Biography:
When asked to join the few families of Scarlet Island, the wolves of the Ferra pack refused. Wanting no part of it they retreated back to the Northern woods they called home. This did not set well with the Wolf families of the Island but none tried to sway them. Ferras were known through history as warmongers with an appetite for blood. They have killed for less in the past and with this knowledge the elders believed they would hear no more of the distant isle.
Aeron was born under the stillness of a full winter moon, screaming. Her cries rang trough the dense woodlands. Her father saw it as a great sign, the eldest child of an alpha, the inheritor of his title made the world known, that she was there. Therefore setting her on the path for her future.
At five, Aeron was learning at an exponential rate, during the day she was in her father’s care. They spent time training to fight, hunt, and hone her leadership skills. Most importantly he showed her how to make use of her hands trough carpentry and mechanics. During the nights Aeron’s mother and the elders would teach her about the universe, the stars and their spiritual path. Aeron learned language, history, and warfare strategy from her. Aeron had always been steady, methodical; she absorbed every lesson and applied it as second nature. By twelve she was proficient in hand-to-hand combat and could use any weapon, preferring the bow and the double dao blades to be among her favorite.  She could hunt alone; navigate her way using the stars, make thoughtful decisions for her pack.
It is custom for a Ferra wolf at eighteen to be branded with the family’s symbol on part of their body. An alpha would also brand a symbol of their status on their back and chest for all to see. Her father and elders all agreed that she was ready to take the next step in her training and branded her under moonless summer nigh at thirteen.
Aeron continued to grow and by Twenty-one, she was restless. All her life she had been tucked away in this woodland haven, her family being the only people she would see. She wanted to see where the stars sailed away a night, pass the mountain range. An opportunity arose at dinner. Her father had mentioned a letter that came from her Uncle Cyris. He in his old age needed assistance maintaining his boat and lighthouse in a fishing town in Washington and requested a hand or two could be spared. Aeron quickly offered herself for the task and with much convincing she was allowed to go for two years and then another could relieve her.
Cyris was a humble man with a beard tangled by sea spray and motor oil. All he asked was that Aeron was on time for work and to stay out of trouble. Over the course of the next two years she worked with Cyris, went into town to drink with the other boaters and fishermen, and enjoy her time by the sea. She was twenty-three and very much enjoying her time away from the trees and snow. The town was small but they were friendly. She didn’t want to return to her family up North, like Cyris she wanted to stay by the sea.
One particular night while sitting at the bar Aeron noticed a pair a men out of place from the regulars, talking lowly and glancing in her direction. The wolf shrugged it off, continuing with her nightly routine. Aeron left after last call sodden with alcohol. Strolling towards the street back to Cryis someone struck her across her head. When she awoke, Aeron found herself in a cell.

Edit: Though our character type numbers are still a little off and we could really, really use a few males or non-binaries to balance us out, the giveaway is for all characters. We’re considering going appless in a few weeks and would like to test it out somewhat in this way. @wxxdow

Why are you guys in the appless rp tag if you're not appless?
We’re on a character giveaway at the moment, which in my opinion makes us more or less appless for the time being. I thought it’d be a good way to attract people looking for a somewhat appless group while we can! We’re also thinking of going completely appless in a few weeks to see how it turns out.
