  EXCERPT: Did it make you a bad friend if you were completely, a hundred percent envious of that friend? Yes? No? Kind of? I figured it was somewhere in between. That’s what I was mulling over as I watched Ivy Morgan brush thick, red curls over her shoulder, laughing at something her boyfriend Ren Owens had said to her. At least I wasn’t envious of that—their love. Okay, well, that wasn’t entirely true. Pretty sure anyone who was as single as me would be envious of all that warm and fuzzy that was passed back and forth with each long look or casual brush of skin. The two could barely tear their gazes away from one another to eat the dinner we’d grabbed at the cute little diner inside the shopping center on Prytania Street. I honest to God couldn’t be happier for them. They’d been through so much—way more than two people should ever have to go through to be together, and here they were, stronger and more in love than ever, and they deserved that happiness. ok so Leia was heading to Obi-wan before the Battle of Scarif, and before she ever knew she or anyone would have the plans. It wasn’t just a last resort, “vader’s bout to get us we gotta go somewhere” decision. the fact that she was going to Obi-wan is probably the reason she was with the rebels and not on Alderaan.

so think in the context that a) Bail was knowingly sending his daughter, who has the genes of one of the most powerful force users ever, to go get a Jedi, b) Bail knew that he was sending the biological child of Anakin to Anakin’s former master and friend, c) Obi-wan definitely would knows who Leia is, d) Bail knows that Obi-wan is keeping an eye on Luke.

You've been warned * * * Really it took me so long to read this. I'm pretty sure everyone has read it by now. * * * Reactions! 1. I knew it! Parabatai that fall in love are TOO POWERFUL that is why it's not allowed. This was totally my theory. However, did not anticipate the whole going crazy, killing all your family and loved ones, and the world exploding part. Question is: Do they strip their marks as punishment? Or to save them from the destruction the power causes? And I'm not convinced that just because things did not go well historically does not mean it's not possible now. (Ex: no such thing as being shadowhunter and warlock, warlocks can't have children, you can't unbecome a downworlder, etc.) RULES WERE MADE TO BE BROKEN. Jemma forever. 2. Simon Lovelace (Lewis) is NOT the lost herondale as I predicted. I still feel like it COULD be possible but clearly the rest of this story is going to be about Kit being the Lost Herondale. I'm very excited since they've been teasing this for awhile now. 3. I'm like 99.9999% certain that what Alec and Magnus have adopted another warlock child and named him Raphael! SO CUTE! This is what Alec went to go "take care of" in the beginning of the book. Can't wait to hear that whole story! 4. Currently feeling all the feels for Emma and Julian and I'm having flashbacks to Will Herondale (seriously why would Tessa tell Emma to do the EXACT THING that Will did to everyone when she knew how messed up everything was), head is spinning about that last line of the epilogue, and omg MARK BLACKTHORN "Why lie?" Is killing me.
