(I hate art block, have an out of context infodump/ story)

As he's holding a bouquet of vibrant chrysanthemums, Igneous wearily smiles. He admits to Saphir that he isn't okay. Just out of the blue as if his intrusive thoughts have taken hold of him. He reiterates it while affirming that he is okay with that. He thinks if he confesses, it'll ease some of his anxieties. It is no secret he dreads facing Saphir on his own as their history hasn't been exactly rosy. No, it's been a messy affair of miscommunications. Igneous can barely tell if Saphir is being genuine or facetious these days. After all, she always smiles and seemingly feigns ignorance at the sign of anything deep. He simply stares at her, half-lidded and utterly exhausted.

Saphir sees the looming shadow of her sins standing behind her beloved friend. The two-faced queen knows she has done wronged him horribly. The illness and anxiety he currently suffers from are just the latest (undiscovered) incidents. She smiles cheerfully as she assures the freckled man she'll always be there for him. Despite the somewhat superficial smile, her words are very much authentic. Or as authentic you can get whilst dealing with the guilt of what you've done. Of course, she does all this with her eyes close. In doing so, she doesn't notice Igneous' dead-eyed gaze. She doesn't notice his silent scrutiny.

Igneous knows Saphir's hiding something from him. Her smile to him is an obvious tell. This seemingly happy person is a liar. He doesn't know what or why. He simply knows it and cannot bring himself to say it. After all, anything said to her often leads to him being further condemned by everyone else. It's what led to them breaking off things when they were younger. It's what led to the war and the aftermath they now face. He cares yet cannot feel comfortable to open up without dreading the ensuing consequences. Hence, the deafening silence he lingers in now.

so the house of representatives just passed a bill that will now move to the senate to BAN tik tok completely in the united states and they are expected to argue that “national security risks” outweigh the freedom of speech and first amendment rights. biden has already said that if it gets to him, he will sign it. whether or not you use the app…….this is something to be worried about

Toxic boi

I just finished this toxic lad after having him sit around since last week. I was sick and originally, he was meant to be a duck. I was so sick that I got frustrated with him- turned him into this!

I even added angy brows to reflect my mood at the time. The spots definitely added on to my time and effort into him. He’s totally bappable!

I based it off the cursed/poison shroom from the mario party series. The colors just happened to work out nicely💖.

So, I am dead (inside)

A small thing describing the past week, gunna put it under keep reading to spare those who don’t want to see it.

I’ve gone through a viral sore throat which only seems to have gone away completely as of today! Couldn’t talk at all from Sunday to Tuesday. Couldn’t swallow for shit and just couldn’t sleep.

After going to the doctor on Tuesday, guess who got pink eyes? Yup, this lil idiot(me). Wednesday was me getting drops and my medication. I love given up a week of work, activities and comfort because March felt like kicking me in the teeth!

My eyes are still a bit irritated today but are slowly getting less so thanks to drops for times a day. Really fucked my sleep schedule though.

The only comforts I had were funneling my frustration into crochet and stardew valley! I felt like I was going crazy and was having flash backs to 2020. Yup, quarantine time flashbacks and I was just ✨emotionally exhausted ✨.

sorry for the rant, I need to get it out of my system.

Made a present for my older brother! I originally planned it to be a mushroom but after adding blushing and flipping it over- it became a rooster. Took me a few days but the end result speaks for itself.

The purple one is the one I finished today for myself since I wanted to crochet with this purple yarn I’ve had for a while. Probably one of my personal favorites ✨

The regular one was given to bf for Valentine’s Day. His got some special stuff like sparkling yarn and an open smile! Went with pinks since fit the pattern better at the time.

It’s all basic shapes- feet are three rounds of increase by six (18) then 2 rounds of 18 before decreasing back and finishing off!

Arms are three rounds of six- leaven long tails for sewing later.

(Sew feet in the inside once you’ve half done with sphere and place arms where you feel it’s best! The face should be a row or two above the arms)

The body is just your basic sphere with 42 being the largest amount of stitches per rounds. The first 7 rounds are just increases by six- followed by 7 rounds of 42 stitches and you decrease before finishing off and sewing it up on the top.

Just did these over the snow day and had a lot of fun!

I water colored my ocs and used sharpie pens to draw them (not in that order lol)

Igneous , Saphir and Violette were done first. Then, I did hector and Matilda- followed by Milo, Vanessa, Emma and Rosilyn. Pearl ended up being the last of these.

The scanner did a nice job mostly in picking up the colors as I scanned them into my laptop.

loved how everyone one came out color wise!

Drew most of these in therapy yesterday because I was feeling kind of moody tbh.

The last three were done at home.

Personally, I want to draw and post more things like this. Like, I am always at odds with myself when it comes to art since I am pretty fickle. Like, a picture could look good to y'all and here comes my self-conscious ass scrutinizing it to oblivion and just scrapping entirely.

I don't want to be at war with myself just because I can't capture the concept as I see it in my mind. That I can't produce narratives at all without it being on some obscure location like my diary or just in my thoughts.

Also, the lil dude is a voidling- they're a type of shadow folk I made up for my story. The way I characterized them is that they were masks they call their faces most of the time due to the fact they get easily overstimulated- especially above the ground (they live in deep, abyssal type spaces). They're deeply empathetic towards each other and often try to comfort each other when one is overwhelmed (losing the face is usually a reason).

After explaining their lore to my therapist out loud, I might've realized i wrote out an anthropomorphized version of my own experiences as an autistic person. Obviously, it was largely unintentional since these guys were based off things like hollow knight (the 'face' design mostly) and an attempt to further diversify things in my own mind ( I dread same face syndrome).

Always find myself drawing them when I've nothing else to think off. I apologize for the infodumping- I do better with explaining stuff once I've a visual- whether I like it or not.
