Volume V, Book 1, Chapter 8: The Wedding Banquet

Such a grand feast that Miliwald and I have never been to before! There were so many guests. We went to every table and attempted to recall our encounters with each one. Mili was quite amazed at my memory. But I am Natevaelle, Keeper of Memories, after all! 

Me: “Ah, Malhar! He was a memorable one, because I could not get over how his limp was faster than my run.”

Mili: “Wow, this is just like a wedding. I don’t know anyone!”

I was inspired by UI’s look at the Cannes festival 🥰 ❤️ recently I was listening a lot to IU’s “love poem” during work. I saw that @companiondish ❤️ was doing a segment of self reflection in her drawing videos. 😍❤️ And i thought that it is a very nice idea! So here we go, things i learned, noticed or realized during mermay 2022. 🌿First things first this was the first time i participated in mermay and i loved it. I noticed that i spend a very long time to think of an idea. Unless i have one in mind already. hence i was late doing some of the prompts as i spent sometimes 3 days thinking. XD I guess a good thing will be to plan the ideas in advance, do the sketches, and just draw During the challenge. I also spend a long time doing the flat colors, and i noticed that having a drama or music on helps me not to focus too much on drawing and relax more, which in turn makes me faster. 🌿I realized my wrist hurts from too much drawing. Especially on my huion tablet. I think it is similar with my wacom. when i use procreate it’s better but still. It makes me think i need to practice taking breaks. It is so hard! Like sometimes you go into the flow and break will just disrupt it. Need ti find balance. 🌿 The style! Man this is the most problematic one. This is not something i learned but something i can’t learn lol xD I do my best to keep one style but then i get tired. So my style varies from piece to piece. When i stick to something i find it incredibly limiting. At the same time i guess the style is something that comes out when i relax and draw whatever i want. If that is so then maybe for now i should not stress myself over it and just do what i feel like drawing at that moment till i can fully and wholeheartedly say that i am ready to express myself in only one, my own, style without limiting myself or feeling uncomfortable. What do you think about this? :) 🌿i just love doing challenges. Its fun and I grow a lot! 😊 🌿 I need to learn making stories. XD I usually just share other people’s amazing works and nothing else xD Maybe that will come naturally later? 💛🍀But anyway. I learned a lot during this, I noticed a lot.
