The Eidetic Afterlife Hypothesis: a reinterpretation of death and dying
In cooperation with Santa Ana Literary Association, we present to you The Eidetic Afterlife Hypothesis. For those who experience anxiety regarding the subject of death, this book is a strange light in the darkness. There is another way of understanding the afterlife, a way that is sensible and measurable as well as impartial and universal, hidden in plain sight beneath the broad categories of theism, agnosticism, and atheism.

Paper Press Books & Assoc. Publ. Co. is proud to present
- C A U L D R O N S -
“Cauldrons,” K.R. Morrison has woven a tight nest of verse with plenty of room to sift, wander, and contemplate. Bring a candle with you… and your sharpest blade. Cauldrons is among the finest in new incantation poetry.
Here’s what people are saying about this chapbook:
KR’s imagery is of a mystic enveloping a cauldron whose image is that of a hand we wish to see, stirring behind our backs. You will face it! This word work is for those confronting countless evictions from the magic of self-worth, a systemic predilection the moon itself can’t resist.
—Tureeda Mikell, Story Medicine Woman Synchronicity, The Oracle of Sun Medicine
This striking collection is fueled by a distinct and feminine voice and is alive with lush and shimmering imagery, full of magic, blood, and grace.
—William Taylor, Jr. Pretty Things To Say
K.R. Morrison is a gifted witch poet who weaves tales of reclamation. Her poems make me dizzy with literary pleasure.
– MK Chavez Dear Animal

LUMEN DE LUMINE
We are very excited to offer this fascinating collection of Norman Dubie’s aphorisms, dubbed a fragment and prequel to The Clouds of Magellan, this book is designed to be a talisman, a hermetic and alchemical notebook of verse and wisdom, spanning time, literature, consciousness, nothing less than cosmic.

It’s Flip Through Friday! Check out our new book, Bitten by Witch Fever: Wallpaper & Arsenic in the Victorian Home (NK3400 .H39 2016 Stacks).
“Beautiful to look at and compelling to read, this book is a highly original and captivating volume that interleaves facsimile sections of alluring, arsenic-laden wallpapers with thought-provoking narrative. It is tracing the arresting story of the use and effects of the toxic pigments ingrained in popular wallpapers of the nineteenth century. Hawksley presents the history of Scheele’s green and schweinfurt green, pigments created using arsenic, which produced the vibrant shades whose brilliance made them instant favorites with wallpaper designers and householders alike.
With the aid of contemporary case studies and reports in the press, she reveals how, by the middle of the century, manufacturers were producing millions of rolls of arsenical wallpaper, with devastating consequences for those working in their factories and for those living in rooms decorated with the deadly designs.”
