bughead fic preview: life's a b*tch, now so am I

anxious writer warning: I wrote this before the girls showcased their fabulous Halloween costumes, so now I'm having second thoughts about posting this fic with bughead in batverse costumes...but I did hint at Dark Betty for Halloween so at least enjoy this preview! ~~~

Lights shimmer off the pool water and Betty’s leather catsuit. Her heels clack across the tiles. Each step brings her closer to the darkness, to the water’s edge.

Jughead slips in after her. He’s such a lean little contradiction. Leather over a hoodie. Combat boots and a beanie. Her brave little sacrifice came with his own knife.

“What are you doing here, Betty?” He’s so damned confident–and she’s barely Betty, in here.

“I needed a bath,” she deadpans, then fake-licks her hand and paws at herself, much like a cat.

He chuckles and shakes his head. “Is this the part I’m supposed to say you’re a dirty girl?”

She shivers with anticipation at the thought of playing with him. He likes to eat. But could that insatiable tongue make her clean?
