Kimetsu no Yaiba Event Recap
I went to the KNY event on the 20th, and saw it from one of the venues it was broadcasting live to. It was an amazing two hours and here is what happened.
Tumblr media
We get the animated scene of Tanjirou meditating on the roof of the Butterfly Estate as he in the anime, before Shinobu interrupted. Then we see the live stage where Hanae is in the same position as his character, meditating on the roof and continues to have because the conversation to himself.
It doesn't last long, as he is interrupted by Shimono’s screams. Who runs onto the stage, where eventually stops and talks about how he was going to pursue Nezuko. He goes on trying to work out whether he'll do a more masculine or feminine voice, and what he was going to say. Eventually he stops at the sound of Hanae’s cough, and gives Shimono the “disgusted Tanjiro” look - twice.
Tumblr media
Yes this actually happened… it was great.
Hanae joins Shimono who continue their exchange at the front of the stage, until footsteps could be heard coming closer and closer. Hanae and Shimono open part of the stage, which reveals a room in which Matsuoka crashes through just like Inosuke. With the three main boys on stage, they talk about their recoveries and Tanjiro reminisces with the other two about how it all started for him.
Tumblr media
Live Readings (animation from the series is played on the main screen) in order:
Recap of episode 1, with appearances of Kitou and Sakurai.
Recap of Inosukes first appearance, mostly when he kills the fat demon.
When Inosuke is saved by Giyuu
Gakuen x 3 episodes
Zenitsu killing SpiderBro
Hinokami (a lot of big cut scenes here)
Free talk happened between Gakuen and Zenitsu killing Spiderbro. They all spoke together at first, then split into groups. First group was Sakurai, Kitou and Hanae, then Shimono, Matsuoka and Kitou. They spoke about KNY, but they kept going on about the audience. I think they haven't really let it sink in how popular the series is. haha. Sakurai made a point to wave to the people at the make at the actual venue too...he was cute.
Then they gave us another animated recap of what they covered tonight and in the anime. Then they showed just various ad break stills … at this point everyone knew something big was coming up, it was in the air and I knew it too. Then, much to our surprise, they played the new trailer and everyone screamed out, and again with the announcement for 2020.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But the big scream and cry out was for the sudden appearance of Hino! His appearance not only moved me, but many around me...he was there in Rengokus cloak. It was amazing.
They left it there, and they all bowed to us and left the stage in pairs. First: Hino and Sakurai, Shimono and Matsuoka and then Kitou and Hanae.
They finished it showed the official event picture of the SD characters in suits, which now included Rengoku. A little text at the bottom of the screen, popped up telling us that we were allowed to take photos and boy…everyone did. haha.
Tumblr media
Memorable moments:
The stagehands were dressed as Kakushi
Chuntaro made an appearance and told tangible how good since it was during their time on the mountain (this was before his live reading scene when he goes against spiderbro)
After the Hinokami live reading, was a live music performance done by the lady who sings the family OST theme
The databook was mentioned once, referring to Nezuko’s Taisho secret where she talks about Zenitsu. “I feel like Zenitsu is a strange Dandelion” she says.
I noticed that Matsuoka was actually nervous at the very beginning of the event. I could see his hands shaking, as if he was nervous to be on stage and he had to keep moving his hands in order for the audience not to see it so easily. bless him…
When Giyuu ties up Inosuke on the mountain (this part was included in the live readings), it ended up extending out into the event itself. Where Inosuke gets tied up again by Giyuu after another exchange at the Butterfly Estate and was found by Tanjiro and Zenitsu…
There's one part in the event before Hanae are goes on stage with the box on his back, and meets Sakurai as Giyuu. There's no one on stage, but you could hear Shimono whisper “Hanae”, as if to remind him of his cue.
Sakurai made the point that, he thinks that Gakuen Giyuu is very cool.
Shimono definitely worked up a sweat on stage. He was the sweatiest one, out of them all. It's probably because he was screaming half the time running around half the time and he actually did the infamous Zenitsu backbend.
Nezuko patted Zenitsu on the head, making the whole audience go “awww”.
When they're free talking it was Shimono who would not shut up, he kept talking and talking. Meanwhile, it was Matsuoka who sitting there very quietly, such a man of few words.
Inosukes version of ara ara is hoa hoa
Matsuoka did the praises!Inosuke a number of times...and the bubbles that appear around Inosuke was added on the screen visual when the camera was showing Matsuoka when he did this. That being said, Matsuoka did all the Inosuke SFX too … haha

Okay! As promised my first part of my Haganezuka Hotaru fanfic! I'm not overly content with it, but it will do. Hmmm, I wrote this in the same manner as my Rengoku fics. But after this one, I think I will change perspective, for the sake of flexibility (even though I already have some of the second part done). Anyway! Let me know what you think! What do you think of my description of Hotaru?!
The village was in a secret location, where no outsiders came in, and residents never left. The majority of its working base specialised in a craft that was no longer in use in normal society. needless to say, your little secluded world was fair for normal.
The Swordsmiths Village was essential to the Demon Slayer Corp, majority of the men crafted the swords that were wielded by the soldiers who risked life and limb from demons. For three hundred years, the village had been connected to this organisation and for the last fifty, had been keeping the tradition of swordmaking alive.
[[MORE]]
Despite its unique purpose, the village was completely functional and considerably average. When the Swordsmiths weren’t practising their craft, they worked throughout the village as merchants, farmers, labourers, teachers. The only exception was the doctor; that was a special case. It was both self-sustaining, but also looked after very well by the head family of the Demon Slayer Corps.
Down through the layers of the village, laid out a familial hierarchy. While the men worked, the women stayed home and took control of the household. The leading lady would control the finances, and was the one who maintain harmony throughout the household. Any younger female members of the family, took note of what the lady of the house did throughout her day, as well as carried out household jobs, until she was married.
The sons were considered important in passing down specialised crafts of individual families to the next generation. With a reputation to uphold, and a legacy to continue, they sought out getting results from the next generation as quickly as possible. With many boys show potential to assist their fathers in the workshop by the age of 10.
Being the youngest daughter, unlike your brothers before you, you were taught the necessities of being a woman in the village of Swordsmiths. As well as, being the daughter of the village chief. You had a particular position within the household, which also included dealing with a certain outsider. Since none of the other women wanted to deal with him directly.
~~~~
Because of your fathers position within the village, it seemed like the residence was constantly busy with visitors, from local and abroad. It was custom for newly arrived visitors to pay their respects to the village head, before doing their business. Which meant you had become acquainted with the Hunters who have made the journey to the village, who have been assigned there and likewise for the Kakushi. The Kakushi were the ones you probably saw and interacted with the most. At the village, they acted more like guides and messengers, and were fairly relaxed to be around. That was, until, they had to be the bearer of bad news.
The visiting Kakushi looked nervous as you left him in the meeting room, there he would wait for your father and who was with him to arrive. That is as far as your duties took you, when formally dealing with anyone directly from the Demon Slayer Corps. The rest was in the hands of the men of the household, so in all, a woman’s role here was behind the scenes. Or the backbone of the village, has it was cheekily known as, mostly because the men would probably waste away if they were left to their own devices.
~~~~
The meeting seemed to have relatively short, as the Kakushi from earlier bypassed you, as you were sweeping the genkan, brushing out any dirty outside. With their face always covered, it was hard to determine any type of facial expression from the Kakushi, but he seemed to have been relieved to leave the household, and wanted to do so quickly.
As to what kind of news he could’ve delivered to make him want to leave so quickly, came in the form of a door slamming from within the household, followed by angry footsteps and a voice calling out Hotaru’s name. “Ah … no wonder,” you muttered under your breath, it didn’t take you long to work out exactly what transpired.
With the thunderous footsteps nearing the entrance of the house, you knew better than to stand in the way of the angry swordsmith that was making his way out. Leaving the door open, and stepping out of the threshold to give him passage, it was only moments later you the mustard yellow haori flash past you, bound for the mountain by the village. Followed by one of your brothers, who stopped next to you, stopping Hotaru at this point was near impossible.
“Do I want to know?” You asked your brother, amused at his defeated body language and at Hotaru’s temper tantrum.
“Ah …” Your brother seemed a little unsure whether to disclose you the information, but decided to tell you anyway. It always seemed to go like clockwork, either way, you were bound to find out anyway. “Father got a request from a Hunter, for a new sword. They were one of Haganezuks’s clients …”
“Were?” You echoed, before letting out a deep sigh as your brother gravely nodded.
Hotaru’s rough attitude was more than enough to drive people away from and made it difficult for those who stuck around to get close. The man was extremely passionate about his craft, and anything negative that came his way, was considered to be a great insult. His passion, mixed with his attitude and short fuse, made it very difficult for him to maintain a good reputation and anyone to work with him.
Hotaru was you would describe as a man-child; an adult who never seemed to have grown out of childish temper tantrums. If something didn't go his way, he would make it known, before storming off and up the mountain. He did it back then, and he still did it now. The only object that seemed to pacify him, was the gentle chime of furin; much like how a child would suddenly forget their troubles with a simple distraction.
The swordsmith some seven years your senior, he had been raised by your father, due to one too many incidents involving his biological parents, when he was a toddler. You were unsure of the details, but how the man acted as an pre-adolescent and now adult, gave you enough clues of what could've transpired. Yet your father was able to read the man like a book, he knew the inner workings of Hotaru, which seemed entirely impossible. Because of this, your father was one of the few who could control the man-child. However, he wasn’t the only one, another swordsmith named Kanamori, seemed to have a mutual understanding on how Hotaru worked and often partnered up with him. And then there was you. For reasons unknown, you were sought out to soothe the beast, when the two swordsmiths were unavailable.

Oh wow! Thank you so, so much for everyone's support with my first story. I have finished my second, which I could say is like a second part...? Maybe? Not sure. Haha! With this one focusing more on more on MC and Shinjuro, I hope you enjoy this one too!!
Again, I'm considering on fleshing out MC completely and writing a more complete story about her life within the Rengoku family. Let me know what you think! Thank you!!!
Ruka, too, was amazing in her own right. Although she was sickly, she instilled many things that she had learned in her life, including how to be the mother of the next generation of Rengokus. A role that you promised to uphold her expectations. She became the woman you inspired to be, that's not to say your own mother wasn't amazing. Your mother was just as inspirational too; kind, loving and patient. But, once married, you would have to leave you family behind, for you husband’s. Hence, a good relationship with his mother was essential.
[[MORE]]
When the dreaded day came, and Ruka passed away, the image of a happy family was shattered. Shinjuro became depressed, seclusive and bitter. He drowned his sorrows in alcohol, and lash out at anyone who tried to comfort him. Resulting in Senjuro being slightly fearful of his father, Kyoujurou disappointed, although he would never utter those words out loud. The elder son still loved and admired his father greatly. As to yourself, the glares he would throw you, each time you visited his room to deliver his meals, or change his futon and covers, made you cautious around him.
The daggers he threw, shouldn't have unsettled you, he wasn't the type of man to be aggressive towards women. Yet, even when you were telling yourself it was ok, ‘It was just the alcohol talking, that's all,’ the man would snap and make a crude comment toward you. Again, you were convinced that it was more the alcohol talking rather than himself.
It wasn't until your sixteenth birthday, the time for you to finally wed Kyoujurou. That you may have been wrong about Shinjuro’s loose mouth, when he drank.
Your fiance came home from his Demon Slayer duties, given a short reprieve for the occasion. Kyoujuro has already received his blessings, to go ahead with the marriage from your own parents. It was time for you to receive your blessings from Shinjuro and welcome you into the household as the young mistress.
Sitting in Shinjuro’s room, with Kyoujurou by your side. You posrated yourselves to the Rengoku patriarch, announcing the intention of marriage and requested for his blessing. It all appeared to have gone smoothly and according to plan until Shinjuro threw an empty Sake bottle outside, causing it to smash.
“As long as I'm the head of this household!” He slurred, turning his attention to us as he stood up. He staggered on the spot for a moment, he wasn't in the right frame of mind and we both knew it. But we kept our heads low, in an attempt not to provoke him.
“... She will never replace Ruka.”
After the events transpired, both you and Kyoujurou felt a mixture of feelings: Anger, disappointment, loss, sorrow.
Was that what he saw you as? Did he feel that he was no longer good enough for the household, that his elder son had to marry now? And that you were going to take the place of his late wife?
Well, that's what it felt like after the barrage of language that flew from the man’s mouth. The both of you were left with more questions than answers.
~~~~
Cooking was something that helped you ease your mind, it kept you busy when you were over thinking or not feeling your best. You found it rather therapeutic. After all, despite what happened, the evening meal still needed to be prepared and cooked.
You were so engrossed with your preparations, that you didn't notice your fiance come up behind you and wrap his arounds around your waist. The sudden warmth from Kyoujurou startled you, as it snapped you out of your thoughts.
“My love,” he murmured, his breath tickling the back of your neck. “Never mind what father said today, I'm sure he wasn't thinking straight. Let this blow over, and once I've become a Pillar, we'll marry then.”
Kyoujurou wasn't being his boisterous self, instead being calm and collected. The seriousness in his voice surprised you a little,it wasn't a tone you heard him use often. Turning on the spot to face him, you could see the determination in his eyes; the young man was deadly serious about his intentions. “If time doesn't allow it, then we will when I’m 21.”
When a person turned twenty-one, they were considered to be full functional adults in decent society. Hence, wouldn't exactly need his father's complete permission to marry you.
“Then, I'll wait a little longer.” You smiled at him, looking forward to what the future had installed for both of you.
~~~~
The arrival of the news, the wake, the funeral it felt like it all happened so fast, too fast for your liking; everything just seemed to have blurred into one. It only felt like you got the news of his passing yesterday, the emotional, heaviness was still absolutely raw.
Everyone was dealing with the tragedy in different ways, Shinjuro was drinking a lot more than usual and more prone to lash out at anyone who tried to speak to him. Meanwhile, Senjuro attempted to keep it all together, he tried to be that strong support for you. But failed, he would always end up tearing up himself, whenever he tried to.
The loss of Kyoujurou was a severe blow to the Rengoku residence.
Sometime after the funeral, you heard a scuffle between a visitor and your father-in-law in front of the house. Curiosity wished for you to go out and see this individual, but you unable bring yourself to do so; you simply didn't have the emotional strength to do so. From what you were able to hear, though, the individual knew your fiance, maybe he was here to pay his respects.
So many people did, to be honest. All the Pillars had dropped by, ordinary Demon Slayers who were lucky to know him, Kakushi who had worked with him and even Oyakata-sama, all came to the residence to pay their respects. Both you and Senjuro greeted them, humbled and overwhelmed with how many people Kyoujurou’s life had touched.
You could've surrounded yourself with these amazing people, and allow them to put you back into your feet. But that would not fulfill the emptiness that lurked within your heart. The Kyoujurou sized emptiness, the loneliness and longing was more than you could've imagined. But you knew Kyoujurou wouldn't want you stay in your room forever, just as his father did, you had to get up and live your life.
~~~~
With evening approaching and the guest now long gone, you stepped out into the garden, a place of fond memories. The air around you was still and warm, as if he was standing there with you. It was comforting, yet it wasn't, your heart began to ache with longing.
Silent tears ran down your face as you watched the fireflies begin dance in the darkening light; Kyoujurou always marveled at this little bugs and watching them was a favourite past time.
“Thought I would find you out here,” a gruff voice pull you out of your thoughts. Father like son, Shinjuro had succeeded in sneaking up to you, only to vocally make his presence known. You murmured a quiet reply, acknowledging what he had said, before turning back to the fireflies.
Shinjuro took a few more steps and joined you to watch the fireflies, before turning to consider you for a moment. “I'm sorry,” he says in a gentle voice that you hadn't heard come from him in many years, “... if I hadn't retired, maybe.”
Words got caught in his throat, it was clear the realisation that Kyoujurou wasn't coming home had hit him. Again, like he did with Ruka, blames himself for causing it. Reaching out to place a tender hand on his arm, you shook your head.
“Please, no…don't,” you quietly begged, not wanting the man to fall into a pit of self-loathing once more. “Don't blame yourself.”
Silence fell between the two of you, with only the occasional sound of sniffs emitting into the night. You felt his eyes upon you, as if he was taking you into consideration.
“I should've allowed you to marry,” he eventually murmured. His comment brought forth more tears, there was an angry tug at the heart, as you wanted to turn and scream at him, from taking that chance away from you. But, you couldn't even bring yourself to look at him.
“I was jealous...jealous, that my elder son was going to have a caring bride to grow old with,” he continued, not waiting to hear from you first. “I could see how much Kyoujurou loved and cared for you … I guess I saw myself and Ruka, in both of you.”
Shinjuro let out a sorrowful chuckle, both of you had lost your significant others and were now in the same boat. In response, you patted his arm, silently telling him that everything was going to be okay. There was no way of undoing what happened in the past, but the future could be made just that little brighter.
Most who know me within the fandom, know I'm a nut for Haganezuka Hotaru. How can you not love him?! Anyway, I'm current writing something that involves him...he does deserve some love after all. And thought I would share a snippet:
Hotaru was a man, who could be described as a man-child; an adult who never appeared to have grown out of his childish temper tantrums. If something didn't go his way or if something was said which he didn't like, he would make it known. Before storming off and up the mountain, to vent out further, until he was ready. He did it back then, and he still did it now; the only object that seemed to pacify him, was the gentle chime of furin. It was exactly like how a child would suddenly forget their troubles with a simple distraction.
Love it? Hate it?? Tell me what you think.
I'm writing this along with another part of my Rengoku narrative. I'm writing it in the same perspective as my first, because it seems to be the easiest style for me at the moment. But I do plan to properly flesh out the MC for the Rengoku narratives and create more of a story. So I hope, you all will like that too!
Ah, before I forget!!
Thank you to everyone who has read my first story and liked it! It means a great deal to me. Also a big shout out to those who took the time to left me messages, comments, and decided to follow me, you're really important too!
Thank you so much!
PS: sorry if it doesn't make too much sense. I'm writing this at midnight. Time for me to sleep!
Ahhh!!! Thank you so much!!! I'm so glad that you liked my story, people like you encourage me to write more. :) I'm currently writing another story, that could be seen as part 2? Maybe? I hope you enjoy that too, when I post it. :)
This story was inspired by Selii's fanart on Twitter, which can be found here: https://twitter.com/sleii/status/1171829175851728897
As you set about your daily tasks around the Rengoku residence, you paused for a moment to watch your fiance, full of encouragement and enthusiasm, helping his younger brother train in swordsmanship. With each mistake, the younger apologise and the elder would simply laugh it off, and told him it was fine. It was a typical scene, when Kyoujurou came home, swordsmanship training was an opportunity for the two brothers to bond.
[[MORE]]
The circumstances which surrounded you and the Rengoku family were unique. You had been betrothed to the eldest son since you were young, and practically grew up with him. of course, you wouldn't have moved into his family's residence until your wedding day, but circumstances changed that.
Ruka’s death, your future mother-in-law, brought forward some unprecedented changes. Although still rather young yourself, same age as Kyoujuro, you were to move into your future husband's residence sooner rather than later. The idea itself was particularly unheard of, but given the circumstances, there was no other female to assist in running the household.
Shinjurou was then the Flame Pillar, and Kyoujurou was well on his way to become a soldier soon himself, he just needed to perfect his swordsmanship and learn the breaths of his father. They were too busy to worry about household affairs, and Senjuro was far too young.
On the outside, it seemed like a perfect solution, ordinarily Senjurou probably would've been expected to remarry, to make ensure the household was being run accordingly. But his love for his late wife was great, and losing her affected him greatly, which worsened over time. The latter was evident, soon after moving into the Rengoku’s residence. It exposed you to the more hidden side of a seemingly good family.
You were sympathetic to Shinjuro’s grief. The very idea of losing Kyoujurou, was unbearable. He was destined to be a soldier in the Demon Slayer Corp and the next Fire Pillar, his life too, could easily be cut short. As could Senjirou's, once he joined. They're thoughts you couldn't bare to think for too long.
With the patriarch of the Rengoku family being withdrawn and reclusive, relying on alcohol to get through the day. Everything weighed heavily on Kyoujurou's shoulders.
The future of the family's legacy, keeping what was left together,learning how to develop and use the Breath of Flames, reaching Pillar-dom, being a pseudo-father to his younger brother and being your unofficial husband.
It all weighed heavily on him. Yet despite all that, he still faced it with unbridled optimism and hope.
Even when things didn't work out, times when he should've felt disappointed, angry, upset. Like when Shinjuro refused to give blessed for your marriage to go ahead on your sixteenth birthday like promised, or when Senjurou's sword didn't change colour for him, or when a drunken Shinjuro lashed out at his eldest son in a drunken fit of rage. Kyoujurou still smiled, held his chest high and moved on.
~~~~~
Soon after his appointment as Fire Pillar, Kyoujurou came home for the first time in what seemed to be months. He arrived beaming with pride and hope, maybe father will acknowledge my efforts, he told you as he entered the house, with his brother in tow, he had greeted his brother outside as he swept the front path, and headed towards Shinjuro’s room. Kyoujurou was hopeful, that with his accomplishment, that his father turn around and become more active in his sons’ lives, as well as yours.
“Do you think things will change now?” Senjuro asked in a small voice, as you watched his older brother round the corner. The poor boy just wanted his father, he had grown tired of the drunk man that had replaced him.
“I don’t know, we just have to remain hopeful,” You wanted to hold the same hope as he did, but you highly doubted that anything would truly change. Shinjuro was too reclusive and tool depended on alcohol now.
Placing a tender hand on the young boy’s back, you guided him through the house, away from his father's room. The both of you would just have to wait for Kyoujurou.
~~~~~
What transpired between Kyoujurou and his father, was just as you expected. Their father's reaction wasn't even happy, let alone enthusiastic, he didn't even acknowledge or have the slightest bit of pride in Kyoujurou's hard work. Whilst it struck a chord with you, you know it would've broken your fiance's heart even further. Not getting the acknowledgement his carved from his own father, would've been unimaginable, but he probably expected it all the same.
You saw him at the family altar, soon after,paying his respects to his ancestors and telling his late mother of the achievement he had accomplished. If Ruka was still here, you were sure she would've been absolutely proud of her eldest son, she would've acknowledged his efforts. She was an amazing woman, someone you aspire to be like; as a future wife and as a mother. The fact that she was no longer here to witness the milestones both of her sons, tugged your heart strings.
~~~~~
The evening meal was nothing out of the ordinary, as usual Kyoujurou acted as if nothing happened at all. He spoke animatedly like he always did, and complemented your cooking, as well as, his brothers efforts in cooking the rice. It was just another meal in the Rengoku residence, while Kyoujurou was home.
You had delivered Shinjuro’s meal to him before you had your own with the brothers, and before Senjuro left to clear up his father's dishes, you encouraged him to withdraw for the day, after he was finished.
Time with Kyoujurou was, of course, precious for Senjuro, but he understood that you may have wanted some private time with him. But this time for a different reason, something you didn't inform the younger boy.
As Senjuro set off towards his father’s room, Kyoujurou also retired to his own room, but not before sneaking past you, for a bottle of sake for one.
~~~~~
At the door to his bedroom, you heard nothing coming from within, the only give away that someone was inside was from the glow of the candles that were lit.
“Anata…” you announce your presence, calling him by his pet name, from the closed door. You both have yet to wed, but you still acted like a married couple and the marriage was now most definitely in the books with him becoming a Pillar and his twenty-first birthday.
“... I’m coming in.”
Silently, you move to slide the door open, your slight flickering over to the now kimono clad man, as you entered, closing the door behind you, before making your way over to him. On the small table in front of him, was the bottle of sake for one and the tell tale signs that he had at least one cup thus far.
Holding the sleeve of your own kimono back, you reach out for the bottle, “... here.” You offer to fill his cup up, and in response he picked up the cup and downed the dry liquid once you had filled it.
Kyoujurou’s mood was passive, a stark contrast to what it was earlier when Senjuuro was around. The optimistic, energetic personality of Rengoku Kyoujurou was nothing but a front. Not just to keep him moving forward, but also for his brother and anyone else who looked up to him.
You were acutely aware of this, and he knew that too. You had told him in the past, that when it was just the two of you, he could let down his guard. But even that was seemingly impossible task, it was as if he had programmed himself to be optimistic around everyone, no matter who it was.
As you poured him another cup of sake, a comfortable silence remained between the two of you. You wanted Kyoujurou to talk to you about how he felt, but again, it would be near impossible without a little prodding, but first, you needed to get him more comfortable, and feel safe in doing so.
You got up to the door that opened out to the courtyard garden, opening it slightly, to allow some cool evening air to enter the room. “Kyoujurou,” you murmured his name, gesturing him to come and rest his head on your lap. Not only would the cool air will lessen the effect of the alcohol in his system, and so he could become more relaxed.
Slowly he shifted from his spot by the table, abandoning the alcohol, and gravitated towards you. As you gestured moments before, he rested his head on your lap and your fingers immediately began to comb through his hair.
A small sigh erupted from his lips, as you brushed a few locks of hair away from his face. As he stared outside, where the crickets were making their nightly call. The rejection of Shinjuro must've affected him a lot more severely, than you first imagined.
Bending down a little more, your lips grazed his temple before whispering words of encouragement into his ear. At times like this, this is when your duties of a good wife truly played their role. Your engagement to Kyoujurou might've been arranged, but the two of you had fallen in love long ago and you wouldn't change your companionship with him for the world.
You watched his eyes soften, and glaze over with tears.With a small sniff, one of his hands found yours, and his thumb drew small circles on the back of your palm. “Thank you, my love.” he murmured, and you smiled down at him.
If he was going to shoulder all the weight and expectations of his family, and the Demon Slayers. You would, in turn, shoulder his emotional baggage and be the person he can come to when needed.
Hello and welcome!!
My name is Ash, I'm a brand new KNY prompt-slash-writing blog (this is also a side blog from my main).
My inbox is currently open, and please, feel free to send me something. Also, please read my rules page, I have a few to start off with and more will probably prop up, as time goes on.
I'm currently up to date with the manga, anime and have the data book on hand. My favourite characters are Kyoujirou and Hotaru. Both wonderful husbando material. But....Just keep in mind that this is just a hobby, something on the side, so please respectful and patient with me.
Thank you!!!
