how old are you :D and any tips for baby shifters XD
heyy!
sorry this took so long for me to answer... i'd prefer not to answer the first question, and the biggest tip i have is to listen to subliminals while you try to shift, as they are a big big help!

my biggest flex is that i made this quiz over a year ago and people still take it regularly <3

Hello Ash! 💕💕I’ve never shifted before but I want to try but I have doubts
Do you feel physical touch ( kiss, hug, hand holding , holding an object , being pushed , maybe you got an injury or tasting food) in your dr?
Maybe also feelings?(sadness, when your heart sinks because of a breakup, Fear etc.)
When you shift to a dr, is it obligatory to change your appearance And/Or name?
Can I have the same appearance but different name ?
Can a change my appearance a bit and have the same name? Or a totally different appearance but same name?
hi!! thanks so much for the ask love <3
ill answer each of these questions in as much detail as possible but remember i haven't yet shifted, and i'm not a professional. all the information i have is from my own research!
yes, you do feel physical touch in your DR! kissing, hugging, hand-holding, all of the above! remember that shifting is projecting your conscious mind into another physical body in a different reality. so yes, you can feel everything!
yes, you can also feel feelings!
no, you do not have to change your name/appearance! it's all up to you if you want to or not, but it's not required.
yes, you can if you want!
you can totally change your appearance and keep your name or vice versa! you can alter your name/appearance as much as you like. remember that since there are infinite realities, that reality where you look slightly different but have the same name already exists, so its 100% an option for you to shift there.
hopefully this helped! happy shifting :)

Hey, this is coming from someone who didn't shift yet like you, I just wanna know what are the realities your planning on shifting to because I find it really interesting to know what crazy universes people come up with or want to go to? You don't have to answer, of course. I'd say one of mine is bway academy, basically a school for the children of all my favorite musical theatre ships.
hii :) i'd love to answer this question!
right now i have 3 DRs that i'm trying to shift to. the one i've been trying to shift to the longest has been my Supernatural DR. the other two are my Marvel DR and a ST DR that's still in the works!

Hiiii!!🙌✨ i hope you are doing good! I have some questions about shifting and I was hoping you couod answer cause I haven’t found someone who could answer me 😭😅
Does shifting take time from your cr?
For example ,I’m going to shift tonight. An in your dr, you were hanging out with your friends for 3 days. When you go back to your cr, the time that passed was one night sleep or 3 days?
While you are shifting , what happens in your cr?
Can you control what happens in your shifting?
Good day!!🙌✨
hii! im happy to answer your questions :)
keep in mind that i have NOT yet shifted, and i am not experienced. all my information is from others' experiences and research i have done. i recommend doing research on these topics as well!
question one: you can script how much time passes in your CR! for example, say you wanted to shift for a week in your DR. in your script, you can write the ratio of time in your DR to time in your CR. so, you would script that one day in your DR is equivalent to one hour in your CR. so when you get back from one week in your DR, only 7 hours have passed in your CR.
question two: while you are shifting, your "clone" takes over your body. when you shift, your conscious mind is traveling to your DR, but you leave your subconscious behind in your CR. you can script that your clone does your daily tasks, like your homework or chores. so when you go to your DR, you're leaving your subconscious mind behind to take care of things in your CR.
question three: yes, you can control what happens when you shift! you can do this with a script. in a script, you can write down scenarios you want to happen in your DR, items you want to have, etc. for example, if you're shifting to harry potter, you can script that you are the seeker on the quidditch team, and you catch the golden snitch and win the game. i have a scripting post right here that you can use as a template!
i hope this helps! AGAIN, I HAVE NOT YET SHIFTED, SO SOME INFORMATION COULD BE WRONG! i highly encourage you to do some research of your own.
happy shifting :)

Hi! the other day I dreamed of 2 people from my rd, I didn't expect it because before I went to sleep I was like "I want to go, but if it doesn't work it's okay." Should I take it as a sign?
helloo :)
i'm going to say that i'm not sure. dreams are fickle things, but we know that an event from your day can influence your dreams. if you consumed some media about the people from your DR in your current reality, they might pop up in your dream.
i personally wouldn't take this as a sign - but don't let this discourage you! remember that i'm not a professional and that signs look different to everyone.
shifting is all about belief. i suggest that you should stop say "i want to go, but if it doesn't work it's okay", because you're subconsciously manifesting that it won't work out. therefore, you don't shift because you think you won't. start using affirmations like "i want to shift" and "i am shifting", because then you're manifesting to shift!
i hope this helps! happy shifting <3

hi so uh I have 2 questions. First, for the kiyoko method, whenever I have to count to 17, I keep getting distracted, so any tips ro stop that? And second, how do i shift to a waiting room? Sorry if my questions aren't understandable, I'm horrible at explaining. Anyways ty!!
helloo :)
i always get distracted while counting, so something you can do is picture physical numbers in your head. so when you're counting to seventeen, imagine a big, colorful "1" in your head, then "2", and so on.
i have a post about shifting to a waiting room (it's also an ask) but basically you can just modify a method to help you shift there - check it out here: https://www.tumblr.com/blog/view/just-another-gen-z-shifter/688252297693872128?source=share
hopefully this helped! happy shifting :)

hiii! So uhh I have tried searching on how to shift to ur waiting room, but I can't find anything. And so I was wondering how you shift to it. Like is there specific methods for it or no? Sorry if my English is kinda bad!!
hiii!
so there are no specific methods for shifting to a waiting room, but if you wanted you could create a method specifically for that purpose!
otherwise, you could just modify any other method to help you shift to just your waiting room.
for example, you could alter the julia method, and instead of saying "i am shifting to my DR" you can say "i am shifting to my waiting room".
hopefully this helped! happy shifting <3

hi!! Im shifting to my stranger things DR where I have powers. To get these powers I may have a bit of a traumatic past. Is there any way I can script that I dont remember my traumatic past/ that it doesnt affect me?
yes, you can script that you won't remember your traumatic past - just remember that this might affect how you act in your DR.
of course, it's hard to imagine not knowing about your traumatic past in your CR, but once you're in your DR, you're going to wake up and have powers without knowing why, and it might cause you to look for answers - and inadvertently traumatize your DR self.
just be careful with what you script! of course, it's all up to you, but your safety/mental health comes first.
happy shifting <3

Hey! Im sorry if im bothering you but i would love to ask you a question about scripting.i wanted to ask if for the script you could skip scripting your personality ,every time that there is a scripting templete or something like that there is always that part and i wanted to ask if it is really that important and if i could just not write it.im sorry if it is a dumb question but it was bothering me. Thanks in advance, and please don't mind my bad english it is not my first language.
you're not bothering me at all, don't worry!! <3
scripting is really all up to you! you don't even have to make a script if you don't want to. if you have an idea of what your personality is like in your DR, then you don't have to script it. you can skip it if you like!
thanks for the ask and happy shifting :)

Could you explain what exactly waiting rooms are?
basically, waiting rooms are a lobby between your CR (current reality) and your DR (desired reality)! you can make your waiting room look however you want it to (i have a post here for some inspo).
some people make their waiting rooms a midpoint between their CR and DR, and aim to shift there. a waiting room is helpful if you're torn between DRs and can't decide which one to shift to! you can add multiple "portals" or "gateways" to your DRs in your waiting room, so when you get there, you can decide!
hope this helped! happy shifting :)

Is it weird/unhealthy that shifting is my only goal in life right now? Like I don't know if I'm just depressed or if it's actually unhealthy to do so and just weakens my chances of actually shifting to my DR. At the same time I'm determined I'll shift to my DR but I also worry I'll never do it because I'm so obsessed with it. The last time I tried to actively shift to my DR, I felt like someone was touching my shoulder or just near me like it was a ghost, but that experience was in August and now it's the 20th of December and I haven't tried shifting since then 🥲
bro i literally have the same problem. personally, i think that it is a little unhealthy to have shifting as your ONLY goal in life. i'm not a therapist or a psychiatrist of any sort, but you may be using shifting as a coping mechanism/escape method. i can understand that because i have the same problem too - i constantly try to shift to escape the reality i live in.
now, i could be wrong, but i think many shifters feel the same way you do. i'm not shaming you, but i want to let you know that there are healthier ways to cope with depression. shifting can help ease the pain, but it never really goes away.
the best advice i can give you is to give yourself different goals. an easy one is just toughing it out to the next day. if your goal is to make it to the next day, that gives you something to look forward to every day.
like i said before, shifting is a wonderful thing but there comes a point where you need to focus on yourself mentally and physically in your CR before you can try shifting again. i recommend working on yourself - maybe reading some self-help books, doing yoga, going out with friends, watching Netflix in the dark, taking naps - whatever helps you mentally. once you feel that you have taken care of yourself in your OR, then you can shift to your DR.
i hope that makes sense! take care of yourself and happy shifting <3

5 tips i received as a baby shifter, and continue to use today
shoutout to the anon who asked for this btw!! obviously idk who it is but tysm for the idea; i meant to do this a good while back but never had the motivation to make a full list lol. anyways, here are some of the things that've remained constant for me!
(1) FINDING WHAT IS COMFORTABLE
there were some accounts saying this, at the start. however, this was still at that point of 2020-2021, with a lot of people saying that there's a set rule for so and so when it comes to shifting ('you can't do this without this', 'do this first', etc). i had been hesitant in actually being comfortable when shifting—i used to think that we all had to go through some pain just to get the things we wanted. so, i tried to do what felt easy and right for me, and I've found that i actually shift easier with it!
(2) TAKING BREAKS
you shouldn't overdo yourself! I've mentioned this countless times, but it's proven effective for me and others. we all have moments where we get too desperate, or overexcited, whether or not we realise it. remember that shifting can take a toll on your mind. reflect, do self-care, or do something else you enjoy. take a breather.
(3) THE POWER OF YOUR MIND
i don't think i can stress this one enough. just because you're not fully shifting at the moment, it doesn't mean you don't have the power to, or that you never will. i wouldn't call it blind faith, and it's not always about seeing in order to believe. but that's just it—the only limitation that holds you back is your mind! it's alright to have doubts or question some things during shifting, but you shouldn't let them overcome you. don't ignore them, rather acknowledge them. make your peace, accept it, then move on.
(4) ASK FOR ANGEL NUMBERS
I'm not gonna lie, i also thought this was bullshit at some point. i had been in no way spiritually-inclined, nor was i ever interested in looking into it, until i heard that they truly helped with shifting. or, at least, they gave you guidance and motivation. i remember feeling slightly insulted that a lot of other people have been getting this sign, and i hadn't. long story short: i tried to humble myself, and asked, and i did receive them. i get them on the daily now, and to me, it serves as a reminder to keep going, even on the chances that I'm not able to shift.
(5) JUST GO.
stop comparing your own shifting journey to others'. stop looking at memes and shitposts. stop researching. at least for now. go, get into position, and set your sights on the prize. you're not going to get into it without your full purpose. break your task down in small steps, be kind to yourself, or simply get prepared; just go. think of it as a roblox speedrun. even when you're careful with jumping, you can still make mistakes and fall. so go all out when shifting, and simply be.
