OUTSIDER FANS OF TUMBLR I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!

I’m really excited for the new musical for the Outsiders, and I so desperately want to watch it. However, flying to New York… doable for me, but like do I really want to spend almost 1k dollars on not even a 3-day trip?? Not really.

So, my question, is if anyone knows if they will livestream a performance? I tried looking for it but I can’t find anything. Or, if there will be a pro shot for the public?

And I’m so desperate that I’m gonna ask, for those who are going — are y’all gonna try and b00tleg a recording? Bc I will actually fall in love with you. I just really want to watch this damn show 😭😭

jack kelly hyperfixates on cowboy culture as a gay artsy teen in new york city and functionally knows how to rope a calf despite living in an apartment in manhattan. he knows all the steps to setting up a saddle on a horse. he has only seen horses in central park. he watches old westerns until three am when he should be doing his math homework. he listens to old country music and soundtracks from cowboy movies and daydreams while staring out the window on the subway. he looks into buying a pair of boots but then realizes they won’t look good with his jeans and then realizes if he needs new jeans then he needs a belt with a fancy buckle but if he gets that then he also needs a pearl snap and a cowboy hat and he feels embarrassed about looking stupid on the streets of new york so he settles for buying a tshirt with a cowboy on it and that’s fine that’ll hold him over. painting scenes of cowboys in the desert, cowboys in the plains, cowboys on the streets in big cities and by his fifth or sixth painting he does that even have to look at reference photos of horses anymore bc he’s studied them so intensely. jack kelly, the big city cowboy wannabe

This review of The Outsiders musical from the NY Times is so funny to me, like did the actors/writers/whoever make Johnny and Ponyboy so gay this reviewer thought they should get hatecrimed??

#keep in mind this review is from like. march of 2023 so theres probably been quite a few changes made since then for the official debut #like i know another review from around that time said that there was no orchestra which we know is no longer true from the song curently out #but still. that is VERY funny #i am extremely nervous about this though. imo the outsiders does not seem like a story that would fit well as a musical #its far too subtle and based in realism #dgmw i love musicals but theyre very bombastic and the outsiders is quite the opposite #who knows. hopefully it'll surprise me and it'll be really good #the outsiders #the outsiders musical #funny text tag

Much Ado About Nothing: Count Claudio falls in love with Hero, the daughter of his host. Hero's cousin, Beatrice, and Benedict are each duped into believing the other is in love with them. Claudio is deceived by a malicious plot and denounces Hero as unchaste before they marry. Benedict wins Beatrice’s love defending her cousin’s honor, and to his surprise, Claudio is reunited with Hero, who he believed to be dead.

Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead: When his beloved beagle is destroyed after a rabid rampage, CB is plunged into such a depression that a literal raincloud starts to follow him around. Suddenly introspective, he is no longer satisfied with his high school status as a good-looking bully. Writing to a childhood pen pal who has never written back, CB describes his daily interactions with his community: his angst-ridden sister, aggressive Matt, mean girls Marcy and Tricia, and stoned philosopher Van. When he unexpectedly connects with Beethoven, a childhood friend, CB thinks he’s found both a relationship and a means to rebel against his predictable, doormat persona… but he may have to lose everything to gain peace of mind.

if you have to pick one shakespeare play please let it be this one

Two idiots. Absolute morons. Neither of them like each other but get pranked so hard that they end up marrying. Also: Catherine Tate and David Tennant (of course). I love them. Any casting is brilliant, ALL the characters are fools.

A silly little play about a silly little group of people. Also it has enemies to lovers, some very extra people, and is a goldmine for good insults

if you watched this and didn't love Beatrice and Benedick I don't know what to say

The original enemies to lovers, “god that I were a man I would eat his heart in the marketplace” goes harder than any line ever, it’s also really funny

It's a very funny play about two people who do not wish to fall on love(Benedick and Beatrice) but during the seven days before the wedding of Hero and Claudio, the rest of the characters decide to make Benedick and Beatrice fall in love. In the end, they do end up falling in love with eachother.

Beatrice and Benedict are the blueprint for so many couples that came later

when i get into a ride the cyclone production as mischa im going to canonize talia is real so quickly. my phone background is going 2 be the person playing talia im going to have them send me like five texts before each show so the notifications are on my lockscreen im going to look so frantic when im looking for wifi ill wear an engagement ring and a heartshaped locket maybe ill even wear one of those 'touch and its partner lights up' bracelets for long distance couples and tap it all night
