Within canon:

Worst mom award goes to Dream Witch. If she isn't a hallucinated identity switch for a very human survivor that is.

The only reason Yidhra would be getting shit for Mother's Day is because either a 20 yr old dumbass kid needed "inspiration" and did a witch ritual, your cultist village fcked up and summoned the wrong god (ie. Her) so she hijacked y'all, or she just wanted to fuck with you and gave your family mad dreams that you had to do something about it.

One of her many names may be the "Earth Mother," but she doesn't really care about her followers.

Best dad - Leo. He became a depressed drunkard after the factory bs, but his love for his daughter is real and he's still the best dad in IDV.

Worst dad award goes to Annie's jackass father who blamed his own daughter for his wife's death, and only because he lost his "muse." And schemed with IDV's equivalent of Hans from Frozen to act as Annie's perfect partner just so they can marry, seize her mother's inheritance, and split it among themselves.

Can you make senes of the gardener’s latest letter because it confuses me on her relations page it says she understood her father and planned to avenge him but in the latest letter it seems she forgot who her father was i don’t get it

There are two sides to the Gardener.

Back in White Sand Street Asylum, Lisa Beck received electroshock therapy, which can change the brain chemistry enough to induce long term memory loss and personality changes. It's likely that this gave birth to "Emma Woods," a more upbeat identity that further distanced herself from her previous identity as Lisa Beck and the associated abandonment trauma.

But that doesn't mean Lisa Beck - the girl whose mother left her, father put into an orphanage, and the nice volunteer doctor who cared for her disappeared - isn't gone. That jaded, vengeful girl who misses her family and doesn't want to be alone is still there. That's why Gardener would overly attach herself to comfort items (Mr. Scarecrow) and later to people (the Doctor) because the experimental drugs and severe stress would get to her.

If you read her Experiment File, the Writer (who's only human and biased) thinks that Gardener is a schemer pretending to be sweet and innocent. But in her latest letter (which isn't a diary page so who knows if the Experiment File Writer read it or not), it shows that the Lisa Beck inside Gardener is acting out beneath the Emma Woods identity and is ready to bring hell on earth.

The TLDR: Emma Woods and Lisa Beck exist inside Gardener. Emma Woods does not know Hell Ember, but Lisa Beck recognizes her father.

opinion on what role is the best to play at first as a beginner? because i've heard so many stories of people who chose to play a rescuer at first, then turning into decoder but always dying bc of the rescuer instincts kicking in LMFAO

Strangely enough, Decoder.

Because if you start off as Rescue main, you're going to have this weird thing where you take roles super seriously. You're gonna be like "why is the decoder going for rescue, oh my god, I'M the MAIN RESCUER" when in reality, at one point, everyone's gotta learn how to rescue and rescue properly.

Starting off in a Kiter role is acceptable, but everyone's a Kiter by default with the way the game works. The Kiter characters just have more effective tools as their disposal, but that can make you become over-reliant on your items instead of training on the basics.

The Support role is a good role because if you're really thinking about Support, you're thinking more in teamplay. On the other hand, you can go too much into it and become the funky Doctor that keeps bodyblocking at the start of the match with 5 ciphers remaining.

So Decoder role because it's the one role that will get you on the basics the fastest. You WILL learn how to kite with less tools than others because the Hunter wants you out first. You WILL be selfish and are allowed to be selfish because you are the main Decoder. No one is going to expect you to pull off the crazy rescues, the 60 second kite, and the godly Owl timing support. Which means, less performance anxiety pressure on you as a noobie.

All you gotta do is know how to pop the cipher if it's on you to pop it :D
