death the kid is such a… weird character. i cant think of another character like him because he’s so weird. like, he’s the son of the grim reaper with horrible ocd and perfectionism issues and also he dresses like a preppy goth in full tuxedo but he also rides a skateboard named beelzebub and does cool tricks on it whenever presented the opportunity also he has guns. none of those character traits sound like they belong to the same person. hes somehow both the coolest and lamest character in the show.
I'm alive, and I've been told the proper way to do college is to procrastinate everything until the last second, so to keep true to that, I've been rewriting one of my stories, and now, I need to I guess see if y'all like it and it's even worth continuing? I dunno, I'm alive, but I'm zombied. Here's an excerpt.
What To Do Now: Rewrite.
Chapter 1: Time
Lucy sighed, her breath coming out harsher than she’d even realize. Her fingernails tapped rhythmically as she stared at the clock, tapping in beat with the ticks and tocks. Her life had practically fallen apart when Master had announced almost two months ago to the day the disbanding of the guild. One by one she watched her friends around her pack their bags and leave Magnolia. She pleaded with each, telling, begging them not to leave, that Master had to be joking; the guild was going to be still here even if Master wasn’t. This was their home after all. Her eyes began to glisten again as thoughts of each of her teammates picking up their bags and leaving swarmed her mind. Gray left first, with Juvia on his heels, because of course wherever Gray-sama went, Juvia was sure to follow. Gray swore to Lucy that he’d only be gone a few weeks; he just needed to train.
Lucy hoped he spoke the truth, but months had passed, and she still hadn’t even gotten a letter. Erza followed next, leaving less than a day later after following a hutch Jellal had sent her. Lucy begged to let her go with her, saying they were better off together anyways, but Erza protested, not knowing when she’d return or what was going to happen, or where she was even going. Lucy knew better than to expect a letter from her, but she still held on to hope. Levy and Gajeel were next to leave, followed by the Thunder Legion; then one by one after that, they all left, until it was only Lucy still here. Tears dropped onto the table, forming a building puddle. Her mind kept focusing on the clock, hoping it would distract her just enough. Seconds passed, then minutes, tears still dropping heavy as soft sobs filled the room. Lucy didn’t know how much time had passed, but she didn’t care either. This was her day. This was what her days had become ever since. Her friends were gone. “No, not friends,” she thought to herself. “My family is gone.” Those words echoed in her mind. Lucy closed her eyes, as she brought her hands to her face. She was harshly wiping away her tears, afraid that one of them would open the door at any moment. Her heart almost skipped a beat when she heard the noise next to her. She jumped up, frantically wiping her eyes one more time before they darted around, searching for the noise. They stopped once she caught the bright light, and the source of the disturbance. The golden light disappeared leaving behind a figure. “Loke,” Lucy whispered.
“Hey, Beautiful.” His tone was soft, as he closed the distance between them. He pulled her up and into his arms. She had been crying again, and although she tried her best to hide it yet again, he could still tell. “I missed you.” He whispered as he pulled her closer to his chest. She’s cold. He thought to himself. She’s been here all day. His eyes darted around the room. Her cup of coffee on the desk was old, he could tell that just by glancing over. Her sheets were bundled at the foot of the bed, instead of being neat and perfectly made. Her towel was in a ball on the floor, instead of hanging up. She showered today, so at least that’s progress, the lion thought to himself before kissing the top of her head. Seeing his hime like this was rough, but he understood. He squeezed her tenderly one more time before lifting her face to him. Lucy looked away, knowing immediately that he could tell she was crying that that always made him upset. He stared at her, gazing into her eyes before placing another soft kiss on her forehead this time. “Let’s get you into bed.” He muttered under his breath before guiding her.

She does beautiful sketches and agreed to send me one to work on! I've never done an art collab before and it was so much fun. Go check her out!
I was really flattered that the sketch she sent me was inspired by one of my fanfics, "Wavering Destiny" chapter 18. I wrote it so long ago, but when I saw the sketch, it was like she reached into my mind I loved it and hope I did it justice with the coloring side. #teamwork
