OFMD SEASON 2, EPISODE 4 SPOILERS

This has been said a few times around the web but it's so important to me that Stede didn't tell Ed about Chauncey yet.

Before I continue, Stede needs to. At some point. Ed needs to know what happened to him. And Stede needs to tell him how he walked through his own trauma, and with the help of his wife, came out the other side knowing he has worth. More importantly, worth that isn't just dependent on if Ed forgave him or reciprocated his feelings.

When Ed found out about Stede going back to Mary, we was obviously angry. And the old (season 1) Stede would have gladly jumped up and thrown Chauncey up as a distraction. This is the same man who chanted "talk it through, as a crew" but refused to acknowledge any of his own feelings. Season One(tm) Stede would have immediately folded into himself about how he ruins everything.

Season 2(tm) Stede? No, he absolutely stood his ground and owned up to what happened. Stede did a bad thing because he convinced himself that he would ruin Ed (even tho Ed never gave him any indication of that) and owned up to it. And I think that's why them making up as quickly as they did makes sense to me.

Which brings me to what Stede did pivot to. They were moving too fast. Stede told Ed he was scared. Ed might have been all in, but Stede barely knew what he was feeling. It took him talking to Mary, someone he trusted with his raw feelings. Something he didn't know how to trust Ed with yet.

It means so much to me that Stede didn't go on the defensive in that moment and blame Chauncey.

Stede's grown so much ❤️❤️

Good Omens 2 Spoilers (if anyone cares anymore)

Every once in a while I see a few posts online about how season 2 is full of really bad romance tropes. And I don't wanna tell anyone how to feel, and I just assumed everyone knew but like-

Wasn't that the point of this season? That romance doesn't work like a Jane Austen novel or a romcom? That it takes actual communication?

I'm sure this has been heavily discussed elsewhere, whatever. But it feels obvious.

Like. The whole "caught in the rain" trope. That's not how people decide who to spend their whole lives with! "Locked in a shop together?" People don't just magically decide fate locked them up and that they should fall in love. First dance? Have you ever danced with someone you're not used to dancing with? Clumsy, and awkward, and not at all really that romantic.

The only ACTUAL romance that got a full conclusion was the two who sat down and actually communicated. They didn't tip toe around "sides" as some fun little game. They didn't constantly backtrack and try to convince the other that they don't actually like each other. They just... talked about what was important. And what wasn't. And everything in between.

"It felt rushed-" Yeah, anything is gonna feel rushed next to a 6000+ year slow burn fanfiction between an angel and a demon who refuse to talk about their feelings.

Love isn't something that just falls into your lap like a fanfiction. You have to work to make it WORK.

I'm not going to sit here and tell people that they're wrong if they didn't like the season. I think I liked it because I love romcoms. And the whole season has this smugness that was just screaming "YES. THERE'S ONLY ONE BED. HOWEVER, NEITHER ONE OF THEM ACTUALLY HAVE TO SLEEP." All while Beez and Gabriel not only both had their own bed, they discussed the possibility of pushing them together.

My Dad is finally catching up on WWDITS and I walk by while he's watching the SEASON 5 FINALE and he just says "Oh! Yeah, I forgot everyone in the house were vampires."

I'm not making fun of him. I just wish. That I could understand the world through his eyes sometimes. Every episode of a TV show is like brand new media to him.
