i am so done with netflix. lesbians cant have shit because the multibillion company just cant handle not making money. the only reason they make all this gay shows is because those give them the views and money that they want. notice how theres 0 lesbian shows, and we’re LUCKY if we get background characters? we need to stop fucking taking this shit and do something. but again, they wouldn’t even be affected. if a few people stopped using their services, there wouldn’t be a difference. just like the actor and writer strikes, the companies could care less about the wellbeing of those minorities that they portray. we’re nothing but numbers to them, a footnote in a novel. it infuriates me that lesbians are always shoved out. it’s so frustrating, because after all the contributions we have made? who were the ones who helped and provided a safe space for gay men who were suffering with aids? when no one else dared to touch them? it was the lesbians. we are always there, but never given credit. i’m so fed up with it. sorry not sorry for this tangent it’s so fucking exhausting

why can't the Marauders fandom simply appreciate women? why is it the women always seem to be tossed aside until theyre needed as background characters for some stupid mlm ship? why is it that dorcas has only recently become a more popular character and just because she's now apart of the 'slytherin skittles' a group of mainly guys (that tend to overshadow her)? why does this fandom love to appreciate queer characters until it comes to the queer women? why does this fandom love to ship characters and create content for them until it comes to wlw ships? why are the amazing women characters in the Marauders fandom constantly given unfair treatment, are rarely recognized, and are always either compared to the men and mlm ships and characters or forgotten completely?

If anyone here thinks bigender, genderfluid, nonbinary and other genderqueer lesbians can't exist get the actual fuck off my blog. Lesbian describes queer relationships to women and nonbinaries and other lesbians/Sapphics. You can just as easily call yourself gay and nonbinary, or genderfluid or whatever else but when people decide to say lesbian and then not strictly identify with being a binary cis woman people starts throwing shit at them. Fuck you actually. You are the problem. It's the most widely known thing in the queer community that lesbians have a complex and often transformative relationship to womanhood.
