what's your headcanon/theory regarding the fact that there are actual carriage-pushing horses on the sylvanian families universe? I just discovered this and had to come ask you. For some reason you imprinted as a the "sylvanian families person of tumblr" to me <3

Firstly, I love that last part lol so sweet <3 and for the horses...it bothers me lol It caused a lot of chaos in the fandom when the new ponies came out. The calico critter storage case also has photos of just...4 legged dogs..on the background and Im like???? so i pretend none of it exists lol But I guess its a Goofy vs Pluto thing...some just didn't..transform? Turn into humanoids? Be granted further cognizance?? idk..it's weird. Otherwise you have to face that fact that sweet Sylvania has a whole species divide where some are literal work horses and the others get the priveleged of running a salon and wearing clothes. Maybe the fairies from the Misty Forest series have something to do with it...

There's also that thing where people make up their own version of the how the story would go if X was true that isn't very good and then use that as proof it wouldn't/shouldn't happen.

"Oh if R+L=J is true that would make asoiaf a traditional secret prince/chosen one narrative!" What about anything that has happened in the series so far indicates that GRRM would play that trope straight?

sometimes u see asoiaf fans like ‘can’t believe im seeing people thinking X is gonna happen read the books dumb dumb’ and then X is something that is practically halfway to canon

the fact that neither kendall nor logan ever seem to find out that greg had spent the night with andrew dodds the day before he died is insane to me. one has to assume that andrew took greg to the very same place that kendall and logan visit, too, considering how close it is to the wedding venue. greg was there. he probably got snuck through the halls of andrew's parents' house in the middle of the night, and smoked weed (and hooked up) with him in his bedroom, and stayed the night. did greg meet andrew's parents, you think? did they see him in the morning or did andrew make sure that they'd never cross paths? did they have any idea their son had brought someone over? and if they did, did they ever mention it tangentially? the doddses knew their son was a bit of a wild one but didn't want to admit it and make it look like it was his fault he died - that much is said by logan. but maybe they also said that it's just even more of a shock because of how things were before. he seemed perfectly fine the previous night, in fact he brought someone home from the wedding, a very nice boy, he seemed like he'd wanted to see him again. and there's just no way to know that it was greg, so no one knows. but it's so fucked up to imagine logan hearing this, or really in general speaking to andrew's parents at all, and just having no clue. i mean, does greg himself even know that it was the same guy he smoked and slept with who died? did colin ever go to him and say "i know you were with him the night before, but i want to assure you that no one suspects anything from you"? or did even he not know? is this just greg's little secret forever?

#I've never actually subscribed to the 'Greg slept with Andrew' idea #but I def think he knew it was him who died when he reported it at breakfast the next morning #he specifically references how the staff is acting about it which indicates he's talked to staff about it #I imagine they told him because Greg had a rapport with them/Andrew #his undereaction is certainly a point in favor of the 'Greg doesn't experience empathy' reading #but imho he was intentionally downplaying and distancing himself from any connection to the whole thing #because he thinks he might get in trouble and because he doesn't want people to know he gets on better with staff than the guests #he is good at compartmentalizing for sure #succession posting
