BuckTommy has so many ship names, but they reflect how multifaceted the relationship is.
My first instinct was to go with Kinkley because they are both so hot. I'm ace, but they light up my brain.
I also agree with Kinley because I want Tommy to be part of the firefam. They're his kin but he never got that from working there before.
I like Tevan, because I love that Tommy calls him by the name so few others do. It's special and healing.

It is so crazy how perfect Tommy is for this arc. How throwaway lines have so much more meaning now. How fascinating I find his character, in a way I simply wouldn't if he was brand new. The 118 has given me so much comfort and love and I desperately want Tommy to feel that too.

I want more Tommy! I want to see him hang out with Chim, and maybe talk things out with Hen. I want him to bond with the 118, and Athena, and to be a part of their family, the extended family. Even if Tommy and Buck eventually, amicably end their romantic relationship, I still want them both to share their friendships and the 118 spirit. I want him to be part of the team, even if he's not part of the 118. I adore him. I need more.

oops. I've been cheating and warping to Ginger island early in the game to dig up artifact spots and have a crow free crop farm, but now I've fixed Willy's boat and paid the 1000 to sail there, and it won't give me the achievement.

hey can you do me a favour?? Can you go get that nice pristine sketchbook or journal you've been hoarding and put some kind of mark on the first page? Anything will do, like a smudge of graphite or a blob of ink, or perhaps a very scribbly dinosaur. Just put something there. Please, or the dinosaur will be sad.

Help. I'm not sure I ship gentlebeard anymore.
It was such a cute romance, when it wasn't the focus of the story, but season 2 made it all about their relationship. I miss the crew, the team, the found family. I was so excited to learn more about them.
To build up a character and then kill him off so Ed would be "free" does not endear me to Ed.
Stede is my favourite character, but he's just a baby gay and he prioritized Ed over the mental wellbeing of his crew. Normal, for a first love, but I don't like it.
The show can't seem to make up its mind whether murder is hilarious or heinous, and I think Ed/Blackbeard is the character who embodies that the most.
If season 2 was such a tonal shift because it was mostly Ed's perspective, I found it too dark. So dark, and occasionally being blinded by light. Not always the smoothest transition.
I really hoped the title of the last episode would be indicative of a balance: sea and land, light and dark, love and hate, war and peace, but it's just all just there, all jumbled up, jarring.
I know we're told the Ed and Stede relationship has good bones, but I'd rather stay on The Revenge.
Stede and Izzy though... I'm just shipping them harder the more I think about it. They would work so well together, and still put the ship and crew first.
Ed spent so much time either terrorizing the crew, running away to be by himself, or awkwardly trying to make amends for maybe an episode.
I want to like Ed more. Stede loves him, but I wished Stede loved Izzy instead. I wish Stede and Izzy were the captains of a reunited revenge, and the crew just existed in harmony and had lowstakes adventures so we could just vibe with them and learn more about the crew.

I HATE that Izzy died, but did he really have to spend his last words comforting Ed with lies? The crew don't love Ed, but even if they did, Ed and Stede leave their found family anyway?
Honestly, I'd have felt a little better about it if Izzy got to interact with the crew. Even if it was comforting Stede about his death. Like, I can imagine Stede feeling so guilty that somebody did die as a result of his "suicide mission". Izzy would use his last words to insult Stede.
"You didn't get me killed, you twat. You helped me live. You and your fokking support and "safe space ship" and your crew. Your soft, caring crew. They spared me. Helped me. Accepted me. I lived more on your ship than I have anywhere else my whole life. Never change, Bonnet. You fokking twat."
And maybe that would have even helped me accept Stede and Ed living their lives, (with the promise the crew will return often)

OFMD tragic post finale, and Fall of the House of Usher
Due to FOTHOU, I'm now imagining Izzy crawling out of his grave, just enough strength to strangle Ed to death. Stede would probably beg Izzy to kill him too, but Izzy would curse him out and then die.
I just can't make sense of giving a life-long sailor a grave.

OFMD - my season 3
I did not vibe with that last episode, and although I'm looking forward to the fix-its on AO3 that will ignore or rewrite it (I'm definitely ignoring it on twitter RP) my personal way of coping is to think of a season 3 that makes sense of that last episode.
I don't care if it doesn't fit with the genre, I need Izzy to be a ghost. A very vocal, very frustrated ghost who haunts the gentlebeard inn. He finds it absurd that they've settled on land when they're both creatures of the sea, and even though Ed and Stede both miss sailing, they stubbornly deny it.
The Inn doesn't get many visitors, but it does seem to be a place where the outcasts seem to end up. Lots of queer young people, and although Ed and Stede do take them in, it's actually Izzy's spirit who helps them the most, talking things through and empathizing.
There's a particularly helpful seagull who helps take a message to Wee John about creating a dress for a young transgirl. The crew return and help fix up the Inn and teach those staying there how to survive off the land.
Jim's brother is a traumatized amnesiac, who is hiding at the Inn out of fear and shame after the things he did after he was kidnapped and brainwashed by those that killed his father. He's so scared that he's a monster, but he quickly falls in love with Izzy and it might end in tragedy. He might die to protect the youngsters at the Inn, die in Jim's arms, but it's okay, because he comes back as a ghost and him and Izzy kiss and the two of them really run the Gentlebeard Inn, with the help of the kids.
Stede and Ed do like being innkeepers, but they miss the ship and having a crew. The invent (possibly extortionate) cruise ships, which is the balance between a gentleman pirate and an innkeeper. They get to sail and have new adventures, whilst Izzy and Jim's brother help the next gen of LGBTQ+ kids find their community, so they will never be forgotten.
