have you ever read a fanfic so good that you wanted to write a fanfic about that fanfic, but was too shy / too intimidated to ask for the author’s permission and too afraid that your writing wouldn’t be half as good as theirs and that it would be an insult to their work that was basically a literal masterpiece, so you just sat there fantasizing about their work and how beautiful it was and how you wished you could just eat it and how you wished canon could write your blorbos half as good as this writer did and how you just wanted to cry because you just loved that fic so much????

Hey, I feel like Leo and Gawain's little talk just before Jinako's third SG went over my head.

Since you have a lot of knowledge about the legend of Arthur and Fate in general, is there a context there that I missed?

Well, if you meant this scene:

“Yes,” the knight said with a smile. “The dark clouds of night that have hung over us will be ended. Soon we will see the dull red of the dawn change to a blue sky as if shattered to pieces, and the wind as it stirs the manes of our horses, wrapped in blanket of sunlight through the leaves. We will see the castle gates we have missed so long open to welcome us, quench the thirst we have known so long, and together, with our sworn friends, rejoice at the celebrations for the king’s return…”

Gawain is referencing his memories of a return to Camelot after a long quest and comparing it to the idea of everyone able to safely return from the Far Side. No longer enemies but actual friends, having grown and changed. With Leo truly being the holy king he wanted to be.

Or is there another scene you mean? This is the only one I recall.
