Clerith deniers dominating FFVII fandom and trying to force Cloti down everyone’s throats are toxic as hell. Just because your ship can be perceived as “endgame” thanks to certain plot points and interpretations popularized by the Compilation dosen’t give you the right to unironically bully everyone into submission!

Not to mention denying the existence of a “love triangle” and downplaying every single indication that Aerith might have wanted to love the real Cloud but couldn’t because of her death in favor of a “two people in love, one woman projects her dead ex onto one of the people in love, thankfully she dies” and trying to force this view on the fandom robs the story and the gaming industry of one of it’s greatest tragedies.

The story was always up for interpretation but outright denying parts of the FFVII story that flow stronger when viewed as a “love that could mever be….destroyed by a hatred that always was” weakens parts of the narrative and admittly dosen’t even mesh with Cloud’s guilt post gaining his memories back

Fuck our Sociopolitical Culture for Ben’s sad fate!

Fuck the western capitalist “culture of death” dominating American pop culture discourse (and by extent Anglo-American pop culture as a whole) and their obsession with penance through death if a chance for redemption is given.

Characters like Kylo exist in Japanese(which isn’t left leaning by any measure) and Chinese media always get redeemed and given a chance to live. But here in America you’re either seen as a goody two shoes or you’re seen as literally Hitler and the only way you can get penance, if it’s offered at all, is by dying.

Update on the leaks

It has come to my attention from discussing with various anonymous sources that these set of leaks that Jason Ward, BespinBulletin and JediPaxis were constructed with footage gathered from a source in editing. They very likely mixed personal speculation with what they know from marketing and the editing room footage to explain the scenes they are describing.

This can explain how JW was able to see the money shot.  It was a source in editing that showed him the image, and JW filled in the gaps with his own speculation and what marketing sources know of the final battle and JP most likely did the same.

Right now I have after discussing PMs with various people on reddit that know people that know the source or the source directly that the source originates from the editing panel. The editing panel doesn't have access to dialogue/audio and even full scenes so take it with a major grain of salt.

Don’t lose hope guys!

It’s been a while since I posted here ever but I’m gonna say this.  Reylos, take this alleged “Episode IX plot leak” with discernment.  It’s clear that JediPaxis either is faking stuff, or does indeed know stuff, but is framing it in a decisively pro-fanboy way, just like the original TLJ leaks framed the Kylo situation as “He killed Snoke, no redemption now! REYLOS FOUND DEAD IN MIAMI”.  The way this is written either is all speculation or might have something underneath but it is distorted to fit a certain fanboy “Luke saves us all” agenda.  I will note that with the exception of AT-AT Chat none of the big leakers are particuarly pro-Reylo.  Jason Ward only came around to Bendemption really recently while BespinBulletin is pro-Bendemption but very critical of Reylo and knee deep into fanboi culture.  There may be an effort to distort information, especialyl given the lack of focus on any character dynamics and side characters, and potentially mixing spec with facts and presenting a distorted reality where speculation is fact.

Furthermore, you guys honestly think that they’re killing off Kylo for good, when we have work after work and spin-off after spin-off involving Ben Solo as a cute baby and a comic series in the works by someone that wants to humanize him further and make us feel for him.  Even if this is true, it’s likely gonna be “Force ghosts save Ben and they kill Palps once and for all” sort of scenario that has been conspicuously ignored by this guy.

As an LGBT Calgarian I don't trust the police at all. Sure they made an apology but It's all really kind of :/ in my opinion. I shouldn't be scared of the people meant to keep me safe but here we are. They had vague issues w/ not being allowed to wear their police uniforms w/ pride but also. Stonewall was a riot, being gay was a crime. It kinda makes sense but anyways thats my 2 cents pls have a good day

So this appeared on the Kalterkrieg subreddit.  Kalterkrieg is basically a fanmade sequel to Kaiserreich alternate history mod featuring a three way cold war between the Entente, the German Empire, and national populist(Fascist/Nazi) Russia after defeating the Syndicalist third Internationale in the timeline’s equivalent of WW2, the Internationale having adapted an ideology akin to Marxist-Leninism.   And apparently the German socialdemocrats collaborated with the Reds against the Imperial government.

And I will say this mod.......is so full of anti-leftist SHIT.

Whoever is making this alternate history mod are some of the most ignorant people ever.  And it’s a sad reflection of how far we have shifted to the right if Social Democrats that just want to preserve capitalism are seen as extreme leftists.  It’s based in sterotypes about building roads and free healthcare alone being socialism(not that they wouldn’t be nice to have) rather than more transformative and revolutionary interpretations.

Considering what socdems are up to in real history? Why would socdems want to work with a Marxist-Leninist esque ideology to supposedly destabilize imperialist powers.  Their historical record shows collaboration with reactionary movements, capitalism and imperialism, against revolutionary movements, they supported WWI and with regards to the SPD signed the death warrents for the Spartakus leaders at the hands of the freikorps.

Seriously, go wait for Spartakus to release, Krasnatcht(almost same premise but made by leftists with a Internationale vs. fascist Russia cold war ) or wait for TNO, the next Red World update(which does have a disturbing far right fanbase, but the mod itself does not seem to diss on leftist views and ideologies), or get the mod if it ever comes out just to rebuild the Internationale and spite the creators.

I went to middle and high school in Toronto in a liberal neighbourhood and from 2014-2016 our sex ed was like.... one condom demonstration, talking about periods, labelling symptoms of STDs, and pros and cons of contraceptives—no mention of abortion or consent or gender or sexuality or anything along those lines ever. sex ed already isn't where it needs to be and reverting to a 20-year-old curriculum is buuuuuuuuuuullshiiiiiiiiiit

Due to some recent controversy surrounding a rather nasty inter-fandom dispute in the Reylo community, I’ll be taking a break from the SW fandom, with this blog being mostly a leftist political blog for the time being with some gaming also involved.  This is not a hiatus and I’ll still be around and I’ll still be a pro-Bendemption Reylo shipper, and I still find the worldviews and the Obamaesque/Clintonesque co-opting of social justice rhetorics by antis, the refusal of antis to root out alt-right, mra/sexist/terf, racist, conservative and “anti sjw fanboy” antis within their own spaces, despite the rhetoric of “progress” and “representation” by the anti culture, along with their neglect of canon regarding Kylo’s behavior and actions to be all either quite annoying or outright reprehensible

But I don’t want to deal with the fandom right now.  It’s just too much.  I think I’ll step away from it until we’re closer to Episode IX
