wanted to buy the zine but the shipping cost literally the same amount as a physical copy itself. Very upsetting news, can I ask why shipping is so high? (outside US) I get sometimes its a bit overpriced but $25 in shipping for a book seems excessive

Because we support shipping across the world & shipping prices have gone up since the pandemic, we generalized the international shipping price to be based on weight & size (not by individual countries, for our sanity).

The book, packaged, is in a 11 x 8.5 inch flat mailer and is 2 lb. You can estimate the shipping for yourself at priateship.com/rates, but here's a screenshot so you can see what we mean:

So yeah. We don't like the prices either, but it is what it is.

If I purchase the physical zine do I still get a free bookmark or do I have to buy that separately?

Yes! All books still come with the bookmark, but if you'd like an extra (untassled) one, we have those available too. :)

Summary: Once upon a time there were two kingdoms of light, Astra and Sol. The beloved princes of these kingdoms were Prince Riku of Astra and Prince Sora of Sol. But one day, the light of Astra was stolen by the evil minister Ansem, leaving the country in darkness. Though Prince Riku tried his best, he could not find a way to restore the light. Then, he hit upon a plan. Visit Prince Sora’s country and take some of Sol’s light for his own…

What's the difference between A grade and B grade necklaces?

Great question! Think of them a bit like pins, since it's a similar process: A grade necklaces are as close to perfect as can be, with minimal flaws like specks in the enamel or compressed lines. These flaws are usually so small you can't really notice them unless you look very, very closely.

B grade necklaces have noticeable flaws, such as speckled enamel spots or spots where the gold lines didn't show up/were rubbed out. There are a few where the enamel is missing entirely. Thanks for your question, and for filling out the form so quickly!

NECKLACE UPDATE!

The necklaces are in!

Unfortunately, our manufacturer shorted us some of the items in our order, and the items delivered still had some quality issues. Rather than fight with them for another 6 months, we are going to offer a 1" pin in the shape of the front of the locket as an alternative merch solution. This will NOT delay shipping. We  created a form to allow you to choose one of the following options:

A grade necklace

B grade necklace

Replacement pin

A grade necklace or pin

No preference

If you need to change your address, you can do that on this form as well. You can find the form HERE.

SHIPPING

We're going to start shipping bundles asap!

If you chose a replacement pin, your bundle will be shipped now and the pin will be mailed to you separately so you don't have to wait another month for your stuff to arrive. 

We will start rolling out the bundles next week, starting with book-only orders, then continue to ship as we get form responses. Please be sure to let us know your preference asap so we can get your package shipped to you as soon as possible!
