I recolored one of my favorite rugs in the game (the stones of stepping) to better match 4t2 foliage and decor. I haven't seen anything like this out there, so here's my 'lil thank you to y'all! 💛

I love the original maxis swatches, but I have so much 4t2 cc in my game, it's a little ridiculous, bwahah. You can see the differences between maxis' and mine. It's kinda subtle, but I feel like mine look a little more rounded and less flat. The one thing I'm a bit annoyed with is the fact that my recolors are a tad darker than kayleigh-83's rocks, but I can live with that. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

UPDATE! Thanks to kayleigh-83, I was able to make these match her rocks, yaaay! I've updated SFS and it's all good! 😆💛

🪨 Desert Rocks 🌵

Hey, y'all! I was decorating Strangetown and felt bothered by the flatness and lack of scenery. I decided to take a shot at editing the colors on some of my favorite 4t2 rocks by @leoz94, and since they turned out good, I thought I'd share them with you today!

⚠️ You can't have both mine and leoz's in your game, so you must choose one (I'm sorry). I'd ideally like to have both, but I don't know how to do that at the moment.

These were made to match lordcrump's default desert terrain because that's what I use. I'm not sure how these would look with other ones. I'd be happy to make ones that match other defaults if it's requested/wanted. 💛

It's my birthday!!! 👻🎉

we're going to my partner kiwi and I's favorite coffee shop, and our partner mango has never been before so that exciting! she's not from this side of ohio. we're gonna go there and then to my faaavorite restaurant to get burrito bowls. I used to work there when I was 18 actually, and every time I go in, even five years later, they give me a whopping discount. It's so generous. when we get back, the girls are shooing me from the house to set up for my birthday party they've been planning. (⁠ ⁠･ั⁠﹏⁠･ั⁠)💗 MY HEART. most of my friends are coming (save for the three that are out of state and one who works) and I'm so thrilled! my party is minecraft themed, which started out as a joke, but I can't tell you how excited I am to drink from creeper cups and wear tiny hats. we're gonna have pizza (little caesars because it's the best) and hangout. being 22 was cool but being 23 is cooler. \⁠(⁠ϋ⁠)⁠/💕

my hair and clothing folders 🕯️🍂

my downloads folder has been a work in progress for over a year now after I decided to wipe everything and start over. I have an arsenal of poppet v2 hairs, and I've only kept ones that don't have any weird bald spots or bits. It's been super tedious, and I'm not done collecting them by any means, but I'm happy with the amount I have right now. simPe has become my best friend. I learned how to tweak ages on hairs. now my toddlers and children have hair that isn't super long and strange looking on them. :) when I restarted my downloads folder I realized I really love 4t2 clothing, so that's exclusively what I have. currently I've exhausted everything I loved from skittlessims, hehe. I learned how to recategorize clothing. I looked at every piece and recategorized it based on what I thought was appropriate, and I think it's so cool. for example, I make most of my pants everyday and outerwear, because that just makes sense to me? It's not pictured here, but everything here is in my spreadsheet with links to the original posts, preview images, notes on categories, and a bunch of other goodies. the obvious and aesthetic thing about these folders is that I made the preview image from each folder into its own icon. It helps me see what everything is and it's so cute because it's framed! tldr: I just wanted to share that I'm really proud of these folders, and I'm a nerd about it, so thanks for listening. :) ❤️

Guys, I have one piece of advice for you that will seriously improve your time on simblr: If you love someone's story, let them know. Leave a comment, send an ask, whatever. Do it on anon if you're scared. And don't worry about coming off as unhinged. Honestly, the more details and rambling you put in, the better. There is literally nothing that makes an artist feel better than having someone tell them that they love their work.

So if someone's latest story post made you cry, tell them! Or if their edit gave you chills, tell them!!! And let me tell you a secret. Nothing motivates people to work on their stories more than knowing that other people love them and want to see more.

Nothing feels better than seeing someone answer your ask or reply to your comment, and seeing how happy they are. Trust me on this. It feels amazing. You'll make their day, and make your own day better too. And maybe, just maybe, you'll be the push they need to open their game and work on the next post.

Oh, and if you want them to love you forever, include details! Say what specific lines made you feel so strongly, or offer theories on what's going to happen next. Tell them who your favorite character is, or what antagonist is making your teeth grind. Storytellers put so much effort into their posts and their writing, and having someone pick up on the details is so immensely gratifying.
