last song I listened to: Too Sweet by Hozier cause I've been listening to it on repeat as background noise as I read a comic and i think I've definitely fucked my spotify statistics

sweet/savory/spicy?: i have a crazy sweet tooth and am often craving chocolate at inopportune times (re: 2am). I have like no spice tolerance, it's bad even for a white person T_T

current obsession: stardew valley has been consuming my waking hours, my sleep schedule has fallen victim. I've also been returning to my high school roots and getting unwell about the Throne of Glass book series; the mc is the blorbo im torturing rn

currently watching: only thing I can think of is dungeon meshi? I'm not a huge tv person and I usually watch half a season of something and then forget it exists (case in point even tho I love it I'm like 4 episodes behind dm releases lmao)

sweet/savory/spicy?: also have a major sweet tooth, and I love to bake and have been prolific with all my free time lately, but also a ton of my cooking recently has been focused on spicy, and I don't feel content if it doesn't have red pepper flakes or chili crisps or smth on top

What is this about the tumblr staff wanting to sell art data to midjourney?

An ex-colleague of mine mentioned yesterday that there may be contacts between Automattic and midjourney in that direction, but nothing is public yet and I don't have any more info. They probably won't have anything specific to share either, since they left the company weeks ago too. That being said:

I have no reason to doubt my ex-coworker word, they are a trustworthy person.

Tumblr's CEO has been absurdly enthusiastic (comically, even) about AI, and is a big fan of LLMs and 'AI' companies.

A deal with midjourney could solve tumblr financial issues (not the same company, but openAi is paying up to 5 million/year to news companies to use their content as training data... tumblr generates several orders of magnitude more content than any newspaper or any media company and it only would need a 20 to 30 million per year deal to be profitable)

So I don't have any extra info yet, but I'm keeping my ears open.

I am going to be inconsolable when neverafter ends what am i supposed to do without them in my life. I’m gonna have to turn off my wednesday alarm >_>

but at the same time i have so much trust in brennan and the cast that they will make the story end in a satisfying way. In a campaign about stories ending I have no doubt the end is going to be bittersweet and beautiful.
