Sweetie's ice cream truck!

I hardly ever draw vehicles so this was a really interesting experience ;7; it probably looks a little wonky (but i hope its oki! ;v; )

Info about the ice cream truck below!

As stated before, Sweetie does not drive the ice cream truck, she's more of a 'passenger' if anything. but that someone she called ‘Mr. Frosty' would instead be driving it. It is unclear if she means the truck itself can drive on its own or if there is another worker driving the truck. No one has ever been seen in the passenger seat of the truck. So mysterious!

The expressions of the front of the truck can change, from simple expressions like: Happy, sad, sleepy, and tired. However the truck itself is not a living character. Boo :(

The face of the ice cream scoop on top of the truck can always be seen wherever the camera is facing. (in a similar "mickey's ears must always be in frame" type fashion) Isn't that neat!

Apparently, the inside of the truck's much bigger than first appears. As in some pieces of scripts, it's mentioned that even the larger characters (Barnaby, Poppy, and Howdy) are able to walk around in the ice cream truck with no issue (only crouching to enter in the door) Very roomy!

In a set of recovered toy adds, it seems like Sweetie's ice cream truck was a featured toy next to some toy houses belonging to each of the neighbors. How fun!

According to small snippets of old scripts and pages from old children's books, Taylor Sweetie was a ice cream truck driver who, while not actually living in the neighborhood, would often visit the residents of Home, giving ice cream to all the neighbors free of charge. 

She seems to have the closest relationship to Howdy, the two often trading recipe cards. However Sweetie is friendly with all of the neighbors, so they are as happy to see her as she is them!

So much so that the neighbors often called her ‘Sweetie’ rather than her name ‘Taylor.’ Because to them, she’s the sweetest!

As noted from some blueprints that are still in the middle of being recreated, it seems like Sweetie used a variety of wacky gadgets and tools in order to make ‘the perfect ice cream’ for each of the residents of Home. 

Sweetie would specially craft each frosty treat to the neighbors tastes and even feelings. In some notes it was listed that Sweetie would twirl in a ballerina-like fashion while making her ice cream, and always finished each creation with a special catchphrase.

“With a sprinkle of happiness and a cherry on top, this sweet treat’s sure to make you smile!” 

In small recovered pieces of scripts it seems Sweetie also made more than just ice cream, bringing special hot chocolate drinks in winter episodes. It seems all of her food creations were sweet in nature. 

Old scripts reveal that Sweetie did in fact ‘not’ drive her ice cream truck, but that someone she called ‘Mr. Frosty' would instead be driving it. It is unclear if she means the truck itself can drive on its own or if there is another worker driving the truck, as the windows of the truck are not see through, so  its unknown if anyone is sitting in the front seat.

Many of her segments had her appear to give advice to troubled characters, and while her advice would sound random they seemed to spark resolve in many of the characters who were dealing with the problem of the episode. 

It seems like she was a popular enough side character that she was featured in many children's books, had her own recipes in a ‘Welcome Home’ themed cookbook, and had a series of real life ice cream bars labeled “Welcome Home: Sweetie’s Sweet Bars”, featuring the likeness of several characters from the series.

Twisted Wonderland sona? ABSOLUTELY.

I was going to shade the other bit, but uhh...the first one was enough to kill me. I roughly inspired my sona to be based around myself and my favorite disney princess l o l

I haven't done any art related stuff in a long time so it's refreshing to come back with something.

I wasn't too sure what I wanted my sona's hair to do? At first I thought if I should do my standard 'half up in a bun' hairstyle. My brain was like n o do this instead. It'll look better with the princess you are going for.

And so it was done.

I'm pretty content with it. I should have included it in the picture, but my sona would carry a small messenger purse. Like one of those little ita bags! It would have cute charms and such on the sides.

- Like Silver, she does not have a last name, or has never mentioned it. She also, similar to Silver, can unintentionally attract creatures to her. However instead of woodland animals she seems to attract butterflies. 

- She seems extremely unaware of modern terms and slang that many other students her age use. She has also never cursed before.

- She owns two ‘magical tools’. The first is her parrot umbrella which can produce a magical shield, it also doubles as her magical pen as the umbrella can transform into it thanks to the magical jewel in the place where the parrots eye would be (the gem is not white but would be the color of whichever dorm she is in) And it can also be used in place of a broom as well since it also has floating and flying capabilities. The second magical tool is her navy blue, floral printed, carpet bag. It is magical in the sense that it is much bigger on the inside and can hold a multitude of objects within it, making it the best item for moving around from place to place. 

- Her special hat that she can be seen wearing was actually a gift from her grandfather, and had actually belonged to her grandmother and was handed down to her. Along with her two magical tools which also belonged to her. 

- It’s theorized that the flowers on her hat are actually alive, that being that they are living flowers kept alive by some form of magic. They seem in tune with the wearers emotions and wilt or perk up whenever Mari is sad or surprised. - She talks very fondly about her grandparents and seems to hold them to a very high regard and respects them a great deal.

- She seems to refer to Crowley as ‘Uncle Crowley’ and the two seem as though they have been previously acquainted, however the mystery surrounding whatever their relationship is still unknown.

- Mari is well versed in things such as both ballet and singing.

- She volunteers as a nurses aid for the schools infirmary, and usually assist when a student is injured if they’re too far from the infirmary. She’s incredibly knowledgeable on taking are of wounds.  - The fact that she has yet to unlock or discover her unique magic really bothers her, and because of this she is unsure as to why she was placed into the Diasomnia dorm.

This could be me just being dumb but I think practical magic is magic used in daily life and magic analysis is the study of magic.

Out of all of the magical subjects at NRC those two were the main ones I was curious about, “Summoning” too but I think I have a vague understanding of what that one is about ;7;
