So, I’ve been really looking forward to writing a season 2 AU where Elijah manages to take Elena in 2x08, but I’ve just had such a great urge to write a multi chapter fic post the sacrifice, where Elijah actually kills Klaus. I already have a one shot on this AU, but it’s honestly not leaving my head. This idea has me in a grip and I don’t think it’ll leave me until I write it.

The moment I get some time, I’ll be writing that then. I’m not sure if anyone will be interested since I already have a one shot on it, but I’m really interested in this.

Well......I won't say that Elena will be introduced to Elijah in the next chapter in the past. But, in the next chapter that's set in the past, Elena will be formally introduced to a certain Mikaelson. Although, she'll be introduced to Elijah too, it won't be this quick.

But - I totally agree with you! I'm really looking forward to Elena and Elijah meeting in the past too. I love writing them in any setting, and to write them while Klaus literally has kidnapped Elena will be a special kind of fun.

As for a sneak peak, I wish I could! I've unfortunately been swamped in work and without wifi (I should actually be making a presentation right now), so I just have like two paragraphs written - which I wrote last night. But I might post a preview when the chapter is almost ready, if you guys want it.

Make it Holy is officially one of my favorite fics! I’m obsessed! Could you give us some insight into Klaus’s thoughts in the latest chapter because I NEED to know what he is thinking! Also I was wondering if before the dinner party, his plan was to use Elena for the sacrifice but turn her into a vampire so they could be together. Your work is truly amazing!

OMG, thank you so much for this! Work has been downright gruelling lately, and these kinda asks and messages really help make the day better.

I'm not sure that I can tell you everything that was going through Klaus' head during the dinner, mainly because some of it is spoiler-y, but I think the moment Klaus gets to that dinner, and sees Elena's apprehension (because she's finally figuring out the truth), he thinks she's in on whatever Samantha's planning.

As is mentioned in the chapter, Klaus is well aware of Samantha and Marianna being vampire hunters, and has the inkling that they might find out about him at some point. When he sees that Elena is looking at him differently, isn't as easy to fall under his spell as usual, he begins thinking that she knows the truth too. The other thing is that Samantha has the wine spiked with vervain, thinking it'll affect Klaus, but he has grown a tolerance towards it throughout his life, and the moment he tastes the vervain, coupled with Elena's demeanour, he jumps to the worse conclusion possible and thinks she's involved in the plot against him.

He knows that the vervain and the wooden stakes, and pretty much nothing Samantha and Marianna can do will kill him, but he's just so mad at Elena, so mad at her betrayal, that he gives into his anger. His anger that Elena would betray him, that she'd essentially pick Samantha over him (nevermind that Samantha is family and he has been lying to her), that she thinks she can just kill him and go back to George - it all comes to a head and he kills Samantha. He hates that Elena even asks him to spare Samantha's life when she surely never tried to spare his life, didn't try to stop the attempt on his life, and kills Samantha.

And then, God, his anger when she runs - it's truly something else, as is his anger when he thinks she still loves George. It's the reason he goes back and makes Elena watch as George turns into a werewolf for the first time. He's literally just doing it to be petty.

As for whether Klaus was planning to turn Elena into a vampire, at the risk of revealing too much, no, he wasn't. The sacrifice is too important to risk anything, and he needs it too much, so he wasn't thinking about that then. That doesn't mean it won't change later though.

Omg, these asks and reactions to my fics never bother me! They’re the highlight of my day! I have them saved for when I have a bad day so I can go back and reread.

And yes! He did admit his intentions from the start! He wanted to steal Elena away right since the beginning, but he decided to play with her instead - part of the reason I’d that she told him ‘Nik’ wasn’t a special enough name for him.

And oh god, yes, Klaus is hot and mean (which may or may not be my type) and he did finally steal his girl away.

I can’t tell you how much it warms me up that you’re rereading the fic! That’s the reason I store the first arc the way I did, and I’m glad someone’s interested in rereading. I wonder what other hidden clues you’ll pick on reread, but I’d love to hear all about them here! You can always talk to me about Holy, I literally got up in the middle of the night and started plotting a scene.

Interesting. He's a good actor here, yet he reacted when she touched her necklace. Could there be something special about it or am I overeating? Btw this new chapter was perfection, thank you sm😭

Ooh, that's an interesting question! I don't think you're overreacting at all, there's definitely something up with that necklace, because while he's a great liar, the necklace unsettles him.

The thing with the necklace is that Klaus almost sees it as a brand. He has branded Elena as his with that necklace and her acceptance of it is as good as an acceptance of him. But yes, there's something else about that necklace which is important too, that Elena, and by extension, the reader, doesn't know yet.

What is your favourite work to write and what is your favourite work (from anyone or yourself) to reread sometimes?

Anon is very interesting too, I love this question!

My favourite work to write might be Holy or Irresistible or Monsters. One of the big three as I call them in my head. They're all my favourites precisely because of how different they are. Holy is planned as meticulously as I can manage. It's always interesting to compare the overall outline vs the chapter outline vs the actual chapter.

Irresistible is my baby, and the dynamic between Klaus and Elena has evolved so much that it's just fun to write and explore, to see where they'll go next. Monsters is all about my sad girl hours, and I love wallowing in them, they give me space to be depressed without feeling guilty.

My favourite work to reread is a bit of a tricky question, I'd say one of @sevensistersofsussex works. Most of her fics are downloaded on my books app to read whenever the mood strikes. Also @kehlana-wolhamonao3 The Heiress (the delicious angst of love during wartime). From my own fics, I really love reading In The End (It Will Be Just Us), it's the only one of my fics I can read without cringing, and it makes me want to write a full length long fic about elejah and their co-dependency.
