Kate and I also went to York during our easter break :) It was very lovely, and we had a great day, with a visit to the Ministry, the oldes pub in town and a lot of beautiful views :)

It's my birthday today!!! I got some awesome presents, and had a really nice day :) Originally me and the girls had planed to go to a tea room, but it closed at 5, so we went to a hot chocolate place instead 😍 Ich hab heute Geburtstag!!! Ich hab einige super tolle Geschenke bekommen, und hatte einen echt schönen Tag :) Ursprünglich wollte ich mit den Mädels Tee trinken gehen, aber das Café hat leider schon um 5Uhr zu gemacht :( Statt dessen haben wir diesen super tollen Schokoladen Laden gefunden und haben alle heiße Schokolade getrunken und Scones, Kuchen und Croissant gegessen :)

My weekend in Sheffield. Last weekend I visited my friend Matt in Sheffield :) We did some touristy stuff, like walking through the city to look at famous/important/pretty buildings, went to a museum (where I found a soup turtle 😍), had pies for lunch, watched an ice Hokey game (Go Steelers! 😜) and ended the day with an awesome party at Pop Tarts 😊 All in all I had a fabulous weekend! Thank you, Matt 😊 Mein Wochenende in Sheffield. Letztes Wochenende hab ich Matt in Sheffield besucht :) Wir haben einige typische Touristen Sachen gemacht, tolle Gebäude besichtigt, waren in einem Museum (guckt euch die Schildkröten Suppen ‘Schale’ an 😍), haben Pies zum Mittag gegessen, uns ein Eishockey Spiel angeguckt, und waren dann Abends im Pop Tarts feiern :) kurz und knapp also ein wundervolles Wochenende! 😊 Danke Matt! 😊)

Just a short update :) In the first picture you can see the pool I have swim practice at. It's pretty awesome, even if it really takes some getting used to to swim clockwise 😂 The second picture is the foyer of the English building. The English society seems to be really nice, and they have a free tea, coffee and cake meeting every Tuesday. Guess where I'll be at that time? 😜 The pillow seen in the last picture was sewn by me in a cushion making class I went to 😊 it was a lot of fun, and (luckily) I was better at it than I thought 😂 (Dieses mal leider etwas kürzer... Im ersten Bild ist unser Pool zu sehen. Der ist echt super! Mit Wellenbrecherleinen und angrenzendem Fitnessstudio. Nur an das im Uhrzeigersinn schwimmen hab ich mich noch nicht so richtig gewöhnen können 😅😂 Im zweiten Bild ist das Englisch Gebäude zu sehen. Die Englisch Fachschaft veranstaltet jeden Dienstag ein Tee trinken, mit Tee, Kaffee und Kuchen, wo ich von jetzt an wohl regelmäßig anzutreffen sein werde 😜 Das Kissen im letzten Bild habe ich in einem 'Mach dein eigenes Kissen'-Workshop selber genäht! Das ganze hat echt Spaß gemacht, und ich war (zum Glück) besser darin als gedacht 😂)

Hey everyone!! Leeds has been treating me great. I really love this city 😊 The first picture is the building I live in. My room is on the 7th floor 😜 That church with the colorful windows is a restaurant/food place that just opened last Friday. They seem to sell baked potatoes and do all-you-can-eat pancake Saturdays 😊 guess where me and my flatmates are gonna be next Saturday?! 😜 After that the pictures show Parkinson Building and ‘The Great Hall’. I went inside to find said hall, but I couldn’t find it…. Magic? This week all the pictures were taken on campus, and -to be honest - there are still so many places to explore, I could probably run this blog for a reeeeeealy long time ;) my plan is, to upload something new every week (if not, at least every other week). What else has been happening? I joint the Swimming Society and the English Society, became really good friends with a Dutch girl called Mieke, and my Flatmate Michael got cast as Danny Zuko in Grease, so we’re all gonna watch Grease next month ❤️ (Ich werd das noch auf deutsch übersetzen, aber jetzt ist’s grad schon etwas spät 😜)
