Hello! My name is Kiki and I need your help. I’m planning a semester abroad and I need at least $3000 just to support myself over that four month period as I am unsure if I will be able to actually get a job for that semester abroad. I’ve been working and saving this whole year to make sure that I’ve had enough but I’m still short by a lot.
On top of that I have to buy my plane ticket and pay tuition to my home university in order to not lose out on gaining course credit  So far I only have a about a 10% of what I need over all. I’m also still working but you can help! By donating to my YouCaring Campaign or my Paypal you can help me make ends meet this next semester. Even one dollar can help me so much and give me so much peace of mind. Even if you can’t donate sharing this can also help me out a lot.
Thank you!

I used to be jealous of her for getting to travel as a model. Now I'm in awe of her as an entrepreneur and advocate.

When I saw this guy on my facebook feed I was appalled, not just by the blatant black face but also because it showed up as people I knew in Philippines shared it and were impressed by him! Thankfully people are recognizing the issue and commenting on it, and trying to get him to stop.

ALL of these are Blackface… Why is his account still up? It doesn’t matter that he’s a professional make up artist,It doesn’t matter that he’s doing it as “art,” he is literally profiting for portraying black women. His IG is @ jkbonito please report it.

so i think i mentioned how my entire junior class got to sit in our auditorium and listen to ruby bridges talk about racism for two hours yesterday, but i didn’t talk about one of the most powerful moments in the presentation?
so we got to the end—like, the last twenty minutes—and she asked for questions. and we had a few standard questions (”how do you feel about people taking their education for granted?” “what would you say to the people who stood outside and protested you going to school if you met them again?”) but there was this kid waiting in the question line fidgeting nervously. and everybody could see it?? when he finally got up to ask his question, he asked her about her opinion on the events on ferguson.
and she mentioned her sons again, who she talked about earlier in the presentation. and then she told us about her son who was murdered. and she talked about the mothers who had their children taken away and how if you took a life unjustly and forsake your role as a keeper of the peace, you should be punished. and then she talked about how everybody chooses a side in this thing; good and evil.
and then she said that racism today is scarier than it was to her when she was growing up.
and the entire junior class was silent.

Interviewer: Can we hear a little bit of [the Jessica Huang accent] right now? Constance Wu: No! [No?] Yeah, it’s not a party trick.
