The contrast between these two dances!! They both lead Angel in a dance but it's night and day:

Angel's Dance with Valentino

Angel doesn't have a choice in dancing with Val. It's purely for work

You see these moments of discomfort and worry but Angel quickly puts on a mask. It's choreographed and things are prettied up (just the environment and angel's outfit) it's very artificial all the way around for this spectacle/performance

Valentino isn’t just leading, but quite literally is dragging him on a chain

Val’s also not really dancing with Angel, it's closer to Angel doing a performance for Val's entertainment. There's no real connection between them beyond the chains

Angel's Dance with Husk

It's starts more as a small offer to dance, very old time-y gentleman at some formal dance kinda thing

It's this goofy, little spur of the moment kinda of thing just for them. The dancing is a little awkward and imperfect but they're having fun and just a nice moment together.

Husk gently guides Angel through the steps

Husk and him are on even footing, they're both hand in hand and are trying to go through the motions/steps together. This is the beginning of them forming a genuine connection

I love the symbolism in this scene. Whilst both Husk and Angel are bound and trapped by their contracts, Angel has a more messy and enveloping commitment to Valentino with some flexibility all around (being able to stay at the hotel and so on) whereas Husk is more tightly bound and his bindings are concentrated showing how Alastair has made a cleaner deal, yet Husk cannot get out of being a bartender at the hotel.

I love you characters who are flawed people but still heroic, I love you characters who have to make shitty choices but are still doing the best they can and caring so deeply about other people, I love you characters who have to compromise themselves because the alternative is worse, I love you characters who are less than perfect but still make the choice to do the best thing possible, I love you characters who cannot magically solve the dilemma because sometimes there isn't a secret special option that saves the day perfectly, I love you characters who have flaws but that doesn't mean you're supposed to fault them, I love you characters who should get to just be instead of having everything examined in whether or not it means they should be pilloried, I love you characters who get to make mistakes but you understand why and they're still good people.

I mean yeah, of course the meaning is obviously different, I’d be very concerned if it was the same lol but I’m speaking from a subconscious standpoint, it’s an odd choice. More Than Anything is such an emotionally poignant moment between Charlie and Lucifer to the point that you intensely connect that song with their relationship that using that specific melody for a moment between Charlie and Vaggie feels extremely strange. It was previously used as a father/daughter love song, so I can’t help but equate it with familial love rather than romantic.

Okay, I love Hazbin Hotel, it’s phenomenal but Charlie and Vaggie’s little love duet is the one thing I think the show got completely wrong. Like… why are they reprising a song Charlie previously sang with her father??

It’s such an odd choice and I genuinely hate it.
