1983 Metallica leaves Dave Mustaine

On April 11, 1983, Metallica guitarist Dave Mustaine was forced to leave the band due to personal disagreements with the rest of the band.

James Hetfield told Dave Mustaine that he could no longer stay in the group due to systematic drunkenness. On the same day, the exile took a bus from New York to San Francisco.

Dave Mustaine - "Looking back, I understand: if there is a guy who becomes aggressive when he gets drunk, and he's drunk almost 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, then his presence next to you all day is probably not good for doing business. I'd get such a man out of Metallica myself. I had problems with alcohol, and it cost me work and two very dear friends. But I didn't have a "B" plan. Being a successful musician is all I've ever wanted, and I wasn't going to let that dream die."

Izzy was born in the United States in 1962. His real name is Jeffrey Dean Isbell. Guitarist and one of the founders of Guns N' Roses in 1985. He left the band several times, but returned, and also engaged in a solo career and was a member of Velvet Revolver, a group of former musicians Guns N' Roses.

Metallica's first concert was held on March 14, 1982 at Radio City Anaheim, San Francisco, California, USA. The composition of the team at that time was as follows: James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Dave Mustaine and Ron McGovney. Hetfield only sang during the concert, the guitar was in charge of Mustaine. SLAYER have officially reunited and will return to the stage in September.

For the first time since the band played the last concert of the world tour in November 2019, SLAYER members will return to the stage this fall, becoming the headliners of two major festivals - Riot Fest and Louder Than Life.
