We have reached a point where we can not have one homogenized narrative, one view of the future, a singular idea of what constitutes a good life, even though we have inherited certain monolithic cultural, social, and political ways of thinking about the world. This monolithic narrative has become increasingly untenable and can no longer hold us... That's why there are multiple insurgencies around us--political, intellectual, philosophical, economic. There is a search for alternatives.

“The work of art must seize upon you, wrap you up in itself, carry you away. It is the means by which the artist conveys his passion; it is the current which he puts forth which sweeps you along in his passion.”
