affirmations up on  kitchen cupboards, the fridge, in the car etc. Anywhere that catches your eye! Another good idea is to use your favourite affirmation as a screensaver on your phone or computer. Most people use their phones multiple times a day. Imagine all that positive energy you will be getting each time you connect with, and remember your affirmation! The most important thing is that the affirmation is believable to you. You must FEEL as if you are in alignment with it. I personally would not recommend stuff like 'I am a millionaire' if you don't feel financially abundant right now. Just seeing the statement that you don't truly believe will make you feel uneasy and like a fraud. This is definitely not what we are going for here!!  Every affirmation MUST inspire positive thoughts and feelings in you. In the example above, it would be much better to go for 'I attract money to me easily'. This is much more plausible and fun, even if you have no money at present.  12 Law of Attraction Affirmations

Small steps to big changes

Taking small steps in life can lead to big changes, especially when it comes to living spiritually and expanding your consciousness. The truth is when most people have a spiritual awakening, it quickly becomes overwhelming. Sometimes this feeling of overwhelm can lead to depression and apathy with life. So how can we prevent this from happening to us? It may seem counter-productive, but by focusing on small steps, rather than the ultimate goal, we are more likely to succeed. Tell yourself that ‘just for today’ you will be able to keep a spiritual mind-set. This is far easier than setting the goal of permanent change. Pretty soon you will find that the days you are able to achieve your goal are more and more, and it becomes a natural way of life. We can apply this to any area of our lives that we would like to improve. This especially helps with big goals which seem insurmountable when looked at as a whole. Let us take weight loss as an example. If you have a large amount of weight to lose, focusing on the whole amount can quickly lead to overwhelm. Most people give up without trying, the goal is too big. Instead try looking at each pound (or kg if you are in the USA) lost as a milestone on your path to success. This is why they give out rewards at weight-watcher clubs to people who have achieved a small amount of success. It encourages them to keep going! If we looked into the future and calculated how long it would take to lose a significant amount of weight, it may be a year or more. Nobody welcomes the thought of being on a diet for a year!! This is why it is essential to take small steps and focus on just eating well, one day at a time. As well as small steps in time, taking small actions and making small changes can also lead to massive change. I found this when trying to develop the habit of going to the gym. When I was at the gym, after a few minutes I would feel great. This lead to me feeling better all day, thanks to good endorphins I guess! Who knows what it was but I knew that going to the gym made me feel good. HOWEVER……the thought of actually going to the gym was dreadful….I would put it off, I’d much rather have extra time in bed. I have learnt that I have a natural laziness and really need to be zapped into action with some sort of cattle prod!  To overcome this, I used the small steps method. I told myself that all I had to do was go to the gym and get on the exercise bike for 10 minutes.

 After that, if I wanted too, I could come back home and go back to bed. The thought of going to the gym for 10 minutes was not as daunting. I was not overwhelmed with the idea and would go. Of course, once I was there I always stayed longer, and was really happy with myself. The small steps method can be applied to almost every big task that overwhelms you. Do you need to clean the house? Set yourself the task of dusting just one room. Chances are once you get going you won’t want to stop. Often, it’s beginning the tasks that are the difficult part. We can build things up in our heads to be much more monumental than they actually are. When you get going you realise that you were probably making a bit fuss over nothing. Small steps to expanding your consciousness So how can this help us when we are trying to live in more alignment with our more abundant, spiritual selves? The first small step that I would recommend is to set time aside each day for meditation. Just start of small. Even 15 minutes a day will make a big difference. I would recommend doing this first thing in the morning before everyone else wakes up. But, if that is impractical, just do it another time, it is entirely up to you.  There are some great meditations on youtube, or you can download the abundance meditation here. Practising gratitude is another a small step you can take. Make time to look around you and be thankful for what you have in your life right now. When we start to change our perception of life to one of abundance and gratitude rather than lack, big changes will occur. Gradually the things that do not serve us will fall away as we appreciate more.

Notice all the good stuff, friends and family, your job, your environment. As you begin to ‘realise’ the magnificence that you have created, you will naturally align more with it. This is the true magic in practising gratitude, it is the fastest way to get in alignment with good things in abundance. It really takes no time at all, and will make a huge difference in your life. “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

Neil Armstrong Astronaut Any small steps that you can take towards leading a better life are worth taking. Do not be daunted or put off by the seemingly insurmountable ‘bigger picture’. Remember, we used to look up to the stars and dream, and now we have landed on the moon!

A Little light on Blue Monday

Apparently the Blue Monday that has just passed was the most depressing day of the year. This cheery fact was decided by psychologist Dr Cliff Arnall in 2004, after a holiday company asked him to do some research into the topic. But why is it supposedly so depressing? I did a bit of research (not much I can assure you, it is a dreary notion) into Blue Monday. I was surprised to discover that it has no basis in facts or statistics. It is just one guy’s notion, based on his theories of what makes people depressed. Blue Monday is officially the third Monday in January. As an interesting side note, before we start berating Dr Arnall, he also came up with the ‘happiest day of the year (a Friday in July) so it’s not all doom and gloom! The contributing factors to ‘blue Monday’ are: Christmas has long gone, friends and family have all disappeared to their own lives again, leaving people feeling isolated. We have to start paying back credit cards etc and look at our spending habits over Christmas. The weather is cold and bleak. It is roughly three weeks from the start of the new year, and most people have broken their new year’s resolutions by now. The summer holidays seem a long way away. The worrying thing about ‘blue Monday’ in my mind, is in the labelling of a day as particularly depressing. This is highlighting it to people that may already have issues around depression and anxiety. All of a sudden, they are bombarded by the notion that there is a ‘depressing day’ to overcome. They start expecting to feel depressed, even if they have no reason to! Once we begin to expand our consciousness, and live more in the moment, we can see the reality behind ‘blue Monday’ and break it down. It is all about looking at the past, focusing on what we don’t have, wishing things were different. This is no way to live a happy life! One of the great spiritual teachers, Eckhart Tolle, wrote a book on this very concept, ‘The power of Now’. I highly recommend his book for anyone wishing to find more fulfilment and peace in life. The power of now Living in the moment means enjoying life as it comes to us. Don’t wait for summer to be happy, be happy right now! We never know what lies ahead, so choosing not to enjoy the present, just because it’s a bit cold outside really is crazy thinking. Look around yourself right now and feel gratitude for the people and circumstances in your life. In life the only absolute certainty we have is change. You may feel as you go about your daily life that you are stuck, doing the ‘same old thing’ day in, day out. In reality, life flashes past at the blink of an eye. It is only when we look back that we realise how lucky we were.  When I was a young mother and my daughter was a toddler, I was approached a few times by elder women. They would smile at me and tell me how lucky I was. That I should cherish these times with her. Of course I did, but sometimes it was hard. Especially if she decided to have a screaming meltdown! This also made me feel sad for the elder women though. I hoped that although they weren’t looking after their children anymore, they had other things in life that were fulfilling to them. The truth is we cannot change the past, or predict the future. We only have control over the present moment. Once we learn to control our emotions and release the anxieties connected with our ‘life story’ we can begin a better, happier existence.  Looking back with regret, or wishful thinking can’t change anything.

What can we learn from ‘Blue Monday’? The concept of a ‘blue Monday’ shows that thinking of the past (or future) with negativity, longing or regret is pointless. It can only lead to depressing feelings and is destructive to our spiritual essence.   Make each moment count, do not wait for a future date to feel happy. Your happiness is certainly not weather dependant, as suggested by this crazy ‘blue Monday’ notion. If you are feeling down because you miss having the family around, call them NOW, change your present reality. Or maybe that new year’s resolution has failed? Don’t be so hard on yourself, give it another go if you like, why not start right NOW. In my case I’m learning not to be so hard on myself with new year resolutions. I find that living mindfully one day at a time and not pressurising myself with massive changes all to be implemented on January 1st, is much easier. Your divine spirit was made for love and abundance. When you can see that and live in joy and wonder in the now, then your present is reality, and mastery over it.

The world is a reflection of yourself

Have you heard the term, 'the world is a reflection of yourself', or the spiritual law, 'As within, without'? This basically states that our thoughts create our reality and the world around us is a reflection of that.  However, as usual with spiritual law, things are not quite that simple. The world around us reflects back to us in more ways than one. There are actually three primary ways in which we are shown ourselves through our outer reality. Understanding these will help us to see issues in our lives and quickly address them. 1. We are shown what we are. This is the simplest form of reflection to understand. We are shown ourselves directly in our reality. This is usually through the people closest too us, our home environment and maybe objects that we frequently use. This explains why some things work perfectly well for one person, but not another, like a car for example.

To learn from these reflections, it can help to look at exactly where the problem lies. A car is the perfect example. Each part of the car can be easily recognised for it's function. Is it running as efficiently as it could? Do you have problems with the brakes? Is it difficult to start in the mornings? Once you look at yourself and fix the corresponding problem in your life, you will find that the car problems will quickly disappear too. We can also use these reflections the other way around, fixing problems in our outer world to help our inner selves. Clutter in the home is a great example of this. Ever noticed how much mentally lighter you feel after having a big clear out? It's like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders and you can suddenly see things from a new perspective! One word of warning though, whilst seemingly sorting things out externally can give you a badly needed short term boost, you will always need to address the issue within. Otherwise the problem will just come back, or be reflected in another aspect of your life. After all, the world is a reflection of yourself, not the other way around! 2. We are shown what we judge. The mirrors of judgement can be difficult to face. This is where our outer reality shows us our judgements and emotions. This mirror is usually shown through other people in our lives. It can be recognised by the intensity of emotions that surface in you. To understand this lesson, you will first have to honestly ask yourself if what you are seeing reflected is an aspect of yourself or not. If it is not, it will usually be a judgement. For example, let's say that several people in your life are particularly mean with money, but you are a naturally generous person. It annoys and frustrates you to see them acting this way. Why are these people behaving like this? You know that you are not mean with money. These people are actually reflections of unconscious beliefs and judgements that you have. Ask yourself why you are noticing this behaviour in particular, why does it bring up such intense feelings in you? You probably have some inner healing work to do around issues involving things being withheld from you. Things that frustrate and annoy us only do so because of our beliefs around that issue caused by past experiences. Once we uncover those beliefs and bring them to the surface, our frustration and anger with the reflected situations and people will disappear. We are shown what we have lost. Throughout our lives we all inevitably give away and lose pieces of ourselves to others. This is part of being human, we sacrifice ourselves for those around us. However, our basic instinct is to be complete and whole. When we see our missing part reflected in another, we feel a strong attraction.

This explains the concept of 'opposites attract'. Like when you see a shy, quite person with someone who is outgoing and loud. Or a timid person with a far more dominant partner. The key to navigating these sometimes difficult relationships, is understanding why you are attracted to the other person. Once you have reclaimed the missing part of yourself that they are showing you, often the relationship will naturally dissolve, if that is what you want.  This mirror can be a problem for people in established relationships. It is difficult if you suddenly feel a strong attraction to a new person in your life! Often we will avoid this new person so as not to bring up these strong feelings. If we realise that the new person is reflecting to us a missing part of ourselves, we can try and integrate that into our lives again. By regaining this missing aspect, the attraction to the other person will naturally fall away. What can we learn from our reflections? So you can see that the world is a reflection of yourself in more ways than one! We are all spiritual beings living a human existence.  It is so easy to forget that, and get 'lost' in the physical world.  We need to remember that the world around us is merely a mirror for us to see ourselves. You created this  reality as a playground in which to grow and experience yourself. These reflections of yourself are just signals to help you in the process.  Some life lessons can be hard, and if not recognised can be repeated over and over again until dealt with. Take a look at the people and things in your life. What can you learn from the reflections around you? Remember, the most important thing is to have FUN! Laugh and enjoy the process.

Most of us have problems with the law of attraction at one time or another, I know I have! Discovering the time machine manifestation method really helped me. One of the concepts that I would really struggle with was acting ‘as if’ I had already manifested my desires. I found this particularly difficult with money. How are you supposed to act as if you are financially abundant if your bank account says otherwise? Sometimes this would actually make my financial situation worse! I would stop worrying about money and start spending what little I had, trusting that ‘the universe’ would replace it. This behaviour was of course a fast track to more money worries, with an added helping of guilt for being so reckless with my finances. Acting ‘as if’ we have money to spare when we don’t is not a good idea! So what is the law of attraction trying to show us here? We know that we have to feel in alignment with our desires to manifest them, so how can we do that if physical evidence suggests otherwise?

The number one rule is, the law of attraction attracts to us what WE ARE, not what WE WANT. If we want to become financially successful, we must have the mind-set of financial success. We must become that person with the resources we have right now. This is where the time machine manifestation method comes in. The time machine manifestation method explained You will need to spend about 10 to 15 minutes a day (or longer if you can) vividly imagining your future successful, abundant self. Ask yourself what you are doing, feeling, wearing, living etc. Really enter into that life. How do you feel when you buy things? How do others treat you? What can you do for your loved ones? Look at the world through the eyes and perception of your future self, really immerse yourself into that world. Everything here should feel completely yours, totally deserved by you. You should not feel ‘special’ or ‘lucky’ in anyway. This is where you are meant to be! Totally settle into your future self, feel and think as they do. Once this new personality is ‘locked in’ it’s time to bring yourself back to the present. How you do this is up to you. Some people imagine their future self, stepping into a time machine. You now have the abundant mind-set brought back from the future. This is where the magic happens. With your new found abundant mind-set you can look at your finances in a different way. Realise the potential of investment and opportunity so that your money naturally multiplies. You have the certainty that this will happen, so you do not waste money or time unproductively. One question financially successful people get asked a lot is ‘What would you do if you lost all of your money?’ Of course, their answers vary but they all have one thing in common. They all have a plan of investment and a certainty that they would very soon be financially successful again. In fact, there are many millionaires that have been bankrupt in the past, including Walt Disney and Elton John. Even the US President Donald Trump has filed for corporate bankruptcy 4 times! These people go on to future success because they know that their financial goals are connected to their abundant mind-set, rather than the balance of their bank account. So how would your future, abundant self, behave in your present circumstances? What would you choose to do with your time and money if you had the certainty that you would be abundant? I am pretty sure, like all people with a similar mind-set, you would look after your finances and watch them grow exponentially.

In modern society, it is pretty easy to borrow money to get a fancy watch or a sports car. Unfortunately, it is also pretty easy to accumulate debt. We must learn to see that outward signs of wealth are not necessarily a result of true abundance, but sadly often a sign of insecurity. A truly abundant spirit is only found within. The good news is we now know how to apply this to the law of attraction. To become abundant, you must truly FEEL abundant, know that you are capable of creating the beautiful life you were destined for. You must realise that true abundance does not mean spending money that you do not presently have on material objects.  Money can come and go, be lost and won. Having an abundant mind-set can never leave you or be taken away. It is who you are, you amazing, beautiful thing! Coming into alignment with abundance is your true destiny.

The key to the law of attraction is actually quite an easy process. If you understand it and learn how to implement it step by step, you WILL ALWAYS manifest what you want. It is a law after all!However, when reading about the law of attraction I often see an important step missed out.Let’s have a look at these steps, stripped down to the basics.You ask the Universe, it a clear defined way what you would like to receive.You have faith that your request will be heard and delivered.The Universe delivers you desire.According to this process, all you need is faith that your wish will be answered. You can just stay in a positive frame of mine and await delivery. This is why people get so frustrated with the law of attraction. You look on the bright side of life, keep saying their affirmations and asking but still nothing! Eventually you give up and stop trying to use the law of attraction, not realising that it is the single most powerful way to quickly transform your life. You just need ALL the steps.What most people forget about is INSPIRED ACTION. Once you have decided what you want to manifest, you must take INSPIRED action so that the Universe can deliver it to you! This is the only way the Universe has of giving you what you want. It sends you signals and signs as to how to ‘collect’ or ‘find’ what you want to attract. Everything in this world is in a constant state of flow and movement. We cannot just be still, take no action and expect things to come to us. That is not how it works. This concept is perfectly illustrated in the story of ‘The Drowning Man’.

The Drowning Man A man was stranded on his roof during a flood. He prayed to God to help him.Within minutes a rowboat came by and the rower yelled up to the man on the roof, "Jump in mate, I will save you."The man on the roof shouted down, "Thanks, but God will save me"Reluctantly, the man in the boat left.Next a big motorboat approached the house. The man in the motorboat shouted, "Don’t worry, I can save you."The stranded man replied, "It’s OK, I have a very strong faith in God and he will save me."So the motorboat left.Pretty soon a helicopter spotted the man, and the pilot shouted down to him, "Hold this rope ladder, and I will rescue you."“No, No, I’m fine thanks”, replied the man.  ”Don’t worry about me, I have God on my side”. So the helicopter flew off.Soon after, the flood got worse, rose above the rooftop and the man was drowned. Upon his arrival in Heaven, he was keen to ask God why he had abandoned him. He had such faith that he would be saved! He could not understand why God had let him drown.God looked at him with raised eyebrows. “ I sent you two boats and a helicopter, what more did you want?”This story perfectly shows how INSPIRED ACTION is the key to the law of attraction and needed to get what you want in life!To get the law of attraction working for you, you must learn to listen and interpret the signals that the universe provides. These will usually come as strong feelings, wanting to do something a bit differently than before. This, in a way, is the language of the law of attraction, FEELINGS. You will feel inspired to change something, that will lead to your reality shifting. If you have clearly stated your intentions for your future reality, the Universe will guide you into alignment with it.

Easy ways to create your perfect vision board

At the time of writing this blog, we are about to start a new year. So, as you can imagine, creating vision boards is a hot topic. The new year is a great opportunity to design the life we want to live and re-invent ourselves. A vision board helps us to remember our goals and values. However, the actual process of creating the boards, and deciding what to put on them, can be a bit of a minefield in itself! Where do we begin? Here are my top tips for making the job easier. #1 - It's all about the feeling As I'm sure you know by now, the law of attraction works on feeling abundant. The more you feel as if you a living in alignment with your higher self, the more blessings you will attract. For example, say you want to attract more money into your life. You need to find images of happy, abundant people that you can align with. Maybe they are driving an expensive car, or eating in a fancy restaurant. You automatically know they are wealthy by what they are doing, and looking at their happy faces will make you feel the same way.  Contrast this with putting an image of a pile of money, or a cheque on your vision board. Just looking at money itself is unlikely to inspire the same feelings and emotions. Actually many people have negative emotions linked to money. When you look at your vision board it needs to inspire positive feelings and emotions.

#2 - Don't worry about the format In this age of social media and technology, creating a physical vision board from magazines and photos is no longer your only option. It is possible to use sites like Pinterest and weheartit to collect your favourite online images all in one place. I personally love these sites but they aren't for everyone. Sometimes creating a vision board can seem an over complicated process. If you are feeling overwhelmed, go back to the format you know best. It doesn't matter what everyone else is doing. It is far more important to actually make a start and not worry that your board maybe created differently to other people's. It is exciting to think outside the box. Who says your board has to be online or physical, big or small, colourful or not? Some people use more words and phrases, others more pictures. It's up to you!
#3 - Add people
Vision boards are a collection of images of things that we want to manifest into our lives. However, for the law of attraction to work, you need to be aligned with the feeling of owning whatever you want to manifest. It is a lot easier to tap into those feelings if you can see people already enjoying and owning what you desire. For example, if you would like to go on a luxury cruise, choose images of people enjoying a cruise. Just like the example of money from tip #1, a picture of a cruise ship itself is unlikely to stir much emotion in you. Having people in your pictures will inspire questions in your mind, you will think about how they feel. You will associate with their feelings. Putting people in pictures is the next best thing to putting yourself in the picture. I have known people to cut out images of themselves and place them in different situations. Maybe this would work for you? Sadly, this doesn't work for me as I find it a bit weird and it tends to inspire a fit of giggling rather than feelings of association. Hopefully it will work better for you! One thing is certain, however you do it, having a clear vision and plan for the future is essential. Everybody wants faster manifestation, to live in abundance and have the life they dream of. But what if it seems to be taking it's sweet old time to become a reality? This is the number one frustration I hear from people. They are doing everything right, but the law of attraction doesn't seem to be working. Please remember, the law of attraction always works, especially it seems with doubt and worry! If you are feeling as if your vision will never appear, then it won't. You must start to look for signs of confirmation that it is in the process, rather than telling yourself that it isn't here yet. You need to stop manifesting a state of WANTING, and move into a state of having. So that being said, here are my top three ways of quickly aligning your vision with reality, and achieve faster manifestation. Feel your dream We are told that one of the most important steps in the manifestation process is to visualise your goals. Imagine that you are already living the life that you want to create. However, Vision is just one of our five senses... If you want to really get into the state of believing and creating your reality, you need to feel it too. When you are visualising yourself, add in sounds and smells. How does it feel? What can you touch? Can you taste the air around you? Remember you brain can not tell the difference between a strong vision and reality, so create as many details as possible.

Change your brainwaves Whether we are alert or asleep, our brains constantly emit electrical signals. These patterns are called brain waves. Scientists have identified five different types of brain wave, Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta and Gamma.  The brain waves we are interested in are Theta waves, 4-7 hz. Our brain goes into this theta state during meditation.  This is also referred to as the Tibetan state of consciousness. To manifest clearly and quickly, this is your ideal state. If you can spend just 20 minutes a day in meditation, you will train your brain to go into this theta state easily. Detach from the result This is a really hard pill to swallow, but sadly true. The more you need or want your desire, the harder it is to manifest. Some people are truly desperate for money, but by living in this mindset, all they create is more desperation for money, not money itself. You must be in alignment for your vision. If you put it on a pedestal, it is separate from you, not part of you. If you are feeling unworthy of your vision, you will never align with it.  The secret to faster manifestation is to totally eliminate the need and want from your goals. Don't see yourself as needing money and abundance, see it as your birth right. It is what you were born for, to live an abundant life. You were meant to thrive, not just survive. I know this can be super hard at first to think this way, especially when things in your currant reality seem to suggest otherwise. When reality doesn't serve you, you need to align with a better one. You are an awesome spiritual being full of cosmic energy, tap into your core essence and create yourself a better 3D experience. I know you can do it. You deserve it!

How to stop falling back into your old vibration

I have always been fascinated with developing my consciousness and expanding to the best version of who I can be. However, there are many things along this path that can easily knock you back into your old vibration. Especially at the start, when being in your higher vibration is new to you, it can be difficult to maintain. This is because we are naturally bias towards what is easy and comfortable for us.    But why is it 'easy' and 'comfortable' to be at a lower vibration? To feel stressed and negative all the time? The truth is , it's not! BUT getting out of that rut can be hard, if you let it. You see, it all depends on the stories we tell ourselves. Our beliefs create our reality. If we believe that raising our vibration is going to be hard, then it will be. It is actually an easy process, you just need to let go of expectation and enjoy the process. We create our reality with our thoughts, feelings and beliefs. Every possible reality is already in existence waiting for you to align with it. This has been proven by quantum physics.  Quantum experiment in space confirms that reality is what you make it

To prevent yourself from falling back into your old vibration, you need to truly align yourself with your new, better version of reality. There are several things you can do to make the process easier. Put yourself first It is really important to make yourself and your goals a priority. You must always be choosing them over things that do not serve you. Of course I am not advocating becoming mean and selfish, but you need to set boundaries if you want to achieve your goals. Do not spend your life pleasing others and neglecting yourself, otherwise before you know it, you will have run out of time. For example, if you have made a commitment to meditate more, make sure you honour that. Do not let others encroach upon this time. Let them know, gently but firmly, you will be there for them after you have completed your meditation. You are creating a strong signal that this is who you are now, a person who meditates. Friends and family will respect your time, and you more, for it.  Surround yourself with positive people There is a saying that we are the sum of the five people we spend the most time with. One of the quickest ways of falling back into your old vibration is through people. Be very aware of the people and influences around you, as they really shape your life. When I was expanding my vision of myself, I would watch lots of YouTube videos made by spiritual life coaches. I wanted to raise my vibration to a similar level. These people really inspired me and helped shape my future.  Try and find people with similar goals and beliefs as you. If you do not have any in your immediate friendship group, try looking online, or join some like-minded groups and communities. You will soon find that you begin to naturally align with these people, their thoughts and beliefs. You will also align with their success. Create a routine This is perhaps the most important thing you can do to help you stay on track. Create a morning routine that will set you up for the day and stop you falling back into your old vibration and patterns. You must live in alignment with your future vision of yourself. For me personally, daily meditation really helped. At first I found meditating quite difficult, as I have a very active mind. However, after practising it daily, it gradually got easier and easier. As I was reaffirming my beliefs daily, my 'script' that I had created about myself changed. I went from a person who couldn't sit still for 5 minutes, to one who could easily meditate. Finding a meditation that works for you, and committing to it, is one of the best gifts you can give to yourself. I often listen to the abundance miracle tone  or The twilight sleep manifestation. Both of these are free to download. There are loads of other meditation tracks on YouTube as well. Raising your vibration will lead to you living a life full of joy and fulfilment.
