Is it my idea or is it common in Frieren's group to trick others into doing something, that they know they need, but don't dare to do?

I say this because we have Heiter asking Frieren to decipher a grimoire so that she ends up being Fern's teacher, then Eisen asking her to help him look for those scriptures so that she ends up embarking on a journey to reunite with Himmel's soul, and even Frieren herself asking Stark to distract the dragon so that in the end he can kill it himself!

I don't know whether to call it motivation or manipulation xd

it causes me some conflict when in s2 we are told that Yeon's actions in the past will not have an effect on the present of the series when LITERALLY the entire plot of totnt is woven around Yeon and Rang's bad relationship.

That is, the only reason Ji Ah loses her parents is because Rang lays his hand to take revenge on her brother. You can't cure Rang's abandonment traumas, give him a wife and pure fox blood genes? And then tell me that things transpired exactly the same.
