Okay but that sequence in the Sandman comics when Dream kills his son and then goes about several other meetings and tasks, in his standard reserved yet competent manner and he keeps his hands firmly in the folds of his clothing until he reaches the Dreaming and takes his bloody hands out bearing witness to a horrible truth only when he is truly alone? I felt that.

Ranking Lucifer Morningstar's Outfits!

I said that I would do this, and I am keeping my word

Below is the ranking for ten of Lucifer Morningstar's comic outfits (sorry not sorry Netflix Lucifer fans) along with the issues that these outfits/photos came from. I did ranking for other outfits, but these are the ones that were requested or stick out the most in my head. I might do a part two if I have the energy. But for now, enjoy my opinions.

Lucifer's Edgy Phase — 7/10

Summary Notes:

I have nothing against the go-to outfits, but please give him something different to wear.

Lucifer (2000) did have some good outfits every now and then, but other times, ehhh not so much. Sandman Present: Luci on the other hand, never misses.

I did not include Sandman: Season of Mists Lucifer, Lucifer (2016), or Lucifer (2018), but it's not because I forgot about them, I promise. If i make a part two, it will include them.

oh my GOD do i have so many theories / opinions about dream's death.

short answer: yes.

definitely less short answer: there were multiple people involved in circumstance of dream's death, but ultimately dream knew that, at some point, he was going to receive punishment from the furies for spilling family blood. when dream made the agreement to kill orpheus, he knew that he had broken the rules, and he would eventually be punished for it. do i think that lyta rushed the process? yes, absolutely. but, i do not think that lyta is the sole cause of his death. lyta would not have been able to kill morpheus if it wasn't for him giving the furies justification to do so. lyta was definitely used as a pawn to enable the furies and eventually cause the climax of dream's downfall, but dream's downfall would've happened either way, because of the choices he previously made. so, yes. i do think dream caused his own death, and lyta just assisted him in that.

in your opinion, did Dream commit suicide? discuss in the reblogs/replies - i’ve heard a few different theories about this and i’m curious what everyone on here thinks!!

i need to redo my ranking lucifer morningstar post but with lucifer’s outfits instead. i’ve very passionate about them

Just saying, the introductory panel for Lucifer is still just. Excellent. The ethereal looking character design that’s basically just the cover of the 1969 “David Bowie” album. The jumpsuit. How he is 100% aware of the fact that Morpheus just escaped an 80 year captivity and is taking the opportunity to be an asshole about it.

I still love the Season of Mists and Mike Carey design (SoM is my favorite arc and the 2000 run is amazing), but nothing will beat his Preludes and Nocturnes design IMO.
