stellaris doesn’t really offer the kind of customization and playstyle to really reflect something like the terrans from starcraft

Jesus Fucking Christ

Tumblr asked me how I felt about their website today. I was given the choices of a frown, a "meh", and a smile. When I chose the frown, they asked why. I told them the following: Censorship. Slowly over the last 3 years or so you've been chipping away at what used to make this place great- freedom of speech and freedom of expression. Just like the other social media giants- Facebook, Google, and Twitter- you've become the epitome of what's wrong with the internet today. I've been boycotting those websites for some time now. I may consider boycotting Tumblr too if the censorship continues to worsen. Parents are responsible for what they let their kids see on the internet. It's not your job to censor it for them. Now some of my favorite blogs are going away because you're putting the final nail in the coffin and censoring, ostracizing, and purging all adult content, despite the vast majority of your users being adults. Screw you.

*sigh* Fuck Censorship. The best thing about this website, that is, the lack of censorship, has been slowly but surely dying for like 3 years now, and it's finally coming to an end. I'm already boycotting Google, Twitter, and Facebook because of the censorship (and have been for awhile), but I was just getting back into using Tumblr. I'm not sure yet if I'll boycott Tumblr or not, but regardless, I sure won't use it as much as I otherwise would have if they hadn't done this.

It is a sad day to see this...

I did so much art and talking and growing on here since I joined to follow some ask blogs back in 2012(?), but, oh well! It would be the CIA if anything, but not really. The FBI is known to take down highly influential "radicals" in the states like they did with MLK Jr. if im not mistaken, but the CIA takes care of matters abroad. However, Lily Peet is still an esoteric fringe of an influential figure in society. Also, cultural tensions have made opinions like hers far too common for them to be able to do anything anyway. They can't afford many martyrs because they'll have a revolution and chaos on their hands. Simply tweeting die at Trump is nothing compared to what i and many others have said either publically or privately on the internet to or about many politicians on the internet, on both the conservative and liberal sides of the spectrum. Take these screencaps for example.

Wait there are people that can't get shit done unless somebody's there to at least growl at them from time to time? Jesus, and here I am and go crazy and act like an incompetent dumbass when Im being watched, but when I'm alone I'm decent.

It’s probably not surprising that folks with executive dysfunction often have little difficulty getting stuff done when there’s someone around to tell us what to do and supervise us doing it. What’s perhaps more surprising is that it’s not necessarily due to fear of punishment: having a supervisor is effective even if the supervisor in question has no ability to actually compel obedience. Basically, “following direct orders” seems to be a totally separate executive pathway from “self-motivating”, and having trouble with the one doesn’t necessarily mean having trouble with the other.

Which, of course, is why you can end up with situations where your own self-care is garbage, but caring for your pet is totally fine: the benefit of having a supervisor ordering you around can be realised even if the party giving the orders is a cat.
