This is so true and extremely important.

I have an extremely complex relationship with sex that I'm always too embarrassed to talk about because I feel like it will make me "less" ace to others? But like, at the same time I'm upset that people assume that me being ace means I'm sex-repulsed completely.

My friends lately have been putting words in my mouth and saying things basically implying I'm sex-repulsed and whatnot, and I feel weird trying to correct them because then it sounds like I'm actively looking for sex or not as ace or whatever.

It's really frustrating to be boiled down to stereotypes about my sexuality that aren't even always correct, and it hurts worse to not be able to explain it away without sounding completely sex-positive.
