12/30/2023
Probably last run for 2023, did 7.2 miles on some beautiful trails and back roads. I got anchest cold 2 weeks ago so longest run since getting sick, felt a little hard but glad i did it.
I tried posting 2 weeks ago but for some reason it didn't upload. I had a really good week that week, a couple double runs. 2 trail runs just under 40 miles total for the week and then got sick 😮‍💨. Feeling better now, so im excited to start getting back into it. Im training for a frostbite 10k in February! Hoping to work on speed 🏃‍♀️.

Kept meaning to post after my 50k race, but got busy and just had some stuff going on. So this is my recap I guess/update of what im working towards now.
So my Ultra marathon was October 21st which happened to be on my 29th birthday, which was so fun! Longest training run i did was 25 miles 2 weeks before the race. We found out we were expecting baby #3 which we were so excited about! I wanted to talk with my ob to make sure they thought it was ok to do. I had trained all summer, so they gave the ok but hubby and I decided it would be safer to not do the whole distance. I did 18 miles, as it was a 5k loop that you just do as many times as you can in 6 hrs. It rained the whole time but it was SO much fun! Met 2 amazing strong ladies who I had the pleasure to run with till i was done. Beautiful trails and just a wonderful experience! Definitely would love to do it again!
Long story short we found out we had a missed miscarriage a couple weeks ago. I was over 10 weeks but found out baby had passed weeks before. Very rough thing to go through, makes my heart break so much for everyone who has had to go through any loss. We are moving forward and are just grateful for our 2 beautiful girls! I was afraid maybe it was because of my running. But my ob reassured me that running can not cause a miscarriage. So i am just trying to move forward.
I am running again, trying to get back into more of a routine. Running brings such joy and peace to me. Im sure other runners can relate, its my happy place to think. I did a turkey trot on Thanksgiving and have a fun Christmas 10k this Saturday.
Im back at trying to lose the last bit of weight. I am 177lbs, my goal for right now is 172 but ultimately i would love to be 165-167 or just more toned and to fit into my clothes pre kids 😅. Just trying to make an exercise routine and having a calorie deficit works really nice for me. My brother and I are doing a challenge losing 10lbs by Christmas. Im half way there!
I want to find another running goal to work towards as I enoy the schedule and just look forward to having something to work for. Though with the time of year here in Michigan im not sure im brave enough to run a race in the snowy months 😂. Maybe i should focus on toning up more and do more strength for the winter months and just do 3-5 miles when I can. Maybe work on getting faster 5 and 10k times.
If anyone has suggestions for a plan of how to just tone up/build muscle I would be very interested. I do strength workouts on youtube but i am sucker for cardio and typically choose that over strength 😝. But i think i could use some toning up lol.

50K training
Did my longest training run for the 50k. Oh man this one was hard! I mentally wanted to quit at only 7 miles into it. But my brother encouraged me to keep going and then my sister in law biked by me for the last 12 miles. They are the best! 🥰. I had to take a couple walk breaks and had dropped off some water and gatorade at a couple spots for my own personal aid stations. Really proud i did this! I finished strong and felt pretty great especially the last half of it, once i got out of my own head lol.
Sorry for the ugly feet pics, im weird and consider blisters trophys from running 😂🤦‍♀️.
Took a little dip in the river afterwards felt like an ice bath a little. Felt good on my knees.
Really need to stretch, i stretched everytime i took a walk break today or stopped for water and that really helped. Im to tired tonight to stretch but tomorrow is a rest day and will stretch. The weather was beautiful and finally felt like fall. Got a little wet a couple times but not bad thankfully!
2 weeks till race day! Time to taper, im going to struggle cutting back on mileage.
This weeks mileage has been a 7, 5, 6, 9.3, 5 milers and todays 25 miler. 57 miles total for this week. 10 miles on the exercise bike Thursday, 2 strength workouts and 30 minutes of yoga. Really happy with my training this week 😁. Should of taken some pictures of my run, it was beautiful.
Well anyways im all over the place with this post 😝. Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend! Im off to bed now and to enjoy a quiet rest of the weekend with girls and hubby 😊.

50k training log
Weight 181.4lbs
Race day is in 3 weeks!! I am super excited and nervous. I am trying to stick to my training and actually strength train and stretch more and I really want to do some yoga to help with recovery.
I haven't posted about most of my training cause.... well i just forget to. But I have been training all summer pretty consistently besidesa week or 2 here or there when life or sickness happened. Unfortunately I was supposed to do my 25 miler this past Saturday but due to so many events we had that day I wasn't able to and just did a sad 11 miler ( it was literally the next day after having the stomach flu) but anyways. I plan on doing a 20-25 miler this Saturday which should be fun 🤔😅! Supposed to start cooling down tomorrow so will feel more like fall and be an enjoyable not as sweaty run hopefully 😊.
I can't remember where I left off training wise om here but i think I had 42 miles last week. And this week I have had a 7 miler, 5miler, 6 miler, and 2 strength sessions this week. 💪

50k training and weightloss update
Weight 184.6
I have many days to catch up on posting for my runs an 10 mile race this past week. Im going to do a separate post for those.
This morning i was able to get a 7.2 mile run in before my girls got up which was so nice! I am really happy with my training the past 7 days. I am trying to eat better so I can hopefully lose 9-10 lbs in 4 weeks before my race. I know that is alot in the time frame but I will be happy even if its 6-8lbs. I really just want to be out of the 180s again 😅.
This coming week i want to start being more consistent with strength training and doing some yoga for streching. And really focusing on sticking to a calorie deficit. Also want to try to do better with posting my exercise and food as it helps motivate me a bit.
Breakfast
1 sausage, 2 eggs and light carb toast with pb and banana - total 438

09/16/2022 Long run day
Was supposed to be 22 miles training for my 50k but I have a 10 mile race tomorrow morning so just figured i would do a longerish (long to me) run back to back with the 10 miler tomorrow for my long run this week. Also, last week i was only able to get a 7 miler in and then a 4.3 this past Monday and then this 14 miler. Life has just been busy and with it getting lighter later and darker earlier and its my husband's busy season makes it hard to do. I just need to push myself to run on the treadmill during the week, at least then i would be getting my runs in. Planning on trying to get back on track and sticking with my training plan as best I can this coming week.
My pace was actually average 10:30s which i am happy with. My fitbit is always off a bit but according to my garmin i was around the 10:30s the whole time.
I also need to get back on track with my eating. Last week was bad for exercise and food 🤪. But getting back with it this weekend and eating healthier and in moderation!

No long run today. Was supposed to be 19 miles but with my husband's schedule it just didn't work out. Its for the best, since I have a chest cold. I may try to to get 3-5 miles later on the treadmill during naptime we shall see. I was able to run 10 yesterday so im happy with that 😊

Todays breakfast - sugar free oatmeal 1/4 cup blueberries and a monster for for some energy. 130 total
We have a wedding end of this month. I would love to lose another 12lbs this month before then so I can fit into an old dress. I will just keep working at it and be happy with any weight-loss ☺️. Just have to work on my sweet tooth 😆.

08/26/2023 Todays long run
This one felt super great the first 8 miles and then the last 6 was a mental and physical battle 😅. But i got it done and I never regret finishing a long run.
We had pizza for lunch which was amazing! And i was able to clean the house and do laundry while my youngest took a nap. Canned some green beans, then we went and got some ice cream which is always delicious and fun to see how messy my girls get with it 🥰.
I need to stretch again tonight and maybe use the massage gun and the foot massager. But overall my legs feel really great!
Another problem I had was my feet started hurting around mile 4 or 5. Which is strange, these are my new shoes and have probably put 70ish miles on them. So not sure but hopefully it was just a fluke for today.
A wonderful Saturday though! Always goes to fast.

Really happy with this run. First 5.5 miles was hard, I was just tired and legs felt like lead. But then I got warmed up and felt really great until mile 14.5 then I was feeling tired and ready to be done 😅. But so proud of myself! I believe this is my longest run straight since my last marathon in 2018 🤯. I think my longest since has been just half marathon distance. So I am very thrilled with this!
Long run 17.2 miles completed!
Week 7 of my ultra marathon training done! I missed 2 days of running this week. But still got 36 miles total in.

Did some stretching, legs up on the wall and a nap this afternoon and foot massager tonight. Busy day with my kids and getting stuff done. I have found I recover faster and am not as sore from my long runs since having kids rather than when I didn't. Instead of just taking it easy all day like I used to, I am busy taking care of my sweet girls all day. So less sitting 😂, either way its nice and yet not becausei love the sore feeling lol.
Going to try and get up early before church in the morning to get a recovery run in 🏃‍♀️.

Had a protein bar before my 8 mile run - 150
Breakfast 2 eggo waffles 3tbsp pb sugar free syrup and 2 eggs - 625

I ran another 5 miles on the treadmill and I had the chocolate milk right after.
Snack - Protein ball - 213
Dinner -chicken stuffing casserole, 2 rolls, 2 tsp butter - 800
Desert- 9 sugar free wafers, 15grams of joyride gummy bears, 30 grams of doritos- 601
Total for day - 2,702

This chocolate milk is just amazing. Tastes so lovely! Anyways, 8 miles felt super easy and just really good. 5 miles was good as well. Very pleased with this, wanted to be able to get more miles in since i missed Saturday's long run. And this is what I was able to do while juggling my kids. Early morning run and naptime run 💪😊. I need to take more time to stretch, I am so terrible at stretching but I know my body needs it. Tomorrow is a 5 mile tempo run and a full body strength and im going to try to get in some good stretching!

Im back! I have trying on and off to lose weight the last year. I gained more back through the winter months...sigh. But im back at it! Been following a plan for the last 2 in half weeks. Here are my new stats, they are depressing but its ok at least I am doing something about it!
