This new timeline has significantly lighter tone than the rest of the series. Noone died and became supernatural. Shijima hosts an art gallery. Amane grew up as science teacher and gifted watch to Tsuchigomori. Akane is the last time keeper, but his memories will fade soon. Mitsuba is human. There are no school mysteries. I wonder is Kou's and Mitsuba's parents are still alive.

Why not just keep it this way?

All conflicts have been resolved. Right?
